The location (5 min to Dam square), the other clients were quiet, WC and shower in all roooms. Beds were comfortable. There is nothing except of a small curtain to contain water, so the floor of the toilet was wet all the time. And sometimes, the water in the shower smells weird. Not all the staff was kind (i.e. the guy who check us in) but the rest of the staff were nice. I book this hotel at the last minute, so I got a rebate (Euro 160 instead of 240). I would not have paid 240 euros for this. |

I got a Deluxe Single because you get a balcony with a view of a canal. Great central location and very close to a tram stop. Price includes all fees and taxes plus continental breakfast. Very nice bathroom. Four flights of steps to my room. |

It is at the heart of downtown Amsterdam, within a walking distance of most of the city's attractions. The stair is very narrow and high--but this is prevalent in most old hotels in the continent. |

The best two things are hotel staff and little balcony with street view. Quite good location - close different public transport routes, the city centre and shopping street. |

The hotel's location, trams outside and easy to get to the train station. Lots of good shops. Good museums. The steep stairs. |

It was well placed for all the tourist things and out of the way of the mayhem of the red light and the mad weekenders. the stairs are very steep, but the hotel does warn you that it has no lift. |

the locality is very good, with easy access to all points of interest and public transport. those stairs!!!! On the other hand I suppose the stairs would make it imperitive to stay out and explore the city for the day to avoid a second trip up/down! |

Closeness to city centre Asked for twin room. Got double. Room very small - more like a back packers hostel. |

The situation. Room was adequate for my needs. Nice balcony, with view. Breakfast sufficient--brown bread, eggs, juice, cereals coffee, etc. I found nothing to complain about. Lovely to have the friendly cat sleep with me one night!!! |

Cheap and clean, very near to Dam square. In general good value for the money. Small room, typical steep Dutch stairs, quite unconvenient to climb with luggage. |

Central locattion. Whole hotel felt a bit run down and shabby; grim lighting in rooms and uncomfortable bed. |

I had a nice balcony/porch The stair access, as noted 39 steps to reception and 34 more to my floor; all steep, and unsafe (as an architect I am CONCERNED)my single bed was in reality a youth bed usa standards, quite small and narrow; but the the room was only about six feet wide!!!!! |

Location, location, location! For the money, it was ideal. Although many have complained about the stairs, I think these are only a problem for the old of infirm. They are amazingly steep, but are certainly no reason to ignore the hotel. The rooms are clean and functional, and the showers are fantastic - this is all you need in Amsterdam. |

This small-scale hotel offers elegant, practical accommodation right in the city centre, near the lively shopping and entertainment areas. |
This charming hotel is perfectly situated: in the middle of the city centre, opposite the bustling Leidseplein. |
Tulip Inn Dam Square is the best choice you can make in downtown Amsterdam! This pleasant and quiet non-smoking hotel is a home away from home for every guest. |
Hotel Falcon Plaza is ideally situated in the very heart of Amsterdam, on walking distances of the famous Rembrandt Square, the Opera and City Hall, the Dam, the Munt, the Waterlooplein, shopping area... |
