This hotel is terrible. It is not even worth the word "hotel". Only the location is pretty good. The hotel is extremly dirty. The rooms have never been cleaned during our stays. The bathroom stinks. Curtains and carpet are very old and dirty. Staff is very unfriendly and not helpful at all. They took money from my credit card without asking (even if I wanted to pay cash) so we could not change hotel. |

very good location, breakfast ok, nice view. It`s more a hostel than a 2 star hotel. There`s no lift and the stairs are too narrow -and dangerous if you have luggage!!! It needs renovation (painting, carpets). |

It was inexpensive The rooms were horrible. They looked dirty, smelled like mold and the walls had mold on them. Breakfast did not look good so we did not stay for breakfast. |

I found this when searching here for the cheapest hotel (just 35 Euro for a single, but I got a double, room 18). For this price it is quite OK, but stairs are very steep (33, 48, 65 or 81 steps) , basic room, new furniture, new curtains, small TV, but could plug in my headphone for perfect sound .Lots of channels. Very small bathroom, keycard, safety boxes down at the reception. Bed low and a bit too hard, stains on the carpet, noise from outside. Window was difficult to open, knob does not work but one can do it by hand,. |

Cheap and central. It's hard to argue with the price: I got a room for about 50 euro. That's really good for Amsterdam where hotels are usually quite expensive. Location was great too: on a pleasant canal just around the corner from the Leidseplein. It is dirty and the rooms are tiny. That's OK if you are on your own or you don't mind roughing it a little bit. But it means this hotel is not suitable for romantic holidays, etc. Stay here only because you want to save money. The place is just about acceptable. |

visited/toured amsterdam I found it over priced and the "breakfast" was litterally some bread, with jam or cheese - I expected a slightly better selection. The room was tiny, and the bathroom was too small to use comfortably. Also, the room itself was in disrepair, and the t.v could not be viewed properly as the signal was so weak. |

A hostel more than a hotel. The room had water damage on the walls and the ceiling, broken mirror, broken shower head and clogged shower drain. And very noisy guests. At around 120 euros a night it was way too much money for a hostel room. |

The people that works there are very nice and helpfull, and also has a great location, just 2 blocks from Leidseplain where is a lot bars. They gave us a room in the 4th floor with no lift and very narrow stairs. Also we stayed 3 nights, and 2 of the night the maid didn´t do our room, neither change the towels or the blankets. |

I and Maureen were happy with the hotel. Although inside the hotel is old, it was clean and the beds were good. The guys working there are good fun, helpful and friendly. Good location and near to everything. I would stay (and Maureen too :-) there again next time we will go to Amsterdam. All was fine for the price. Just that the bathrooms are very plain and small and the steps steep but it is like that because livingspace is precious in Amsterdam. Overall no complaints. |
