This family run hotel is situated on a quiet street, at walking distance from the Vondelpark, Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and the main shopping streets of Amsterdam.

Stay in quiet, comfortable rooms a few minutes walk from the Leidseplein, for a reasonable price, including breakfast and in a friendly atmosphere, and spend what you save on the multiple attractions of Amsterdam.

The helpful staff, the location (a few minutes walk from restaurants, bars, cafes, coffeeshops, supermarkets and other shopping opportunities), and a 20 minute walk to Dam Square via the main canals, all contribute to offer you value for money.

All of the rooms have been simply, but comfortably, furnished and the high ceilings give them a spacious feeling.

Area information

Hotel Crystal is located on a quiet street on a typical Amsterdam neighbourhood full of local shops, on the edge of the main canal ring area.

The Leidseplein is a few minutes walk away and is one of the main entertainment areas in the city, popular with tourists and locals alike. It is also a transport hub where several tram lines take you to all the main parts of the city.

From the Leidseplein one of the most popular shopping streets goes directly into the heart of the centre with the Flower Market, the Rembrandt square and Dam Square.

From there the Red Light District is just a few steps away, and, in the opposite direction the Jordaan expands with a multitude of small cobblestone streets and picturesque smaller canals.

Room was small and dirty, bed was uncomfortable, curtain was falling down, no water from the hot water tap. Breakfast was dried up and of poor quality.

That the hotel was located in a quiet surrounding even if it was not far from the center of Amsterdam

It was poor service in the hotel, the room was not clean when we got it 2 hours later than expected check in time. We got a room on the top floor (4 th floor) and the stairs was very steep and narrow and had no elevator so it was very difficult to get both up and down from the room. The thing that I disliked most was the lack of a fireescape latter or an alternative way out in case of fire.

Hotel is not so bad for the group of friends. Staff is friendly, rooms are clean. For that price it is a good hotel situated near the museum square and not so far from the center. We also recommend you to rent a bike.

there's a supermarket nearby for cheap drinking water, beers etc which otherwise cost euro 2 per 500ml bottle of mineral water. near tram station.

Location was great. Get over the stairs This is Amsterdam. Try 2 small cases instead of one large for easier mobility.
