Even though I booked a ¨twin bed room¨ from the two given selections of ¨french bed¨ and ¨twin bed¨ on the booking.com web site, they gave us a french bed room. (Not to mention that we are two large guys) It was even without any need additionally and especially again stated on the notes part of the booking that we wanted a twin bed room. Therefore, we were not given what we purchased. They did not spend any efforts to cover their mistake and just offered us an additional blanket which never was brought to the room. Attitude of the staff to us was not very friendly and just rudely told us thats the only option. Being deceived and being subject to that rude attitude was not acceptable... Hope you will not experience the same at your holiday... There is a big construction site just next to it... Do not expect much calmness for your comfort.

All went well. Cleaner as it looks, with the only down-side being the location, which was 8 minute walk to Amstel-Station, which takes 10 minutes to reach the City-Center

The hotel really exceeded my expectations. I was hoping for a decent place to sleep, but it was far better than that for my purposes. The hotel is beautiful and it has quite modern facilities, the rooms are really clean and comfortable (closet, mini-bar, eletronic safe, free and fast wired/wireless Internet and a huge desk surrounding all the room) and the bathroom is big enough. Not the mention the staff, which was absolutely friendly. I haven't tried the breakfast, so I cannot comment on it. In my opinion, the hotel deserves more than only 3 stars. I definitely recommend it. I can't remember anything that I did not like about it. The only thing that was not perfect for me was the location. It was a ten minute walking to nearest station (Amstelstation) to reach the central part of Amsterdam (Dam, Prisengracht, etc), which took me 25-30 min in total. As I have mentioned, not perfect for me, but not a problem either. Only for the ones who have location as primary requirement to take into consideration.

That the manager ellen corrected finally weds/thurs/friday no hot water in shower of 1 of 2 rooms I rented - but I would have rather (2) rooms to have both hot water! Yes a business paradise, but no room for the tourist who is there on business, unfortunaley. My (3) calls beforehand regarding the comstruction also landed us outside the 11th floor maids room! ;(( beware do not stay if you are not on the cmpany credit card!!

I like the most that its a new hotel. Its placed in a quiet zone, not far away from center, and you can return in the night even late, without any doubt that you will find any suspicious people around.Breakfast its a bit expensive for a 3 star hotel. If i will ever be back to Amsterdam, i will deffinetly choose Hotel Casa 400. The hotel its a bit expensive, according for a 3 star hotel and not beeing in the center. Breakfast a bit too much as a price. After i purchased the room from Booking.com , when i arrived at hotel, we payed an extra fee for the room, but i really dont remember what for(city tax or something). The food from the restaurant was good, but it took a bit too long to bring us the food, and the menu should have more types of food :)

The beds were very comfortable the ensuite facilities were very good and modern (large walk in shower, no bath) and the room was spacious. It was very clean and efficiently run. The staff were helpful and the breakfast was ok if expensive (15 euros) The position of the hotel was excellent for traveling around as it was a couple of minutes walk from Amstel station which has trams and buses the underground and mainline trains. You can get into the centre in minutes. The area is quiet, residential, and I as a woman I felt safe walking back to the hotel at night. Visually the rooms look rather spartan for the class of hotel with painted artex walls and dated economy fabrics for curtains. I remember having stripy curtains like that 35 years ago. There is currently a very large building site across from the hotel which can be noisy if you are on that side of the hotel during the week. If you want to have the night life on your doorstep this is not the place for you! There is a good restaurant/cafe on the way to the station but as far as I could see that was it, although I did not try the hotel rstaurant. I booked 2 rooms but they could not accomodate us on the same floor.

A very nice hotel, comfortable, beautifully designed and located at only 5 minutes walking from the Metro Amstel Station which takes you in 10 minutes to the city center. The food is gourmet and with reasonable prices. Its a great deal. I would stay in Hotel Casa 400 again. No doubt. The elevator worked a little bit wird sometimes. It did not stopped at the indicated floor. We were up and down for a coupüle of minutes. Something not bad too much. The Parking garage has an extra cost for guests, 16 euros for 24 hrs. You can choose also leave your car on the street from 9pm to 9am without paying anything.

The price was very high considering the quality offered, and on top of all, there was no breakfast included. Also, they insisted to pay for the room with one week in advance. This was very disagreeable, as if mistrust was the basis for this claim. Also, the first room offered was a room facing a noisy construction site, and I was obligated to ask them to change the location of the room.

The overall standard in the Hotel impressed me, it's a very modern and fresh place with polite and helpful staff. There was a slight draft in my room but was not a trouble at all and the great standard everywhere more then made up for it. The breakfast wasn't any spectacular, but it's rather nice.

It was clean, new and modern. Very confortable. Internet access everywhere. Conveniently located....a cpl of minutes walk to Amstel station where you could do the train, metro, tram and buses. Inconsistent. I had to pay $40 Euros for late checkout till only 4p.m. with female staff member saying that they needed room for other guest by that time. I did not mind paying but wanted to check out at 6pm. I told her that since I was paying why not 6pm. She could careless and the hotel was not even full. The next morning I spoke to another gentleman at the desk who obliged. Also, construction work next door...and they start early. Its noisy and you can hear it loud and clear. The earplugs did not help. And they continue to place guests on that side of the hotel when it is low season and there are plenty of rooms available. Not sure how long work will go on. No work on the weekend though. Breakfast...same thing different day?!! Also, one could not find water to buy for drinking. We were told that drinking from the tap was safe. Hotel did not sell neither did the cafe within the hotel.

Temperature in room at night was way too high and difficult to sleep comfortably without water to drink during the evening. Room adjustment did not seem to make too much difference, so not sure if centrally controlled.

Friendly staff - very close to train/metro/tram (Amstel Station), cleanliness, free WiFi First offered room was with indoor communicating doors with neighbour's room, which was not so good from privacy point of view. When checking-in, ask for this small detail.

It was a great deal for the price would definitly stay there again. The only thing that could have been better was the street name has the same name as another street. When entering the hotel into the Navigation system make sure you first use Amstel station and then look for the hotel from there. This step could save you valuable time and headache.
