Best Western Hotel Spaander  

We liked the traditional feel of the hotel ,you would know you were in Holland by the surroundings The waitresses were in traditional costume which was a nice touch The hotel was very cleanT .

The only downside was the bathroom was a bit too small and cramped

Central location convenient for all local facilities. Convenient for day trips to Amsterdam.

Rooms not soundproof, dirty balcony which was quoted by hotel as unusable anyway because of insect problem, Meals overpriced and generally poor value for money.,

very expensive for a village with nothing important except from the lake. 6.50 Euro for a bottle of water is rediculous

The location and the sentimental value of bygone days

The location suited our travel plans and although we only stayed 1 night the whole experience was a pleasant one. I would definitely stay again.

There was a bit of confusion booking on line as we booked the last 3 rooms. One room could be a double, but I only had 1 person for it but Reception sorted out the problem.

The hotel is in the main street of Volendam, so close to food, shops etc without being too noisy. The hotel itself was very nice with plush furnishings etc. The room and facilities were great - the bed wasnt too comfortable though. It was great to open the balcony door and watch the sun rise over the ocean from our bed. Request a "lake side view" if possible. It was fantastic.

There was 2 single beds pushed together for a double room - complete with single blankets etc. It was very uncomfortable to snuggle in.

Mooie ligging direct bij het gebeuren. Goed verzorgde kamers. Vriendelijk personeel.

Het ontbijt was gewoontjes.

tijdens ons (kort) verblijf was er echt niets negatiefs aan te merken

Hotel licht aan de dijk, waar vele winkels zijn voor souveniers.We zijn er in de winter en in de zomer geweest, was allebei leuk om te ervaren.Maar in de zomer kun je lekker in een cafe/restaurant genieten van de omgeving, en kun je lekker buiten zitten.

De eerste keer hadden we een luxe kamer, dat was verder prima.Nu een gewone kamer, maar de badkamer was wel super klein en krap.
