The Breitner House stands as bright star among any bed and breakfast, not only in Amsterdam but on a global scale. Its owners, Camilla, and fabulous chef and fantastic husband will do whatever it takes to exceed your expectations and turn your vacation into an experience that will be long remembered. Their house holds the romantic spirit of the artful culture infused with the best breakfast experience we ever had. Prepare to be treated as royalty and leave with desire to come again. We feel that we gained not only the perfect hosts but friends for years to come. If “ten” is the maximum score, we give it “eleven”. Danny and Laura.

Breitner House totally deserves its reputation: our hosts Camilla and Guido were fantastic, extremely helpful and made our week end unforgettable. The suite was of very high standard, with all the facilities you need (at no additional charge). The breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of food and specials cooked by Guido. We will for sure go back to Breitner House for our next trip to Amsterdam.

Me and my husband have lived a wonderful week at Breitner House, that we missed as soon as we made the check out... Everything there is special, different - in a beautiful way. The atmosphere is peaceful and romantic, the rooms and their decors are superb, the hosts - Camilla and Guido - are such fine and good at heart people; it was a great delight to enter their home and meet them. Breitner House was an unforgettable experience for me and my husband, the holidays that replenished us, that filled our souls with joy, peace and positive energy, exactly what we needed in order to have our batteries recharged and come back cheerfully to our daily routines... All the best to you, Camilla and Guido, looking forward to meeting you again! May you have the health, the wisdom and the strength to achieve your projects, as we believe your guests will enjoy the results of your efforts and dedication! We miss you, Breitner House!

I cannot say enough about this wonderful place and it's hosts. It's gushing with art, music, romance, history and good food and drink... Truly the most magnificent breakfast we've ever had. Definitely stay here if you want to experience all of Amsterdam. The owners are wonderful, knowledgeable people, real Amsterdam insiders who will bend over backwards to make your stay as best it can be. It was so wonderful in the house, we had a hard time deciding whether to go out or stay in. Highly, highly recommended.

This is the first time I have actually wrote a feedback form for the hotel I have stayed. Honestly, the stay at Breitner House was an extremely unique experience. I have stayed in quite a few of five star hotels and luxurious boutique hotels, however, Breitner House beats all of them due to its exceptional design of the House and the warm welcome from the house owners. We were warmly received on the first day when we arrive the House. The house owners are exceptionally nice and kind, providing us with many useful tips of touring around Amsterdam. The breakfast was superb, the best breakfast I have even enjoyed in a hotel stay. You would certainly feel that you can skip lunch and dinner after such a big breakfast. The taste was exquisite and I heard that they are going to open their own restaurant downstairs, which is a good news as I am convinced that the food provided by the restaurant will be amazing. The house is full of history and you can feel it from all the small details in the house. It is a house of art, music and classic. If I would come to Amsterdam again, I would definitely stay in Breitner House. Can't think out anything that we dislike

Breitner House has been one of the most fantastic experiences we have had in many years of travelling. The scene was set from the moment we arrived earlier than scheduled due to a medical emergency on our flight meaning we arrived in Amsterdam an hour early at 0600. The taxi company recommended by Camilla met us at the airport and we arrived cold and unannounced at Breiner House at 0700. We were met by Camilla and Guido with a very warm welcome, nothing was too much trouble and this continued throughout our stay. After coffee, pastries and Prosceto we were shown to the Garden Room. The room is stunning, reflecting Camilla's creative flair for interior design. The room is spacious and filled with wonderful touches such as a fully lit Christmas tree, fireplace and lovely view of the garden. When rested Guido assumed the role of tour guide and mapped out an itinerary for us to get a feel of Amsterdam. The trams are a very efficient and inexpensive way to get around. Guido has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the city and we toured key areas on his advice and always found his recommendations (particularly for food and drinks) excellent. Guido recommended Rembandt Square, Flower Markets, Spui (with a drink at Hoppe), Jordan area, Noorden Markets, The Heritage (with Van Gough exhibition), as well as taking us and some other guests out of the city to a small village. Guido is truly a food aficionado and the breakfasts he provided each morning were sensational both is the range of food offered and in their artistic presentation. As well as the fine food Camilla and Guido provided excellent company and wonderful conversation over breakfast (and at other times as well). Guido and Camilla also recommended a number of fine restaurants including Oesterbar, Nee Kam, cafe 't Smaller, Sama Sebo. There are also very good eating and drinking options across the road from Breitner House for those nights you don't want to go far from home. Everything was perfect.

Gorgeous! I never thought I would stay in a hotel like this. It is difficult to determine what is the main advantage of this magical place: The furniture in the apartment, paintings, decorations brings back a time when the house was home to artists and creators. The rooms are clean and equipped with all modern amenities. The location is easily accessible and convenient to stay. Food that the owners of this house welcomed us for breakfast surpassed all our expectations. But the greatest wealth, the best reference for Breitner House are Camilla and Guido! Without them and their friendly attitude the illusion that we are in paradise wouldn't be complete. Unique you! Thank you for accepting us into your home and even briefly were the best hosts!

The Breitner House property is well positioned near to park. I have no words to explain the wonderful stay we had. The appartment is luxurious yet intimate with detail to a nice Camila & Guido touch. The breakfast is incredible. Very rich and high quality. Everything is fresh, champagne is also included. We would most certainly consider another stay and will highly recommend it to our friends. Many thanks for a wonderful stay.

