Sightseeing in the city, a little far out but within walking distance of city centre. Excellent breakfast with lots of choice. We asked reception for a kettle and cups for our room and they were given to us immediately along with a selection of tea bags and sachets of hot chocolate.

The location was great, close to everything. Nice, clean, modern hotel Their breakfast is very good, with a lot of options. The rooms showed modern simple furnitures, bright clear colors on the walls. We did not like the way they wellcome us the first evening when we arrived. The person at the reception was not kind, not friendly. She does not know how to welcome guests ( clients!). Sne was proper but not wellcoming. The next morning we were happy to find another person, very nice. The room downstair was close to the stairs (wood) and we could listened noices of people up and down the stairs

Very good location. Very good buffet breakfast. Very clean hotel. Friendly staff & free computer use. Very poor lighting. 400 watt bulb in the bathroom--far away from the mirror. No wash cloths, no soap, no kleenex, no a/C. Room was hot and when we opened the windows, it became noisy. Lots of stairs, not good for seniors or those with walking problems. Stairs were steep and narrow. Tub was not so good. However, having said all of that, we would stay there again. Very good value for the money. We would recommend with the above notations.

Staff very helpful in pointing out restaurant and shopping areas, museums, etc. and how to use trams. This hotel is centrally located on the Amstel River, close to subway and trams, and our room overlooking a canal was very quiet - hotel was not busy during our stay. Buffet breakfast was quite good - breads, deli meats and cheeses, fruit, cereals, hard boiled eggs, juices, tea, coffee. Storage room available for early arrival, etc. Very steep stairs up to the lobby and again to the rooms. No lift available, making it very difficult for anyone with mobility problems or with heavy luggage.

The hotel location was convenient but in a quiet section. The staff were very helpful, friendly and efficient. The riverview balcony room was large and very clean. Beds and bedding were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet had several selections of breads, fruit, cereal, yogurt, cold meats, cheeses, etc. We would definitely recommend this hotel to any age group and we would certainly stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bridge. Our room was spacious, well lit and had a fantastic view of the Amstel Canal. We stayed in the Skinny Bridge Studio (4 beds) which had ample room for a family with two teenage children. It had a kitchenette and a greate TV lounge area. We bought our meals at the nearby AH supermarket and simply heated them in the oven provided. Breakfast was perfect (simple and good quality). Location to the city was also good - 20 minute scenic walk or catch the tram. Would absolutely recommend this place. This hotel has many steep staircases, so would not recommend it for elderly or disabled guests.

We had a canal view room. It is worth the extrra price. It was beautiful. We had to change dates a few days because of a hurricane and the hotel was completely accomidating even though we had a non- refundable booking! They were great!! Also, the location is fantastic. Quiet enough, but near everything. We really enjoyed this hotel. The breakfast is lovely to, and really helped our budget.

The Staff and their service. The basic skylight twin room is not a good choice. We had to upgrade to a larger room and pay the difference. No Lift and our original room.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the bridge hotel. From the reception staff to cleaning staff everyone had such a lovely welcome. We booked a basic double room.our room had two huge windows looking out at the river and the beautiful Magere Brug bridge also known as the skinny bridge. The breakfast was lovely everything from cereals breads juices and salads perfect to a start the day. We got to lie in for breakfast until 12 for new yrs day which was very nice. The location was fantastic we were within walking distance of all the tourists spots but yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle the busy Rembrandtplein and Dam squares. We were delighted with the hotel and would definately recommend it to other travellers. We will be back to amsterdam and the bridge hotel thanks for everything :)

We had really warm welcome all was fine until me and my partner have decided to change the room.the one we were offered was really outdated with wooden, squeaky floor, nothing like promised in the reservation.we felt like in the cheap hostel.from that moment receptionist made us feel utterly unwelcome.like we did something wrong.for 140 euro/night u r entitled to have some expectations, aren't u?!b-fast was just basic,no hot food at all!no service, hotel staff using b-fast room and sitting among the guests!some staff eating at the back of the restaurant, laughing, gossiping not being around cleaning tables for instance.no lifts in the hotel.for that price u can get really great hotel in London,Paris,Warsaw,Berlin.go there instead waste money in Amsterdam!unless u wanna spend 140 quid for something close to hostel.good luck!

Very good location, rather friendly atmosphere, helpful staff, good breakfast, proper service, free Wi-fi and Internet The rooms lower the first floor are rather wet and poor furnished, while booking it is better to ask upper floor rooms.

Loved the healthy and comprehensive selection of the breakfast. Central location allowed for walking to all the main attractions of Amsterdam. Large windows had a great view of the canal. Bathroom did not have any shelves for toiletries (except for a very small one directly above the toilet.) a coat hook in the bathroom would be convenient.

Breakfast offered a variety of good quality and healthy choices to keep you going for the whole morning. Newly renovated and spacious bathroom. The room was comfortable and clean but lack of an outside window created a sense of confinement. (The skylights did help a little.)

Location within walking distance of most attractions, right next to two Canals, Canal view rooms, and we got a great free room upgrade. Breakfast was good too. Steep climb to our 3rd floor room with heavy baggage.

My wife and I had a great stay and in Amsterdam as well as the hotel, once we found our way around the city the hotel it is close to the sites, eating locations and all the other attractions!, Dont just look at the map and thinks it is to far from attractions. Tea and coffee on request 24hrs a day from reception.
No complaint, but nowadays I think tea, coffee etc are expected in rooms
at modern hotels but it may be a dutch thing, like the way they make a
cup of tea
