Nothing to really like about the Hotel Eden. It is just a functional hotel in Amsterdam. It is barely a 3 star hotel. However it is reasonably priced compared to other hotels . However, you get what you pay for...... Avoid room 405. Its window opens on to an enclosed court yard, meaning no fresh air to the room. The shower is pathetic in terms of splashing all over the place. Shower soap dispenser broken for a long time. Room carpet dirty & stained. Room servicing not good. Room size rather small for two persons with luggage. No tea / coffee maker in room.

Location and close proximity to Central City and many interesting sites. The breakfast was overpriced for what was offered.

Nice Brasserie Very small room, minuscule shower room, just cannot move in front of washbowl. No free internet acess in room, wi-fi only in lobby, Hotel seem now to have included a second hotel. The previous one called Eden was far better, but is now Hampshire.

Location is very good, very near to Rembrandtplein. 1.When I first entered to my room, I saw that the arm of the bathroom faucet is broken and put on to the floor. And the faucet was not working. 2. After I started to take a shower, I tried to take some shower gel, but the shower gel box on the wall was empty. 3. I stayed at 4th floor, the water pressure was very low and the water flow was very poor. 4. The room was very very small.

Staff spoke multiple languages and were very clear and helpful. Occassionally blunt but I find this to be a Dutch trait. Luggage storable at the hotel with minimal fuss. Room was small and functional. Had a safe, aircon, strong shower, multichannel TV, good storage space. Ideal for MY requirements as a single occupier not aiming to spend much time in the room. Breakfast was well stocked and had good range during generous hours (7am-11.00) Hotel was a good balance of relative price Vs location. 20mins walk to the Centraal railway station through the centre of town. Eateries, Coffee shops, and shopping all very close. In room Wifi was not free nor that fast (eur17 for 24hrs May 2012)

the location of the hotel was the only good things i experienced, it is on the amstel bank and close to the shopping district ( a walking distance of 2 minutes) and convenient for city trip the hygiene of the room was so poor, and the size of the room was uncomfortably small. the carpet is so old, the bed sheets are not so clean and the there were no room to move around , i have been in smaller room in other hotels but the design was very smart used every inch in the room .
