The location is excellent and the breakfast is great.

The hair dryer is broken and no one fixed it,even we told the reception that.The bed is not very comfortable.

Closed to Central Station n city.

The stairs is not recommended to old people, no lift.

- We got a old and small room for two of us, with an equally old and small shared toilet & shower. For the price we paid, not really worth it; I think we stayed in an older part of the building - Walls of room were peeling and cracking, not really well-maintained - Not enough staff to run the hotel as they also run a bar downstairs (entrance of hotel through the pub)

Perfect location, centre of the city. Shops, restaurants and bars around. Friendly staff.

Noisy bar instead of reception on the 1st floor. No elevator, old interior, toilet and bathroom separated from the room, which is unacceptable for us. No wi-fi in the room, and a breakfast was very poor. Personnaly I wouldn't recomend this hotel to anyone.

So expensive. Not value of the price. The facilities are bad. No elevator.

Staff was Friendly and polite, not a problem with signing-in an access, food, drinks, was lovely nice place for a cheap get away

The hotel states that you will have a flat screen tv, shower & toilet however it is a communal shower and toilet (1 for every floor) which isn't the worst. However I feel I could of got a hostel a bit cheaper and had the same facilities

The bar is great, And attendents are friendly, try the Irish coffee... It is something else, really! Very good!!!

I think the room and bed where very comfortable. it was nice and warm. the staff where also very freindly. no doubt I may return to this hotel in the future when I return to amsterdam. danke-u-wel, en gellukig nieuwe jaar.

it would have been if there was tea/ coffee making facilities in the room.

The hotel was perfectly located and we had a beautiful room. Very comfortable stay the only fault I would have is the staff, we checked in with a lovely girl but when checking out there was an extremely rude mad who didn't even help us get out bags from the basement. Everything else was great!!

Stayed for 2 nights at the cornerhouse from 19/10/12. My wife and myself had a room and our friends had another. Both rooms were very clean and comfortable. They both had a wet room comprising of a shower, toilet and wash hand basin which were also very clean. Our room was on the top floor reached by 4 very steep staircases, but anyone that has stayed in Amsterdam before will know that this is the norm in most hotels in this area and wasn't a problem for us. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpfull. A special thanks to Casper the night barman who does a brilliant job and makes you feel very welcome. Will definately stay here again. Would recommend to anyone that wants a comfortable stay in a fantastic central location in Amsterdam.

Maybe a bit expensive at €294 for a double room for 2 nights.

The location was excellent and the cafe and pub out front were attractive and the staff serving there pleasant and helpful.

The hotel part was unattractive and delapidated. My room had plaster coming off the walls. A hole in the door, broken window sash and broken shelf on washbasin. There was an old tv which did not work, I asked for this to be fixed twice but no one came to do it. It looked very institutional and the list of donts made me feel like a criminal. There was nothing a lick of paint, some repairs, posters and a shower upgrade could not fix. The attitude of sraff to guests needs to change and be as pleasant as it is in the pub. I felt they did not care once I had paid for the room. As things stand I could not recommend it but if the rooms etc were given a makeover it would be great.
