Comfortable matressess, nice view of the canel, first floor so i could use the stairs instead of the slow lift, could receive wifi from my bedroom because my room was over the bar. Quite and peacefull. Safe area. great location. Free safe in room. The ground floor looked well and was very modern. I didn't like two single beds pushed together to make a double. The beds moved apart during sex:-) The hallway was dark and industrial with bed linen stored and on view in public areas.

Nothing to really like about the Hotel Eden. It is just a functional hotel in Amsterdam. It is barely a 3 star hotel. However it is reasonably priced compared to other hotels . However, you get what you pay for...... Avoid room 405. Its window opens on to an enclosed court yard, meaning no fresh air to the room. The shower is pathetic in terms of splashing all over the place. Shower soap dispenser broken for a long time. Room carpet dirty & stained. Room servicing not good. Room size rather small for two persons with luggage. No tea / coffee maker in room.

The location of the hotel is good, everything is in easy reach and the concierge was very friendly and helpful. The reception staff are very unfriendly and unwilling to help with anything they deem the job of the concierge, even when the concierge is not around, they will happily phone his desk (where you can hear the phone ringing and see his empty desk along the corridor) rather than help you. Our room was not cleaned every day (we stayed 3 nights) and both were bitten during the night which we presume was bed bugs or some other bugs in the room. We changed our booking from 2 nights to 3 and the rate they gave for the third night was a lot more than the second and third nights (our reason for chosing that hotel) and in my opinion over priced and not worth it. They also charge €15 for breakfast per person which we didn't have but thought was extortionate!

Location and close proximity to Central City and many interesting sites. The breakfast was overpriced for what was offered.

Apart from the location, not much else going for it. I have never come across such rude hotel staff in all my years of travelling. The concentrate on doing other tasks while talking to you. Their limited English should make them choose their words carefully but it is not the case here. The wifi does not work in the bedroom and when I called to get the cable connection set up, was told to call an 0800 number myself to get it resolved as I was using a MAC computer. Called to order drinks to the room and was told "this is a 3 star hotel, we do not wait on you here". They had a problem with my credit card authorisation and I was left a note to contact reception. When I did, was told to come down and pay as they did not want me running away without paying my hotel bills. I could not believe it. Customers are traeted like cattle on a treadmill, all they want is for you to check in at 3, check out at 12 and pay for everything else. The entire staff need to go on a custoemr service course.

Close to city and other attractions I.E. Het Muziektheatre I didn't like the fact that the beds weren't connected. I kept slipping in the middle and the beds separated. They were also very soft which hurt my back.

The proximity to where I had to be all day long allowing me to return to the hotel during breaks. The staff was also wonderful. I thought the bed was too narrow (do not understand why they where put together and it was not just a queen size; or even a twin would have been better). The bathroom was extremely small and especially with the bad tub, taking a shower was a dangerous endeavor, getting into the tub, getting out and not much room to move about or place to put soap and shampoo. Also in the bathroom as a whole there was no room to put any products or clothes...

Comfortable On arrival we were told the room we booked was "the apartment" and very dated, which was a bit of a shock as the pictures on the website looked very modern. And it never stated on the description that this was the case but the staff did offer us a free upgrade to a twin room which is what we thought we had booked in the first place, but the room was clean and comfortable

The hotel is very cosy. Tulips decor in the rooms inspires the dutch spirit. The location is perfect for city visitors, close to the main tourists features. Free internet in the lobby. Nice hotel indeed. The sewerage system is not perfect, sometimes it smells bad in a bathroom.

Location is quiet well - thats all! Только расположение. Simply dirty rooms. I've been several times in Goa, but even 2* pensions are cleaner in India comparing to Eden. Dust is every where, even mud. We changed 1 room (windows were infrony of night club) for the other but it didn't help - the same "cleanness". If you are planning your trip, avoid the hotel - save your money and nerves!

On reading some of the reviews after I had booked the hotel I was beginning to be a bit worried. I can only say the check in staff were extremely friendly and helpful - they let us check into our room at 12 noon instead of 3pm. We had booked on a special discount offer but were still given a room overlooking the water. The room was clean - great decor- plenty of room. Was bigger than any of the photos I had seen. No need to take towels, bathroom toiletries or hairdryer. They also have a baggage room so you don't have to carry your bags around with you after you have checked out. Would definately stay again - thank you Eden Hotel.

free Wi-Fi access in the lobby. The room was quite small but, nice and clean and had a little balcony. We were there on NYE though so the price of all the hotels was overinflated for that night's stay. On a normal night at the regular rate I think we would have been fine with the price we paid but, it is quite small. Wish the free Wi-Fi would have worked in our room as well as the lobby.
