Large room with a fabulously comfortable super kingsize bed. Great bathroom (more modern than the bedroom). Hotel is in a great location - Sluis is a lovely town - so many cafes and restaurants where you can "watch the world go by". Breakfast was excellent - large choice and attentive staff. Free parking

Nice hotel - just the room décor was a little dull. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room would have been nice

The breakfast (included in the room rate) was of excellent quality and quantity. The large parking area, free of charge. The large and spacious room (no mini bar though ...).

The reception by the young lady on checking in was cold and very impersonal. On checking out however the lady in charge was very helpful and friendly.

Only a five minute walk from the town center. Comfortable room and quite a luxurious bathroom. Good views over open countryside. Good breakfast.

A four star hotel, but no tea/ coffee making facilities.

we like the location quiet but still near to the shops

a pity that in room there is no hanger for the coat (must hang it in the cupboard) there is a hanger in the bathroom but not in the room itself

Location;Quiet; Great building/premises.

Staff: no welcome, no room avaiable, we had to wait for almost 1.5 hours before we could check in; rooms were very cold. Strange, you know how many guest are coming, thus everything can be ready in time and with a "warm"welcome. No hospitality; no service in breakfastroom; No personal tough.

Room verry warm, even with Windows open. Piloten uncomfortable.

Location. Liked the breakfast except coffee and the setting. The price.We have been going for years to this hotel and they have not changed it at all,its getting old fashoined.

The location of the bar is wrong if on entry level would have had a drink. do not like the breakfast room,very dark and old fashioned.boy ,could i re design that! Every time we go the heating is so hot its unbearable,so did not sleep well,neither did our family,we tell them every time we go! If there was another hotel near we would change because of the over heating.

Menu in restaurant would have benefitted from an english translation but staff very helpful so no issue.

The room was very spacious and beautifully appointed. A very quiet and peaceful location.

There was no complimentary tea or coffeee facilities in the room and I was charged for one cup of coffee.

Our booking was problem free. We were expected and made very welcome, our rooms were well appointed and very clean and excellent first impression.

Would have preferred to have had all four rooms on one floor.

It is a beautiful building, very nice restaurant, and very freindly staff who seemed to speak just about every language. Very nice bathroom.

We thought that for a four star hotel the rooms, while being very comfortable, were very small. The restaurant was very nice, our food was cooked just right,but we were disappointed that there was so little choice on the Dinner menu. The choice of only chicken or salmon was hardly gourmet. The two Gin and tonics which we had before our meal cost more than we generally pay for a whole bottle of Gin!

Good location with only 5 minute walk into Sluis. Large bedroom and bathroom. Good breakfast with plenty to choose from.

Unfriendly reception when checking in. Could not book a table when checking in so had to go to restaurant to book, then disappointing 2 star food at 4 star prices.

Spacious Deluxe Room with large bathroom and balcony; Excellent breakfast included in the price.

Unfriendly and unaccommodating evening reception staff didn't bother to show us the correct way to our room; Spa "closed for renovation" without any explanation or compensation.

The hotel is beautifull and the rooms are quite big.

The hotel is nice but it lacking a few small things, there are soap dispensers in the bathroom instead of small bottles, there are odd looking small dustbins on the breakfast tables and the room was very dusty. Also the hotel has a casino which attract dodgy types. The hotel really has potential but it needs to grow a bit.

Buffet Breakfast available until 10:30 in a large room, good choice of food and drink (decor in the breakfast room and bedrooms a bit dark for my taste) - nice relaxed atmosphere. Nice terrace at front of hotel, attractive looking building.

Despite booking an evening meal immediately after booking the room (I didn't see the option to book the meal at the same time as booking the room) I was charged €30.50 instead of the advertised €27.50 - when I queried this I was told that because I didn't book the meal at the same time as the room ( the difference was a matter of minutes) I had to pay the higher price - which I am not happy about. Also, despite asking for a dining table by the window - when we went to the restaurant I was told it was hotel policy not to allow diners to reserve the window tables (I even went in a couple hours before the meal to to check we could have a table by the window, but was told it was mot possible to reserve and it was first come, first served!!) English menu would have been useful (although the staff were helpful and translated for us).

Reasonable hotel, nothing to complain about but just lacking in atmosphere.

Excellent Location for countryside and shopping. Food very good, rooms clean and comfortable. Excellent parking facilities.
