Score from 198 reviews Wonderful
everything, especially the friendliness of the staff, the perfect location, the garden, the comfort
Free parking in street. Friendly welcome - this is the second time we have stayed here to visit our daugter. Tripple room is very spacious, although in the end our son could not come with us. Breakfast is a good buffet. Clean (I have allergies). WiFi works well. The rooms are in separate houses & you have your own door key. Pleasant, homely rooms. Restaurants & bars in walking distance, either at harbour or in a nearby shopping area.
If you are looking for a modern hotel with bar, big reception & up to the minute facilities you will not like Maurits. The shower room is a little small but adequate, clean & functional.
Steep steps....desk hours receptie
Overall a great experience
Available parking; good breakfast; friendly service
Telephone was not working first three days. I had to request using the phone downstairs at the reception area. I received a small charge for one local call at check-out time. Considering I stayed 14 days at Hotel Maurits, and encountering the initial phone problems, this phone charge was rather petty, don't you agree?
Personnel was available only at times but helpful. In general good value for money.
The bad was small. There was wind from the window. Sleeping wasn't good.
Very friendly people and helpful to find my way around. Breakfast was great.
Friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms, homely atmosphere.
Very steep stairs, rooms split among a number of separate houses. Bed made with stained sheet; this was replaced after first night. Towels small, thin and old.
Basic room but clean. Breakfast was good. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Although little could be done about it, the staircase was more of a ladder. Very steep.
The room was great - I was upgraded to a room with a balcony and a kitchenette. Couldn't make use of the kitchenette, but would have if I'd had more time. The staff were very friendly and efficient, the breakfast (self-service) was good, and the place was very clean. There was a view over the pleasant back garden, and the typical Dutch houses backing on to the hotel. It was in a nice area, near to the 17 tramline which goes to the city centre, 5 minutes walk to the World Forum, and 10-15 minutes walk to the harbour, and 5 minutes away from a busy shopping street where you can buy bottles of water etc in the ON supermarket. Thoroughly enjoyed my 3 night stay, and would surely use it again if I'm ever back in The Hague.
If you're not good on steep narrow stairs, make sure to tell them when booking as only some rooms are accessible.
nice quiet location within walking distance of the harbour and beach. Free parking on the street definitely a plus! Comfortable bed and reasonabe breakfast included in the price.
Friendly & efficient staff. Good size room. Free parking in street. Restaurants nearby at harbour & in a nearby shopping street. Close to tram for city centre.
Breakfast was good, in the garden and we walked to the beach the night before. Taxi back was only 8€ in the middle of the night. We like this hotel. Parking is free, but you have to find a spot.
Pretty hot and damp, but then again, the weather was hot and damp. So.
This hotel is very close to the harbor in Scheveningen and easily you can reach by walking or biking all the beach area, was nice weather so we were able to enjoy the dutch sun! Great breakfast, great staff, nothing bad to say, really!
We saw only old couples or family's with young kids, not really 20's-30's around us but anyway, was nice!
I enjoied the position near the seaside and the quiet, residential area
High narrow stairs to carry bags up. Hot stuffy room.
Very friendly and very helpful staff nothing too much trouble for them. Room was a good size and it also had a small kitchen area, and a small private garden patio. Location was good and public transport very close by.
Interesting setting, little garden.
Electricity system was weird.
friendly atmosphere great location cosy rooms
there could be more variety for breakfast (warm dish)
Very friendly place, especially for traveling with small children.
location, wi-fi, breakfast
NICE - QUIET LOCATION - REALLY CLOSE TO TRAM STOP FOR EASY ACCESS INTO CITY. GREAT FACILITIES AND LOVELY ROOM - EXCELLENT VALUE FOR MONEY.
This was our 5th visit.....that says enough in itself.
Nothing worth mentioning
This is not a hotel in real sense, but kind of a guest house by converting group of apartments. Bath room is very small and congested; services there not satisfactory. No caretaker after hours.
Parking! There is no parking owned by the lodge; and bathroom!
