Very friendly and positively communicative owners with a lot of attention for details of their house which are always there for any kind of assistance or information. Nice old townhouse in a quiet quarter with not more than 20 min to walk to the town centre (and additional 10 min to the historic museum quarter). Well-renovated rooms with enough space and several pieces of art as a tasteful decoration. Ok, the bathrooms are functional, but old-fashioned and still on the to-do- list. But how many time do you spend in the bathroom? As you have to expect in a dutch house of this age, the stairways are quite steep, but you don't have to care for your luggage yourself.

Very welcoming. Healthy breakfast . Marc made us feel very welcome, great advice. Very considerate to all guests Inc. Meeting a couple of giggly late returnees and making sure they got to their rooms quietly. Impressed by his people skills

The proprietor was exactly what you want in a host: informative, polite and helpful. I recommend hoteliers visit here to take a look at what the Hotel de Admiraal is doing right! Pleasant quiet location is a bonus too.

Great friendly service. Travelling with a small child we had a lot of luggage but it was no trouble for the owners to take it up the steep flight of stairs to our room. Room had excellent facilities, very spacious with plenty of room for a travelcot, complimentary coffee/tea making facilities, mini-bar with drinks at a very reasonable price. Breakfast was excellent with great choice. The hotel is a little outside the historic centre but the owners were very helpful in guiding us to the bus round the corner for the short journey into town. Definitely helps to print out directions in advance if you are driving to the hotel to help navigate the one way system.

Adorable surroundings. Large balcony, river and garden in the back For couples - the rooms have two single beds pushed together - however they slide easily across the floor. Be ready to sleep separately

We stayed here for one night, September 23rd. The hotel is on a quiet residential street, and you'd never know it was there unless you were looking for it. The owner was nice, efficient, and helpful, and kept to himself unless you needed something. The hotel room was small, but comfortable. It IS quite a walk to town center, but the walk was pretty and not difficult or unpleasant.. The stairs up to the rooms are scary steep, but the owner was very nice about carrying our bags for us. The bathroom could really use some updating, and it is very small, but I don't fault the owner for this. Everywhere we stayed (including this hotel) they push two twin beds together to make one larger bed. It makes for a very uncomfortable nights sleep.

The room was comfortable. We had our own private balcony over looking the gardens. It was quite and beautiful. The staff was wonderful and helpfull. There was parking available out front of the hotel, but you had to pay for it. So we moved our car about three short blocks away for free parking.

Very comfortable bed, nicely appointed room with green design features, balcony with beautiful view over the garden, attentive and friendly host. The Witte Vrouwen neighborhood is beautiful, short easy walk to bus stops and the shops of Biltstraat. I am very happy to have found such a lovely small hotel and will definitely return soon. niks

Very welcoming hosts, lovely room and good quality, tasteful renovations, plus interesting artwork. Also tea and excellent coffee maker in the room plus free Wifi - everything I could have wanted! You also get a v nice dressing gown. It's a quiet, green area about 20 minutes walk from the centre and 5 mins from the bus stop. The budget room was excellent quality - a shared loo and shower-room but only with one other and it was fine.

Wonderful atmosphere and excellent breakfast in aesthetic surroundings at this hotel. The staff were always present and helpful and made me feel like home. Owners truly care about sustainability and ecology, and have put though into every choice, be it bamboo floors or ecological jams and local bread. Loved it!
