In the heart of the Hanseatic city of Zutphen, this Eden Hotel provides you with a tasteful mix of old and new. Its authentic building, known as Huize van Kasteele, is complemented by modern wings. In the hotel you can admire 17th and 18th century paintings, as well as modern art.

The large terrace is a great place to sit out with a drink. Thanks to its outside heaters and big parasols, you can dine here in any kind of weather. Often there's live music to add to the atmosphere.

For special occasions you need a special dining experience. The modern Serre Restaurant with its glass roof is situated on the ground floor of the hotel. This unique, light space, with its splendid view of the hotel’s beautiful courtyard, is also the setting for the delightful breakfast buffet in the mornings.

In the restaurant De Gravin you can dine below one of the characteristic, romantic arches in the basement of “Huize van de Kasteele". The restaurant has given the atmosphere of centuries ago a modern touch.

We had expected luxurious rooms. I had requested a double bed and the room we had been given was far too small for two people and luggage. It was even too small for a single person. We contacted Reception who confirmed the rooms were the kind provided via Internet booking. They were able to offer us a larger, twin-bedded room, which suited us better.	7

Ging voor de verjaardag van een familielid, die Hotel Eden recommandeerde, had tegelijkertijd echt het gevoel er even uit te zijn, het restaurant is prima. Ik weet zeker dat ik er weer zal komen. De ambiance is heel prettig. Ach niet tevreden, ik vind in verhouding tot de kamerprijs het ontbijt nogal aan de dure kant, is er niet iets te bedenken dat er verschil is tussen kleine ontbijters of grote. Het lawaai s'morgens is wel pittig in de straat aan de achterkant van het hotel. Ik zal b.v. voortaan om een rustige kamer vragen.	8.5
