Dining room and continental breakfast I booked an executive room yet was put into a smelly standard room. When I complained I was told that there was a mistake and I should've been put in a nice room and that when I return to Amsterdam next they'll make sure I get a nice room. Staff at desk had nothing more to say.

Only one point to make about this hotel, excellent members of Staff, Location of hotel is in quiet Area. Also free tea and coffey was available 24 hours a day, but hotel charge for bottled water, This hotel is in no way a 4* hotel, on a good day a 2* is being kind, Not expected standerd for a Best Western property, Local resturants are over priced and poor quality of food, as this hotel has no dinning room, your are forced to eat out,

The staff were friendly and the room was comfortable enough. I also like the interior design of the hotel. The breakfast was also good and reasonable. The tea and coffee was free of charge served with tasty cookies. It was a little bit far from the city centre; however, it is very close to the Amsterdam Zuid train station.

The location was great, a short block to the #5 tram which took you past museums, the back of the palace/dam square and dropped you off in front of Centraal Station the heart of Amsterdam. The price included breakfast that was great, the staff was very accommodating and friendly. The hotel has a nice green space in front of it so it was quiet and it had some beautiful sculptural's in it. The room were clean and the bed was comfortable. I would stay there again. I didn't like the buzzer system to much, a card reader/access would be a better late night security system.

I loved the cleanliness, and the very large bathroom! The balcony to outside was also lovely as the entire hotel was smoke-free. The beds were very comfortable, I had little disturbance from other rooms, and the location was near the oddest piece of art- a golden man on a giant turtle! The tram was easily accessible, which made the whole city easily accessible. The balcony was shared, I believe, so I was apprehensive about my door being locked. Also, when people were on the balcony I could hear them clear as day which made me uncomfortable and reclusive. Also, they had no muffins or pastries for purchase, so because I missed breakfast I had nothing to eat until I went to the airport.

The service and staff were all extremely good, the downside for me was the intensely small rooms and the overall decoration and furnitures all look very tardy, the breakfast.

Away from all the hassle and hustle of amsterdam, but tram 5 and 24 takes only 15 - 20 mins. Secure and safe area for small family. I particulary liked the outdoor pulic park oposite the hotel. Comfort facilities in room 135 Breakfast was fair, usual ham, bread, cereal, juice, fruits etc, no hot breakfast. No tea facilities in room althoug free tea was available in the reception all day No internet station in the lounge areas, very frustration if one need to check emails. Free wifi in rooms if you have your own laptop or phone. Could not use it because I did not bring the laptop

Pleasant staff The floor boards in the lobby were loose and creaked loudly every time some-one walked over it and since our room 128 was dirrectly above it we didn't sleep for most of the night. The elevator was noisy too. Please carpet the entrance way to avoid this and keep the noise level down.

Stuff not nice at all, hotel himself, nice, room totally ok, clean+balcony(I get with balcony), with elevator, a little far from center, but I chose it because I need 1 night in hotel near airport and not so far from city in case I will decide to walk.

Pretty good location, few step to Tram No. 5, easy to reach airport. And also easy to reach city center. View is good in this hotel, close to a lovely river, a lot green with reasonable price. Room has no water cooking machine, need to go downstair for coffee and tea. But of course, the good point is , they offer 24 hour free coffee tea at the lobby and take away.

A beautiful and quiet residential district. A block from 2 tram lines that bring you to downtown within 20 minutes and the museums are 10 minutes away by tram.... A nice comfortable ride and one can enjoy the scenery. The tram 1,2 or 3 day tickets give you the liberty of hop- on/off with the same price, a service that we do not get in America .... too bad! Room 374 is spacious enough with a 3 pane window and has a king size bed (in Europe these beds are usually 2 singles side by side) with a narrow but long balcony giving on a treed garden thus very quiet even with the door opened. I highly recommend this room.A Pleasant breakfast from almost hard boiled eggs ( I asked for some 3 min. Eggs and they obliged me and the young lady refused a tip.), cold meats, cold cereals etc..... An automatic coffee/hot water machine is there 24/7 with ginger biscuits also and apples. Wireless in the room. Parking is expensive ( 21.50 euro/day and free from 7 P.M. till 9 A.M., otherwise 3 euros/h). The canal tours are a must... 6-8 euros/person for 1 to 1.5h. Amazing to see people of all ages using the bike but as a pedestrian, beware of the bike!!!! They come from every directions even directions you have never thougtht off and fast. Bathroom has no counter which is a nuisance when you are there for 3-4 days otherwise,a very good size for an European bathroom. Electrical plugs are hard to reach save one by the main door which is not handy for the desk.