A perfect "ten." The Breitner House is a treasure, and the owners are delightful. Breakfast is an event, beautifully presented. Suite is enormous and beautiful. Staying at Breitner House is an experience, and it was absolutely perfect for us. I cannot imagine that the owners will be able to maintain this level of service. It is also great value in a very expensive city. It is a great way to experience Amsterdam, unless you just want to be in the noisy center of town. Trams worked fine for us, as there are two tram stops outside the townhouse door. My husband and I even invited the owners to call and visit us if they visit our city. Jan and Chris

We liked everything at our stay: the welcome was very warm and it was more coming into the house of friends than checking into a hotel. The suites are incredible - tasteful, luxurious, lots of space, very comfortable beds, beautiful bathroom, tasty goodies, wine, saoft drinks - all included. We had the ground suite with a little terrasse and the weather was good enough to sit outside. Location is great as there are two trams stopping in front of the house with easy access to the most important parts of the city. It only took us 45 min door to door from the airport. Camilla and Guido are incredible hosts and nothing is too much trouble. They know the city like the back of their hands and gave us great recommendations for lunch and dinner. Guido even took us to the Joordan quarter to save us the trouble of changing tram and we were dropped right next to the beautiful Saturdy market. Breakfast was the best we have ever come across : little quiches, tiny Dutch pancakes, fresh fruit, eggs, fresh juice, champagne, salmon, variety of cheese, delicious coffee, cake.....enough to keep us going to dinner. They have only been open for three month but already incredibly popular - no wonder. if we return to Amsterdam - that's where we will stay again - if we are lucky enough to get a room!

I was in Breitner House for 3 days with my wife for her birthday. I have no words to explain the wonderful stay we had. There is a magical atmosphere in Breitner house. Camilla and Guido are two special persons who make you feel better than at home, and are very available and experts to advise you any visit/ suggestions about Amsterdam. The breakfast is incredible. Very rich and high quality. Everything is fresh and homemade. Champagne is also included. The room was wonderful: furnitures are classic and so lovely. The bed is really comfortable and you sleep like a king. Thanks CAmilla and Guido for your kindness and your help. We hope to come back very soon.

It was my first time at Breitner House. Being a tour escort for Chinese VIP-guests, I trusted BH. I could use one word to describe what I was looking for: class. In the end I could say: "They did not let me down." The guest enjoyed her stay and kept talking about how she was pampered by the hosts. The breakfast was fabulous with lots of choice in fresh fruits and typical Dutch pastries. Breitner House's atmosphere was fantastic. The guest did not feel like being a guest: it felt like being home. The rooms are extremely spacious and for that price I am sure it wouldn't be easy to have an equivalent for that price in Amsterdam. The location is perfect. Across Breitner House is Oosterpark, a very vivid park. Although being a VIP, she preferred to take the tram, because it was new to her. In about 15 minutes you will be at the Dam Square. Breitner House is very clean as well. The beds are made very, very neatly. The moment you see the bed, it's hard to resist to lay on it: it's just too tempting. The bath room is very luxurious as well, having a "rain shower" and supplying all the amenities you need. If you would like to enjoy a "prince or princess experience" in Amsterdam, you'll definitely need to pay a visit to Breitner House. After all, for being a tour escort I have seen lots of accomodations and I could tell you that I cannot recall any other place that could match Breitner House. Well done!

The hotel is excellent! I liked crazy. The hotel is located near the park, at night you can sleep easily in a convenient bed, but 5 minutes by a tram and you are in the city center. Rooms are big and very beautiful, always were fresh flowers and fruit. The breakfast was just great, champagne, fresh juice, fresh bread, cutting of cheeses and various sausages, fresh fruit, pancakes, pies, baked puddings!!! It was very tasty! In hotel very cozy atmosphere, you feel at home. And certainly I should tell about owners who created such comfort and beauty. Camilla and Guido are wonderful people. It was very pleasant to communicate with them. They are very kind, hospitable, with good sense of humour, fine people. I adore them!!! Everything was perfect!!! I reccomend this hotel!!!!

This exclusive bed & breakfast place is simply exceptional and unique, never seen any other like this before! Get ready to be teleported into a fascinating sort of modern 19th century Amsterdam world, in the midst of the writers and artist painters who actually lived there in earlier times. A truly amazing experience! If that was not enough, it was also a culinary and visual delight for true gourmets, with a very opulent champagne breakfast made with a lot of love by Camilla and Guido, very friendly, entertaining and interesting couple treating you like family. Indeed, we were warmly welcomed! We can only recommand this place that will leave a very lasting and extraordinary impression in our memories. Just unforgettable!

We cherished the moment we spent in Breitner House. It is a lovely and romantic space to feel the real love for life. The hosts are super wonderful people who enjoy to share with guests. Besides, the location is pretty good. Natural park is only opposite to the villa. It's our best ever experience for hotels. We will definately love to stay more time with Breitner House next trip.

Without a doubt the best hotel experience I've/we've ever experienced. From the first minute the hosts make you feel at home. I will not talk about the interior design, which is just splendid and covets you in a warm blanket. The hosts will do everything to help you enjoy your stay and will stimulate your brain activity with interesting conversations (if you wish). The thing is: when you leave this place, you wish you could pack the atmosphere and the two hosts with you, so that when you come home, you can unpack and continue enjoying them!

This is a jewel of a property. As soon as you walk in to the property you are met with a fabulous dining area with lots of art by Breitner and other period artists. The Suite I stayed in was magnificent, with a lovely courtyard garden. Again the room was filled with interesting pieces of art. The breakfasts were very generous and the welcome I received was as a friend rather than an hotel guest - I thoroughly welcome Breitner House to anyone who wants a change from traditional hotels in Amsterdam.
