Location is excellent, 10mins walk from Central Station and directly behind the royal palace. The room was quite compact but I think standard for a central city hotel.

We really appreciated the front desk people and the location. The staff are efficient and helpful not only on room questions but local attractions and restaurants and the best route to walking there. They had tickets to museums, saving us standing in lines. The rooms were very nice with amenities appreciated by travelers, like in room coffee, hairdryer, nice tub/shower combo, space for unpacking etc. We stayed there a second time on our travel to and from Amsterdam because we liked it so much. No concerns at all, we'd go back for sure.

Nice hotel close to city centre. We stayed for 5 days in there but Laundry ( bed linen) was changed in the 4 th day only. Think it should be done every second day instead.

The hotel was perfectly located for the centre of town. We had a quiet room which overlooked the central courtyard of the hotel. The decor in the rooms was old, the furniture scratched, marks on the walls and the tv often did not respond to the remote control. The bed had 2 huge dents where people slept - it was difficult to sleep on the matress without rolling down into the dents!

Location, bathroom was nice and clean. 1. Tiny room, space between the table and the bed: 20 cm! Only one night table, though we were two. 2. In the morning the track came to clean the trash cans outside...sound of crashed bottles at 8 am - horrible! 3. Somebody smoked grass, though it is non-smoking hotel. You can feel every smell coming from neigbours. 4. Windows not isolated enough - we could feel the wind. 5. Really bad door, you can hear every move i the corridor. I didnt feel safe. 6.No mini bar. Drings on the reception - Water - 3 euros!!!

Location. Excellent staff Worst bed I ever slept in. Matress worn to a spoon shape. Everything else ok but if you can't sleep comfortably it kinda ruins everything else.

I do not feel that the hotel is justified as a 4 star and in my opinion isn't worth the price.

I have stayed and dined many times at the hotel for previous business trips and have found it to have an excellent location for visiting Amsterdam and comfortable. After recommending to my family and friends who were with me that your food and dining experince was worth trying, I was let down very much by Monique who served our meal at the large table in the bar. We all ordred dutch pea soup (at my recommendation) however Monique displayed her disapproval and said she would not order the soup as it would spoil our main course as Monique advised the soup was not meant to be followed by a main course!!! I then decided to take her advice, so the 6 soup were taken off the order. My father and I ordered steak medium to well done, she then decided to order a rare steak as she said thats how it should be! Unbelievably, Monique then took my fork & knife, and cut my steak showing me how to cut it her way! She did the same to my fathers steak. By then, the blood from my med - well done steak was all over the plate. I handed it back and asked het o get it cooked again - it came back still with blood. She realised we were angry and said if we had dessert it would be free. I told her that I would be having dessert as I had not had anything to eat yet!! I can assure you now that I took all day yesterday looking at other option for hotels to stay during my regular trips to amsterdam as I was embarrassed by Monique and am amazed that you allow her to conduct herself this way in your restaurant. I should let you know, in my position as a hotel owner, and in the catering business myself - I do know how to order and cut steaks and perhaps you should remove the soup from your menu if it is not to be followed by a main course?!

Virtually nothing except location. This is not a four star. Three at best. Extremely small room. Amenities nonexistent. Wireless didn't work. Elevators very slow. Tv channels limited. Staff at best tolerant of guests. Would not recommend and will not return.
