Nice breakfast, very nice modern rooms, friendly staff :-)
noisy guests who slam doors in the middle of the night, not the hotels fault obviously
Generally all OK. Helpful and friendly staff
Insufficient lighting in room (too dark) although shower/toilet was bright. Quite noisy group leaving before 7am
Too many stairs. Rooms were miles apart from each other. Two level room with very small staircase.
The staff. The location. Clean rooms. The price (for a Nederlands hotel)
Rooms were a little tired, and on the small side (which considering the average size of some one from the Nederlands was a surprise!
They had souvenirs for sale in a display case in their lobby. The front lobby staff were very helpful.
Our room was super tiny and we had 2 "single" beds that were not put together even though they knew we were coming in as a married couple...
staff were friendly rooms clean and very spacious close to town centre good choice at breakfast
Good location, during the tulip season for sure, walking distance to Kokenhof and flower fields. Not in tulip season also a good location with easy access to airport, beach, Amsterdam. Free parking and nice food. Absolutely worth the price.
None. All good.
Excellent location to catch a morning flight from Schiphol - it is less than 30 min drive
We were staying in Junior Suite on the second floor without elevator. The Wi-Fi on our floor was weak and unstable.
Nice location, own restaurant, good food, good breakfast. Very nice staff. Can tell it has a new owner.
Hard to find parking, rooms small, little ally way with not very clean. Have big containers in it for trash, scooters, bicles.
Very good location in nice city. All you need is near hotel shops cafes bus stop( to citys Leiden Haarlem airport Nordwijk) park of tulips, Rooms are very nice and comfortable. We come earlier that check in time but we check in when we come. Very warm in room.
Breakfast is so poor. A lot os steps and it is dificult to go upstairs. In room not so clean espesially kitchen!
The hotel is located close to the main commercial street of the city, within walking distance of a few very nice restaurants. Staff is smiling and helpfull, and yo can buy the missing things (brush, deo, etc) at very fair prices.
Nothing important: I just did not like the jam served for breakfasts.
For South Africans it is very expencive
the staff were most helpful in everyway; the location for going to the Keukenhof Gardens was excellent; hotel restaurant made efforts to accommodate substitute food and drink to for the items that I had allergies.
the furnishings were in need of replacement --for example, the lounge area on the reception floor were very dated and worn out.
Location was perfect for visiting Kuekenhof Gardens and Lisse.
Would not stay here again. Made the reservation 11 months prior, confirmed a room for 3 people the day before, yet when we arrived were given a basement room that was dirty and the basement smelled of mold due to a recent water leak. While the manager apologized for the room change and gave us one night free, we spent as little time as possible at the hotel.
I like your friendly, helpful and hard working staff as well as the decoration of your sitting an dining rooms.
I don't like the split level senior suite which has toilet and bathroom on the upper level. It is difficult to climb up the rather steep stairs in the middle of the night to use the toilet especially for one with below average mobility.
Excellent location for Keukenhof. Liss itself is also worth a closer look. Good breakfast with plenty of choice.
Our room was one of those which overlooked the main street which is the main thoroughfare for late nighters returning home from the bars. Try to avoid these rooms for an undisturbed night's sleep.
Convenient to Keukenhof gardens. Nice breakfast
Directions/ map to find it from the bus from the airport were not good. The sign and entrance were not easy to spot.
Friendly staff. Room was functional but nothing more. Breakfast was ok But, wow, brilliant location for the Keuchenhof gardens.
Expensive taxi to and from airport. Messy/grotty courtyard - did not sit outside. Evening meal in adjoining restaurant was very basic
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was great and had no issues at all.
This hotel is very close to the tulip fields (5 minutes' walk) and Keukenhof (10 minutes), as well as supermarket (Aldi is just a minute away) and restaurants (round the corner). The staff are very helpful with information and our bags. We had left a walking stick on the bus, and the concierge helped us call the bus company and kept checking for two days until it was found.
We had a Junior Suite. The carpet is a bit old and dusty, and needs a thorough cleaning, especially in the corners that are not often used. The room needs more plug points (the few it has are very inconveniently placed, making it easy to trip over cables). The kitchen was sparsely equipped (there isn't even a vegetable knife). The room faced the alley, which is brightly lit at night (great for safety, terrible for sleep), and the curtains were not thick enough to mask the brightness. The toilet paper dispenser is behind the toilet, which means you have to take the paper before you sit down.
location to Keukenhof
room very small for the money
The location is fantastic (in a very charming neighborhood) and it is next to Keukenhof site (we went there on foot ~ 800 meters). The room is confortble and there is a complete kitchen available (including stove, pans, plates, etc.).
Location was well placed for Keukenhof, just a 10 minute walk. 10 minute walk to bus stop for Schiphol and Amsterdam. Lots of shops and places to eat just around the corner.
Decor in bedroom was very dark and the room was always very hot although the windows did open.
We were visiting the Keukenhof gardens for a couple of days, the hotel is only a 10 minute walk away. The hotel is very close to a number of restaurants and the bus stops are nearby for the excellent bus service to other towns, we visited Leiden. It was great to park my car near the hotel and not have to bother driving. We had a junior suite which was a good size, comfy bed and clean with a very useful kitchenette area. We will definitely use the hotel for future visits to the area. The staff were friendly and spoke good English. The hotel fills up quickly when the gardens are open, so book early.
Their is a bar next door to the hotel that has a new owner and he plays very loud heavy bass music until 4am on Friday and Saturday, so loud you can hear the words to the songs through the closed double glazed bedroom windows and the relentless thumping of the music makes it impossible to sleep until the bar closes, you then have a crowd of loud people leaving the bar. Apparently according to the hotel manager this is a new problem and the hotel is working to sort this out, it is worth checking with the hotel when you book to see if the the problem has been resolved. If not ask for a room away from the bar - it affects a number of junior suites. Our visit was in April 2014.
