Best Western Palace Hotel Zandvoort  

This was the worst Western I have ever stayed in. Unfortunately, the hotel does not deserve this label. The room that I got looked like a transformed storage place with two walls under the angle offering very basic comfort and poor sanitary facilities. The breakfast room looked like a war zone with hotel guests fighting for a place to sit down and I had to clean my own table in order to start eating. The place was very untidy and hotel staff rather clueless. It is a pity because the best WESTERN(s) outside The Netherlands have rather good standards.

Quick and Easy for a solo traveler, access to anything in Zandvoort. I even took a scooter all the way to kuenkenhof, a long journey but very well worth it.

The elevators were a pain, so I just took the stairs.

Excellent for Amsterdam trips, without Amsterdam Hotel prices.

Bathroom - basin would not hold water - defective plugs.

It is not a 4 stars hotel, not the hotel, not the service, not the buffet, nothing , but we have a lot of fun in Zandvoort , nice place

It´s likely on the beach, easy to find and an excellent stuff, they are so helpful! The rooms are really clean, free wifi

The fee for parking is high

Good Central Heating. Refrigerator for own brought drinks and or food. Close to all kind of restaurants. Close to train station and bus stop.. Quick response on my request to de-clog the shower drain.

Two days it happened that the room was not made up. When I returned to my room, surprisingly the sign that I put on the door to clean my room was turned from make-up to don't disturb. A safe would be nice to have. Paint couls have a touch up. Broken window latch should be repaired..Internet slow and unstable

The rooms are old and in need of renovation.The hotel is old and in need of renovation. The elevator does not stop at all floors and we needed to use the stairs. There was no tea / coffee facility in the room - we needed to ask reception for this which we had to carry to our room and bring back to reception. There was no hair-drier in the room - we had to ask reception. The bar bridge was only stocked with 2 bottles of water. The hotel claims to be a 4 star but it is no more than a 3 or 2 star, honestly.

Der Allgemeine äussere Zustand des Hotels- Vor ca. 20 Jahren sah die Fassade noch gut aus. Ich denke bis heute wurde nicht mehr daran gearbeitet.

das komplette Hotel incl. der Zimmer ist mehr als renovierungsbedürftig. In dem Zustand nicht empfehlenswert.

Zweckmäßig und sauber

Es ist kein hervorragender Standard doch die Ausstattung ist ok

das Frühstück, die nahe Lage am Meer, freundliches Personal an der Rezeption, der morbide Charme eines nach heutigen Gesichtspunkten nicht gelungenen Baus (Hochhaus, 19 Stockwerke)

Wir mussten uns kurzfristig eine Unterkunft suchen, leider war für das gebuchte Wochenende (Brückentag!) an der holländischen Nordseeeküste nahezu alles schon ausgebucht. In der Not haben wir das Best Western mit dem größeren Zimmer und damit auch zu einem relativ hohen Preis gebucht. Leider musste auch das Parken des PKWs am Hotel extra bezahlt werden. Da ich noch etwas Schulenglisch konnte, klappte auch die Verständigung im Hotel ganz gut. Dennoch muss es verwundern, dass das Personal kaum Deutsch sprach, zählt (oder zählte?) doch Zandvoort zu einem beliebten Ziel der Deutschen (oder war das nur früher in 60 u. 70iger Jahren?? - ich war als Kind schon 1961 dort -). Vielleicht liegt es ja auch an der unrühmlichen deutschen Vergangenheit. Es ist verständlich, dass die Fensterglasscheiben an der Nordsee durch die Witterung schnell milchig werden. Dennoch empfehlen wir ein häufigeres Putzen der Fenster.
