Campanile Hotel & Restaurant Leeuwarden is a friendly hotel offering affordable accommodation in a convenient and easily accessible location, making it perfect for a stopover or as a base when visiting the city of Leeuwarden. Situated about 75 minutes journey time from Amsterdam, Leeuwarden is an old town with canals, museums and shopping streets with terraces, bars and discotheques. In the surroundings of Leeuwarden there are many old towns and picturesque villages, 10,000 hectares of water made up of hundreds of canals and 30 lakes with yachting harbours and sailing schools, 8,500 hectares of forest and nature reserves.

With good facilities including its own restaurant and children’s playground, this easily accessible hotel is a good option when visiting Leeuwarden.

For lunch and dinner you can choose from the menu and the chef's specials. Help yourself to as much as you like from the starter and desert buffets. For children there is a special menu. The restaurant is open from 12:00 to 14:30 for lunch and from 18:00 to 21:30 for dinner.

The hotel was fine, and the price was probably in line with cost of hotel rooms in Europe at this time. I am more used to hotel prices and values in the US, which are far superior $ for $

the staff so friendly and happy. Restaurant had great food and service. Easy walk into town and train station, only 10 minutes! Great breakfast.

I thought it was a little bit expensive for a very clean but basic room.

Kamer was eenvoudig, maar goed. Zeer geschikt voor kort gebruik, bijv 1 à 2 nachten. Goede matras/beddegoed. Mogelijkheid een kopje koffie of thee te gebruiken.

Bed stond ong. 15 cm van de muur vandaan. Het was een hele toer om in en uit bed te komen; bijna niet mogelijk erlangs te lopen. De toiletpot had iets schoner gekund. De gastendoekjes bij de wastafel waren wel erg klein!!!

De kamer zag er netjes uit en het personeel was vriendelijk.

Het is vervelend als ze precies om half tien komen vragen hoe ver je bent met het ontbijd. Je voelt je enigzins opgejaagd. Ik kan best begrijpen dat er een eindtijd is, maar begin dan gewoon rustig de spullen af te ruimen. Dit is duidelijk genoeg lijkt me.
