The ship is almost perfectly renovated. Wonderfull to experience how it was 60 years ago, with the comfort of today. The breakfast was excellent. The tour on board gives you a good impression of the whole ship.

-The location was great and very special. -Beautiful view of the city. -Good to reach -Quit rooms -Quality of food
-It was sometimes confusing where we were allowed to go or not. Parts were blocked due to restricted groups and this was clearly indicated. -When arriving we had difficulties finding the reception. (Arrival was at 19:30) because there was not sign outside. -I was not aware that our stay was including breakfast. First day we therefore went into town for breakfast. Which was a pity because of the money but also because we missed the excellent quality on board as we experienced on the second day.

The beds were wonderfully comfortable! The facility is beautiful - fun and different, but has everything you want in a great hotel. Enjoyed walking around the cruise ship and the bar for a late evening drink looking out at the water really made it feel like you were on a cruise.
Long drive out on the pier made it impossible to walk to anything else. But convenient parking, so not a big issue.
Interesting and quirky rooms. Very well restored and clean and modern. Breakfast good (albeit very busy on weekends).
Noise from adjacent rooms easily heard. On the weekend there was also significant noise at the end of functions as well as staff packing away items. This was well after midnight. Wi-fi not available in room, only common areas. Public transport not convenient. There is a shuttle bus to the local metro station or taxi are your only options if you don't have your own car.
Location is good, rooms are spacious and comfortable.
I paid cash for my room £130.00 and a payment of £186.00 has been reserved out of my bank for authorisation and could take up to a mth to be returned - I have stayed at this hotel 3 times previous and always paid cash this has not happened previously :(
A great venue. Unique and a little different to the standard hotels. Very clean and everyone very friendly. Food in the Lido restaurant very tasty and reasonably priced.
Give different experience for our family, we stay at floating hotel. This is one of icon of Netherlands. Fast Wifi.

We had a great time aboard the ss Rotterdam. The quirkiness added so much to out trip. Great value for money also.
On one occasion we came back just as the restaurant had closed and asked for the cheese board but the staff would not serve us. We thought perhaps they could have bent the rules slightly!!
room noisy from gangway and water valves. club foom restaurant all reserved but all evening various free tables. advertised bar closed. hairs in bathroom. Parking expensive and not clear how to get the ticket for multiple entry from the ships office.

Reception & Bar staff inside and out very pleasant & helpful. Everyone speaks good English. When we notified the hotel after we got home that we had been overcharged for a breakfast that wasn't taken they promptly refunded the cost without quibbling. Full marks for service. Plenty of toiletries and wardrobe space.
The shuttle bus wasn't running because the driver was ill. Come on only one driver! It's a very long walk to get anywhere. Hotel and older staff still rely on its past reputation and make you feel like intruders. We paid extra for a deluxe room as it was our 40th wedding anniversary and all that could be said is that it was large, clean and expensive.There are restrictions on areas accessible even if they are not in use. In the room the air con was not up to the task, the wall coverings looked as though they'd been put up by an apprentice on their first day it was in need of a little tlc not up to the standard of the public areas. Only one teabag and one coffee sachet on arrival and the inside of the kettle was grim. The outside bar area could do with menus on the tables rather than have to ask for them. You also have to go into the restaurant to view a menu. Put them in the cabins. The information in Dutch was a large volume, in English 1 sheet a4! Even though you are a resident you have to pay for the tour (at a reduced rate we were told) information on this was not in English in the cabin. We didn't, so can't comment. For the price, overall, disappointing
The ship itself - beautiful to look at. Our room which was decked out in its 1950s glory. the toiletries in the bathroom.
Minor - there was a lightbulb out in the bathroom and the pull string from one of the bedside lamps wasn't working. I was somewhat embarrassed to be asked to leave some areas as I hadn't bought a tour ticket. Perhaps better signage would avoid this.
Good sized rooms, excellent staff, wonderful dinner in the Club Room and lots of interesting things to see.
The Ocean Bar was not open and at Breakfast there was no real butter, just some sort of insipid spread.
The hotel is different and nice experience. The room was clean and spacious but then we booked a superior room (i think that is what it was called) The tour was really good, a must do type thing and the staff from beginning to end were so lovely and helpful. Child friendly place.
The service on the Terrence was very slow and a bit chaotic. For a 4 star hotel, i expected the food to be better quality, no fresh OJ, juices were from a carton. Cooked breakfast was cold as there was no heating facility. No coffee on tables, you had to pour it yourself from the drinks counter. Just missed that 4 star extras. the beds were too soft but that maybe a personal thing, as i suffer from back problems, so i didn't sleep at all.
When first opened as a hotel the hotel was run separately from the ship museum, now this has been sorted out and it runs very well. The Club Room restaurant is first class.
