The hotel is conveniently located in the middle of mature forest between Den Haag and Wassenaar. Good beds, spacy room with two chairs, free tea and coffee until 10 P.M. Although we didn't have the time to do so, it was informed that one can take a nice 15 mins walk within the premise. A beautiful surrounding when you can sit outside. If you value a modern bathroom in a hotel, we would not recommend this hotel. The bathroom was very small and humid as there was little ventilation. We did complain about not having had enough hot water to shower and the water pressure being too low. On the day of our departure they said they had similar complains about the shower and someone would come fix the problem.

Breakfast buffet, friendly staff, access to cofee and tea Not all towels were changed daily, small tv that isn't easy to hear and see from a distance (the sound was locked), the room wasn't dusted either on a daily basis.

The hotel is situated in woodland so is calm and peaceful but is only a few km from the centre of the Hague and from the coast. We could help ourselves to fresh ground coffee / assorted teas with biscuits and fruit at any time which was nice. We didn’t eat in the restaurant in the evening – there was a three course set meal at around 38 euros which looked inviting but we chose to go into the Hague where there is an excellent choice of restaurants. We’d certainly consider using the hotel again.

We were very impressed with the hotel mamagement and staff, they made every effort to make us feel very comfortable. The chef and his staff were fantastic and the food was of a high standard. It was an ideal location as we were staying for two weeks to spend time with family in Wassenaar. The suroundings were beautiful and we were close to the bus stop if we needed to travel. All in all a lovely experience and a hotel we would higly reccommend.

All the staff we met at Buitengoed HagenHorst were genuinely helpful, friendly, and very professional. The hotel itself is set in natural gardens away from the main road, so no traffic noise. It's very convenient for Den Haag and Leiden by bicycle hired from the hotel. And it's different in a very good way - not just another anonymous box in a multinational chain - and you are made to feel at home. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and both hot and cold food. Dinner was excellent. Our bathroom was a little worn and out-dated and the extractor runs day and night. Each week has a single three course menu - identical every evening, which is a shame, but that said, the chef happily provided a special for us to avoid repetition.

Very cosy hotel with a lovely garden and free parking. Exellent for bike trips or a weekend in Den Haag and close to some nice beaches. Very good espresso too - we will go there again! A little noisy in the morning (vacuuming and cleaning at 9 A.M. Saturday morning). Doors are being closed at midnight. Breakfast could be improved.

Set in a beautiful and quiet wooded location but close enough to a main road to get into Den Haag reasonably easily. I enjoyed the two nights in this hotel. Probably best suited for those with their own transport. I found the price reasonable compared with other hotels in the area. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Two small points. One is that my room did not have a wardrobe but instead had hangers on hooks. As a result I had to hang trousers over the backs of chairs. It would also be nice for some food (other than breakfast) to be available, even a sandwich. Despite these comments I would use this hotel again if I was working again in the same area.

Location is ideal for visiting Wasennaar, Den Haag and may other cities of the netherlands. Also just 20 mins from Kuerkenhoff the tulip gardens which is a great tourist attraction. Sadly while our room was bright and airey there was just 4 hooks to hang your clothes ( No wardrobe ) and overall the hotel is in our view in need of a facelift.

It was good having free tea and coffee facilities, a chance to try different drinks I would not normally have at home. The setting was beautiful and it was far enough away from the main road, so nice and quiet at night. It was near enough, however, to the road for good access to buses and the area is definately well served by buses. It was good to have a buffet breakfast instead of a fixed breakfast, meant that we could eat enough in the morning and not need a lunch stop. The rooms were comfortable and, although not fancy, the facilities were just right. All in all it was thoroughly enjoyable.

The staff were without exception pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful and we really appreciated the on-tap tea, coffee, biscuits, sweets and fruit on offer at all times. Everything was clean, welcoming and comfortable. We also enjoyed sitting outside on the terrace and strolling through the wood in the grounds. Although it was quiet and nicely tucked away from the main road, access to the road and therefore to frequent buses was quick and easy. We had a highly enjoyable stay altogether.
