Restaurant & Hotel Carelshaven is surrounded by a beautiful garden and a large park. Enjoy the quiet surroundings and the rich cuisine. The hotel has tastefully furnished double rooms with a private bathroom with a bathtub. Some rooms have a small terrace or balcony. The bright sun room and the spacious sun terrace offer a pretty view of the grounds. The restaurant serves delicious dishes, which you can complement with wines from Italian and French origin. Prima kamer met balkon en mooi uitzicht op de weilanden. Dat het ontbijt niet inbegrepen was in de prijs vond ik onduidelijk bij de boeking evenals de zogenaamde laagste prijsgarantie. Het zijn de normale prijzen voor de kamers. De aparte hoge kosten voor het ontbijt nodigen niet uit om er gebruik van te maken.

Ik vond het hotel niet meer van deze tijd en de bediening liet te wensen over. Bij aankomst was alles donker rond het hotel. Het was moeilijk om een parkeerplaats te vinden vanwege slechter verlichting. Kom binnen in hoten en er is geen receptie, die is pas verderop en er is niemand. Er komt iemand aangelopen die me een formulier overhandig voor mijn gegebens terwijl ik deze al had ingevuld online. Wordt gevraagd naar paspoort maar blijkt niet nodig. Krijg bos sleutels in de hand gedrukt en zit vervolgens 5 minuten te prutsen om de kamer binnen te komen. De kamer is en badkamer is van begin 1900. Bar en alle faciliteiten worden bediend door slechts 2 personen. bestel een bier aan de bar, er komt iemand binnen stormen die om water vraagt voor een lege accu. Deze persoon word geholpen voordat ik mijn bier krijg. Nu heb ik er echt schoon genoeg van, betaal de kamer en ga meteen weg. Vond de hele sfeer in het hotel onprettig.

Hotelkamers zijn gezellig, goede bedden en badkamers zijn heel schoon en goed ingericht. Restaurant gezellig en perfect eten. Er zijn meerdere eetkamers. Bekijk de arrangementen die ze aanbieden. Bij vertrek werd pas vermeld dat er ook kamers beneden zijn. Handig om te weten als je slecht ter been bent.

Het personeel was erg servicegericht. Goede keuken. De kamer doen ouderwets aan. Bijvoorbeeld een mengkraan ipv een themostaatkraan, douchegordijn ipv scherm en douchen in het bad.

Die Ruhe mit Zimmer nach hinten zu den freien Feldern, Restaurant im Hause, das Essen war hervorragend. Zwar nicht im Niedrigsegment, aber wenn man in diesem Hotel bucht, weiß man das. Die Bedienung der Dusche war gewöhnungsbedürftig bis man endlich die richtige Wassertemperatur hatte. Auch war der Duschvorhang der Badewanne nicht ideal, da nachher das Bad unter Wasser stand.

Diner was goed, maar geen culinair hoogstandje. Prijsverhouding wijn zeer netjes t.o.v. de gerechten. Stoffige kamer. Douche in bad met wel een zeer bijzondere werking, kwamen er niet uit hoe het vermeld stond dus moesten navraag gaan doen bij de receptie die ons terugstuurde zonder even mee te lopen.
