Location Wifi Friendly stuff
Loved location and quiet place to use as base, if you are looking for traditional accommodation then this is good.
Stairs !!! The house is original in many ways and the stairs are not negotiable to anyone with mobility issues young or old. I just felt it needs a freshen up, especially the bathrooms
Close to all amenities, excellent views and everything you needed for a fabulous break.
Had to use sink in our kitchen as no sink in bathroom to wash hands.
- Location of the hotel (near the central station and main sightseeing's, near the canal) - historical building - atmosphere - staff friendly and do not disturb - comfort, cosy and big room - wifi
I stayed in the suite, which I found to be very dated in a good way, but I enjoyed this. The whole stay I felt really welcomed by the staff, and also the view from my bedroom was awesome.
Having to go outside the room for the bathroom, and the size of the bathroom. The tv had no service, in my room.
Good location and wifi .
Very hard to find no sign or anything so you cant tell its BnB. Manager wont let you consume food in your room. His communal area is acutlly his living room as he lives there. Me and my friend felt very uncomfortable walking past the manager and his freinds eating takeaways and watching football outside our room. We got shouted at for leaving our bedroom light on. It is advertised as a BnB when actuaĺly we paid jus to be a lodger in an upstairs bedroom. Would not reccommend or stay again.
This B&B is amazing. It's a short walk from Centraal Station, very convenient. Located on a quiet street by a beautiful canal, very close to Nieuwmarkt and easily walkable to Dam Square, De Negen Straatjes (the 9 Streets) etc. The host is lovely. The whole place is done up so nicely and is just full of gorgeous things - instruments, artwork, beautiful furniture... The shared spaces (kitchen, living area, raised mezzanine level dining area) are so lovely. There are big windows everywhere overlooking the canal, the front street, a quiet courtyard behind. And the room we rented was ridiculously great: huge, clean comfortable beds, private toilet and very nice bathroom, and an entire utterly lovely sitting room with huge windows overlooking the canal, lovely furniture again and even a chandelier! It is also, somehow, cheaper than staying in a really basic hotel elsewhere (which we did another night as this was booked out). This place is AMAZING!! If I stay at a hotel in Amsterdam again this will absolutely be my first choice.
-room -home atmosphere -position -the view from the windows
-some spots as doors and toilet room need paint and maintenance, toilet bawl is rocking
Absolutely beautiful historic building on canal, friendly owner. Good wifi.
A bit of a hassle not having left luggage, but not a huge deal as large lockers available at nearby Central Station. Mosquito problem (but guessing due to unusual heat wave).
Due to that fact that I was late for my flight I arrived to the hotel in the early morning instead of previous everning as i should, and I wrote a letter about to to the staff in the evening, but when I arrived the hotel was closed and all contact phones were turned off. So I just didn't stay in the hotel(I booked only one night) but the hotel charged me the total sum for my stay.
Owner and his sister were very nice and helpful. Room was really old and cosy, athmosphere was really uniq. Good situation near the railway station and city centre. Very good breakfast!
Room was a bit dirty and dusty. Stairs to room were rather hard...
Very good location. it is very interesting to live in real house. We rented suit. It was very cosy with exalante view and comfortable bed.
Wifi works properly only in commons areas
The staff was very friendly and helpful the view on the canal amazing the interior more than charming breakfast tasteful loved the extra use of the living room
shower was a bit dated but worked well stairs very steep, part of the charm of Amsterdam, fine for me but for elderly not the be advised
On our arrival we were very lucky that we had found owner at home, because that was the first and last time that we talked to him.the room was very dirty, the toalet is outside the room, everything is in very bad shape, especialy the bathroom! The stairs are very steep so you must be very carefuly when you get down... Never again!!
Very good breakfast, nice interieur.
The bathroom could really need some renovation. The bicycles offered were a desaster (and 5 Euro/day), better throw them on the waste immediately.Rented one somewhere else to be safe with working brakes etc.
