We were looking for relaxation and quiet at the end of a two-week multi- city trip. Oolderhofjes was perfect. We appreciated the easy access by auto, the outstanding breakfast, and the friendly staff. Our room, a suite with garden view, was very comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant one night, and were very pleased with the quality of our meals. As an added benefit, there was a concert in the Ooleander (an on- site concert venue) while we were there. We enjoyed both the concert and the venue.

A number of reviews have commented that there is a distance between the hotel room building and the restaurant. It was only a minor inconvenience for us.

It will not be enough space to discribe what we liked.:) I just can say, that you hardly will get such expirience for that many anywhere else in Holland. Everething was just top of the top, including food, room, personnel approach, atmosphere etc. Just outstandanding. They get michelin prize every year since 2007 and it is truly deserved. Better go there and see everything with your own eyes. Definitely try holland wine in restaurant, I was surprised, that it could be so nice. Honestly saying I thought that holland wine do not exist at all.:) This place is full of surprises. Worth to be seen.

Even If must specially think something out, I would not find any. It happens very rare with me.

The junior suite is large enough for an extra bed. It includes a seating area and even a microwave and fridge. The hotel offers free parking and it is close to Roermond. Breakfast was very nice breakfast but what excited us most was the super-friendly staff!

I don't like the fact that the rooms are separated from the main building. The food in the restaurant was not so good (ok, I took some fish, bad mistake when you are use to french cook...)

Brilliant hotel, beautiful surroundings for walking, cycling, boating, etc. The restaurant charming, staff very kind and friendly. Food and wine superb.

The hotel is nice located and looks nice. Garden suite are big and has nice beds, bathroom and living room. It has a flat screen television. Breakfast was very good and fresh.

The reception and breakfast are in another building then the hotelroom. They are about 250 m apart. And no 24 hour reception service.

We have travelled across most of Europe, staying at B&Bs and hotels - and this is certainly the best of the lot (including the 'best b&b in Holland'). The service from all staff members was outstanding, including a room cleaner who insisted on helping us with the luggage trolley. We were able to make use of a washing machine and dryer - courtesy of the very friendly and efficient receptionist. The restaurant is excellent, both for evening meals and breakfasts. We stayed in a garden suite, and this was a huge room, with separate lounging and bedroom areas. There was a small kitchenette with microwave oven, refrigerator, coffee maker and kettle; also a large table and chairs, settee etc. etc. - not to mention the balcony. The bathroom was also huge and well equipped. The overall living space was probably three or four times that of the smallest room we have occupied in our travels. In addition to all of this, the guests have use of a very large common room, with a fully-equipped kitchen. There is a large lift, useful for taking luggage to and from the upper floor. The hotel itself is located in a quiet, picturesque, rural area, with an adjacent expanse of water that is used for water sports. This is Holland, so there are no mountains!

We found very little room for any complaints. Other reviewers have mentioned that the accommodation and restaurant facilities are in separate buildings, which would be inconvenient in adverse weather. However, there is a greater distance between the carpark and hotel at the Hilton Doubletree in Luxembourg.

Every thing is perfect its one of the best hotels I ever been , I like it so much and I stay on it in my next trip

Excellent Room (Good Size and Amenities), Great Bar, Superb Restaruant, Friendly & Helpful staff, quiet country side next to a lake, very relaxing indeed.

None. (But not really accessible if you are not traveling by car)

Very friendly and helpful staff, was even allowed to park my moped inside together with bicycles. Very large rooms, very clean and luxurious. The bathroom was so big, you needed dogs to find your way out again (Garden Suite 133). Good restaurant and bar with decent prices, very good buffet breakfast. And very very quiet at night :-)

I knew this in advance and it can not be helped but : the hotel part is a different building from the reception/lounge bar/restaurant part, about 200 metres apart I think. So having to go to your breakfast through the cold and rain early in the morning was not an enjoyable experience :-) Very good for waking up though ! And use a gps to find your way there, it isn't so easy to find.

The garden suite was excellent. A real pleasant change from the usual boring box rooms. A large user friendly en-suite. Despite comments below we enjoyed our short stay

The distance between the main hotel and the rooms due to these being on separate sites. Then the long walk to the suite. This may not appear too bad to healthy fit folk but those with disability may find it difficult. The fact that I could not empty the bath and there being no maintenance on site meant a full bath overnight rendering the bath unusable in the morning. However the shower coped admirably.

Zeer aangenaam vertoeven in dit fraai gelegen hotel. Kamer prima in orde en goed schoon, gastvrij personeel die betrokken vragen hoe het bevalt en wat je gaat doen van het weekend, restaurant van een hoog niveau zonder poespas en een leuke uitvalsbasis voor het bezichtigen van Roermond

Douche was niet constant van temperatuur.

nur 1 1/2 Autostunden vom Ruhrgebiet entfernt kann man hier Ruhe und Erholung tanken,dank des aufmerksamen und freundlichen Personals.Die Suiten sind sehr komfortabel und die Hoeskamer ist toll für Familientreffen.

Der Kühlschrank strahlte viel Wärme ab.
