Hotel was clean. Large carpark. Good continental breakfast. No tea & coffee facilities in room - extrememly poor. Balconies were scruffy and unfinished. Bedroom door lock was inadequate. Restaurant too expensive. Drinks short measured (even for the continent). The greenhouse atrium was like a junk yard with an old bus, phone box, and half built stage. Very scruffy and untidy.

The staff were kind and generous with their manner. There was no 'lift' to take us to the top floor. We are seventy years old and a less able to climb. The desk clerk accomadated us by taking our baggage to our room.

Close to Sea, dunes, walking tours (Napoleon and ANWB route) Family living close by Noisy (especially people on the bowling lane before 8 o,clock was well heard in the room and unexpected) At the reception it took a while before the booking was found (did not look professional) but being on holidays not an issue. I would not have liked it after a hard days work though

The staff was excellent. They were accommodating all round - at every turn - from the porters to the concierge to the restaurant staff and reception and room service staff. At breakfast a very kind staff member was immediately attentive to the fact that I was on crutches and carried my breakfast from the buffet to the table. I was made to feel welcome and cared for. The restaurant dinner menu was first class. When booking I asked for my room to be close to the elevator and not at the end of a corridor as I am on crutches. It was aIl teh way at the end of the corridor! stayed for 3 nights. I chose not to have my room cleaned on the first day as I wanted to stay in bed (due to recovering from long travel after an operation) - however I did ask for it to be cleaned the next day. When I returned from a long work day I was actually shocked as I thought my room had not been cleaned. I only knew someone had been in there because there were new tissues in the bathroom - and a few new shampoos etc but the sink had not been cleaned and everything was exceptionally untidy. A very dirty towel, that had been used for cleaning the toilet I assume, was lying on top of the toilet. The bins were emptied but bed had been made hurriedly. It was not at all neat and the room was as untidy as I left it with newspapers etc scattered about. I am on crutches and I would have expected that a modicum of tidying would have been performed by staff as is very usual. It looked like someone did 5 -10 mins cleaning and left in a hurry. My only other comment is that I would have liked a stocked mini bar in the bedroom but the cupboard was entirely bare.

Great value for money in terms of willingness to accomodate, help and general service. Rooms are basic but clean, close to town. Rooms are small and sparse.

Nice/friendly staff, decent breakfast. The hotel was quite old (bath- and bedroom both). There was too much furniture in the room, so little space. The entrance to the room was a bit strange; the door did not close very well and there was no lock (although you cannot open the door from outside without key). The way electricity was distributed across the room did not seem very safe.

The hotel staff were so nice and we were offered refreshment drinks immediately upon arrival. The hotel decor is fun and there's even a bowling alley. The beds are very comfortable and the general atmosphere is very friendly and we had a good, quiet night's sleep. Breakfast is included and it was very good. Great place to be if you want to cross over to the island of Texel.

we stayed at the hotel while cycling in Holland. The staff were polite and helpful. The room was clean and although we arrived late, we were able to get food from the bar. Breakfast in the morning was typical continental fayre and there was plenty of it. All in all, the room was what we would expect for what we paid but by the time breakfast was included it became good value!! The hotel also seems to very popular as a venue within the local community for entertainment. it is worth checking their web site to see what they had on as they have an event area which has the sleeping accomodation around it. This may not suit if you are wanting an early night. All in all, a good hotel worth its money.

We liked the staff's attitude. Also the food, breakfast and dinner were good. We loved the design of the interior. We would like to use an elevator next time. When you as an elderly person have to climb the staircase with suitcases, you feel uncomfortable.

The main thing for us was the location. A welcome drink was offered (any)at arrival. The rooms are on the small side but sufficient and the breakfast bar is good. The hotel is in need of a facelift.
