Location Helpful staff at front desk.

Steps for carrying the luggage. No public area for conversation. Looked used. Needed 2 chairs on the porch. Breakfast was too expensive.

Wonderful location, very nice hotel, excellent restaurant with an amazing view on the windmills of Zaanse Schans.

Friendly and professional staff (even remembered or preferences in food); cosy and relaxing environment inside of the hotel as well as beautiful scenery of surrounding area (one of them are famous Dutch wind mills); great food; station stop is 5 minutes away and Amsterdam is only 15 minutes away by train

The location is good to visit the windmill in Zaandijk .

The staff is not happy when I ask boil water for my tea bag,he even emphasized they selling the tea in the bar .It makes me feel if I order a cup of tea instead of only having free boil water only will make him more happy............

Nice location by the river with good views of typical Dutch windmills. Helpful and friendly staff. Good restaurant.

As our room was overlooking the garden area it could be a little noisey at night untill the bar closed.

- this is not a 4 star hotel - it should have only 3 stars - not all the rooms are facing the canal - my room was facing the street

Convenient location. Delicious dishes on nice restaurant. We were satisfied with this hotel. We will go this hotel again. :) Two thumbs up!

The window which can be opened is too small. Once opened, mosquits crowd throught it at night.

It's a lovely place with very nice view. And the room is clean and everything is in order. I will come back.

Hotel was very conveniently located near Zaanse Schans...walking distance. Location on waterfront was very relaxing and scenic.

Only drawback was steep stairs/lack of lift for wheelchairs...it was very difficult getting my father up to his room.

Location was great on the water across from the windmills. We sat outside for lunch and later on for drinks, it was warm but very windy so we went in for dinner, the food was excellent the staff very friendly. Short walk to train station

The location was excellent with beautiful river view. Room was nice and clean.

The description and the pictures of the room were truly misleading. It says "Modern rooms with flat-screen TV and a private balcony". But the truth is there is only one room in the entire hotel which has a private balcony, and it was taken. When we talked to the hotel staff about such misleading, they said it was our problem because we did not ask for a room with private balcony. How could we know that we need to ask for something which was included in the room description and pictures not labelled as "optional"? The fact made us more angry was that instead of apologise, the staff said "so do you wanna stay or go?" after we showed our disappointment. This sounded like a kind of threaten to us considering it was the high season in Netherlands. We had never been treated like this before in any other hotel.

The meal in the restaurant was good, and the restaurant staff friendly and helpful. the place is temproarily almost cut off by roadworks, making it very hard to get to.

From the web site -- "room over looking water park" -- no, we overlooked a road junction and noisy bar. "car parking on site" - no it is a public car park 100 mtrs away "wifi internet in rooms" huge problems with connection in the evening - only place to connect was in the room corner closest to the reception (which was not where the desk was). Surprisingly in the morning it was fine.

Good location 2 minutes walk from Zaanse schans (it is possible to park ner the hotel for free and walk there)

Rooms are not clean, very noisy and crew are not friendly. Bbe aware that after 9 o'clock pm it is not possible to find food. We came at 10 minutes to 9 and they wouldn't serve us and couldn't find food anywhere

This hotel was basic. Nothing really special except for the location, it is directly across the river from Zaanse Chans. Restaurant was very expensive. It is with in walking distance of the metro (5-6 minutes) but bring coin because the machine doesn't accept bills or credit cards. About a 20-25 minute ride to Amsterdam main train station. Beautiful country side location.

The bathroom shower curtains smelled of mildew but the bathrooms were clean.

It has a great view, great restaurant, great location.

The breakfast it's good, but a little over priced for what it's offered. What was served was great, but It didn't have many choices. The rooms have doors between then. It should not be a problem if you don't have loud chatty neighbors like we did.
