Amrâth Grand Hotel Heerlen  

The Amrath Grand Hotel Heerlen atmosphere is excellent. I have stay here previously and I will stay here again. The breakfast is exzcellent and the variety is excellent of the quality of food.

Breakfast was excellent. The desk personnel were very attentive and very customer oriented.

The staff was amazing. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The location was awesome. The breakfast was very good. Rooms was very clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The only complaint is me and my boyfriend got a double bed but it was two single beds pushed together. Very hard to sleep together without falling through the crack of the two beds. I dont think this is just the hotel thing. As I have seen it in many other europe hotels.

We stayed on the 6th floor. One of the 2 elevators didn't work at all, and the other one broke down 3x in a weekend. We visited with our old, 70 lbs dog and had to carry him upstairs each time the elevator broke down. The bathroom had a tile missing in the ceiling. We stayed for 3 nights. The breakfast buffet is only till 11:00 on the weekend. During the week it's only till 10:00. The reception forgot to mention this, so we got the leftovers on Monday morning. We are regulars here and were always satisfied, but this visit was far from that. Reporting all the discomfort, all we got was a "sorry".

It is very close to the city centre

You have to pay a fee per day in order to park your car at the hotel's parking lot

The hotel is conveniently located near the city center. Since it is quite cheap for Dutch standards do not expect high quality. It is under construction which is likely to improve the outdated interior.

Breakfast is minimal and isn't fresh. Hotel is located en route to city center; none of the rooms are quiet even with windows closed. Bed is tough too so did not get much sleep. Bathroom is badly fitted, shower moved when stepping into it, water temperature variated a lot and hose moved about.

Location

The hotel is rather old and outdated, certainly no 4 stars. On the other hand, the price is also not of a 4 star Hotel :)

The junior-suite is a spacy room and had a nice view on the snow-covered-park.

The hotel desperately needs a re-decoration. Furniture, carpets, walls, elevators, actually everything is old and needs to be replaced or repainted! No value for money.

Receptie zeer vriendelijk en acuraat Kamer goed verzorgt, zelf een kopje koffie was aan wezig. Keuken vonden wij uitsteken, weinig toevoegingen in het eten,wij kunnen daar slecht tegen dus waren we blij verrast.

De kruk van de deur aan de buitenkant zit los,geeft een beetje slordig indruk. Maar waar hebben we het over de rest was uitstkend.

Het meest slecht onderhouden vier sterren hotel waar ik ooit ben geweest.En voor mijn werk moet ik veel overnachten in hotels. Niet meer gerenoveerd sinds de jaren '80 Je krijgt het idee dat de eigenaar er geen zier om geeft.Enkele voorbeelden: vies oud beschimmeld douche gordijn, een niet werkende tv uit het jaar nul die de technische dienst zou maken maar vervolgens niet deed,Op het hoofd bord van het bed een stopcontact dat los zat lijkt mij levensgevaarlijk.witte vitrage die ooit wit was maar nu grijs van het vuil.En dan als klapper op de vuurpijl het meest onsmakelijke ontbijt dat er bestaat, een gestolde gele klomp die voor roerei moest doorgaan bruingrijs uitgeslagen bacon, zo kan ik nog wel uren doorgaan doe ik niet.Ik raad iedereen ten zeerste af hier te logeren!
