Food & beverage

Start your day with a tasty breakfast, served in our charming ground-floor Grand Café. A varied, international breakfast buffet will be served as of 07:30.
The Grand Café also lends itself perfectly as a place to enjoy a cup of coffee, drop by and read the newspaper or flip through a magazine.

Room information

The hotel rooms come in three variations. Their basic furnishing consists of two single beds and a spacious bathroom with shower and toilet. The rooms are furnished business-like with colour television, desk, telefone and alarmclock. An internet connection is available in the room. Your further possible wishes for in-room facilities can be met upon request.

The Luxury room includes a bathtub and extra space, making your stay even more comfortable.

The Suites, ofcourse also include a bathtub, and are so spacious that they are especially pleasant for a long stay in the Hampshire Hotel - Groningen. Furthermore, they can be combined with a Standard room.

All rooms are non smoking.

City Groningen

Groningen is the cultural capital of the north with its 'Groninger Museum', cultural centre 'De Oosterpoort' and the theatre 'Stadsschouwburg Groningen'. The charming towncentre offers interesting sites such as the 'd'Olle Grieze' (the Martini tower) and the 'Goudkantoor'. Modern architecture mixes with historical buildings. There are many cafes, lunch-cafes and restaurants.

The province Groningen

In de area around the city Groningen you can for example pay a visit to the Groninger Borgen. The province houses 16 'borgen' (a small castle) such as the 'Menkemaborg' in Uithuizen and the 'Fraeylemaborg' in Slochteren.

Free tea and coffee 24 hours a day. Internet facilities. Lovely lounge with newspapers,books and a chess set. Folders about activities in and around Groningen. We also received a map of Groningen at our arrival! Great location.

Clean, bright, welcoming. 5th flooor room with large window and view over rooftops of Groningen. Easy instructions on getting there on foot from the traiun station.

I did not like the atmosphere of the hotel. The room was very warm, there was no airconditioning and the windows hardly opened. The curtains were too short, so in the morning the room was much too bright to allow a good bedrest. Overall the building the hotel is situated in looks daunting. I was discomforted during my stay and would not go back to this hotel again.

Dat het heerlijk rustig was en goed te lopen naar de markt en omgeving!!

Het onbijt was prima,maar we waren om + negen uur en er was eigenlijk niet goed bijgevuld, maar erg vriendelijk personeel.We hadden er ook natuurlijk om kunnen vragen. De koffie en de thee waren prima
