The room was larger than average, very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with a wide range of options. Location was ideal within easy walking distance of the city centre but relatively quiet. |

The staff was amazing! They were the epitome of what hotel staff should be in every way. The price was fantastic! Love the fact that breakfast was included. It's a very quaint hotel on the river. There are bars, restaurants, and theatre (next door) within walking distance, however, some of the major attractions are easier accessed via public transportation which is great and reasonably priced in Amsterdam. Though the hotel is on the river, our room did not have a view. But what can you expect when you get a cheap rate. The room was large, comfortable, and clean. Some people may not like the fact that attractions such as the Van Gogh Museum and the Anne Frank House are not within close proximity. However, in my opinion, Amsterdam has extremely good public transportation. Every few blocks, there's either a tram, a bus, or the underground train. The price is reasonable. Especially if you get a 24-hour, 48-hour or 72-hour pass that allows you on all three any time within that 24-, 48-, or 72-hour period. |

Very helpful staff. The location is perfect - quiet but close enough to the city centre. Great shopping, bars and restaurants just 5 mins walk away. |

Very friendly, helpful staff. Great location, quiet but close to the city, with tram stops nearby and walking distance to some nice shopping and eating places. Room was spacious, shower a good size. Room recently upgraded so all fresh and clean. No complaints. No lift but to be expected in an old building |

I liked the wooden floor in the room, the fact that it was clean and I had an individual heater so could warm up at night when it got chilly. breakfast not impressive but sufficient. Staff friendly and efficient. no hair dryer in the room |

The hotel is very quite (at least the back rooms), the personnel (especially the ladies at the reception) very professional, cheerful and helpful. The location is great, close to the public transport, but you can reach all the interest spots comfortably by walking. The rooms are modern, but at the same time romantic and very comfortable. The hotel offers very good breakfast buffet. There is no lift, but too many steep steps in the hotel. It was not our problem, but it could bother elderly persons, kids or anyone with heavy luggage. |

The location is excelent, a walking distance to famous A'dam sightseeing places. The breakfast was very nice. The price/room was very fair and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I also liked that it was rather quiet arond so that I could sleep very well. very steep staircase and no lift. B-) I had very heavy bags which I had to carry myself |

Perfect location by the river, quiet surroundings, clean, very good breakfast buffet and good value for money. A hair dryer in the bathroom would have been good. The bed was a bit small in the single room I had. |

We enjoyed very much our stay at the hotel. The location was very good (on the Amstel river) . The hotel has a very nice view. The Staff was very helpfull. Breakfast was a little bit boring but the food was good. The room was clean and newly renovated. We were able to rent bikes directly from the hotel reception for 15 Euros/day. |

Helpful and friendly staff, good breakfast, lack of traffic noise, convenient location. In both rooms that we used, there was inadequate lighting and lack of mirrors and hooks. The modernized room lacked storage space and had a noisy industrial locker instead of a wardrobe. |

The hotel was quiet, and the selection at the breakfast buffet was very good I know Amsterdam is an extremely expensive city, but this hotel was extremely overpriced. The condition of our room was very worn, there was no AC, and hair dryer was broken. I was very disappointed. |

Hotel staff was great except couple of them. Room was nice, clean, quiet and comforting, felt safe with the locked entrance. Really great breakfast!!!! Pretty good location to center of Amsterdam. I would come back and stay here for future visits. One of the hotel staff was a little rude. Sometimes cleaning job should have more effort, but that's just my standards~ |
