The Staff were very friendly and helpful with restaurant bookings. The location was excellent, and the Coffee and Tea in the lobby was very welcoming. The breakfast while quite good, was overpriced, at €16. A price of €12 would have been value for money. |

Great location, right in the heart of everything. Room was spacious and clean. Loved the 24-hr coffee and tea in the lobby. If noise bothers you, ask for a room that doesn't face the street but instead the canal. |

Quiet location, yet within easy reach of any activities. Very friendly staff, with sense of humour. Room very clean, comfy and in good order. 24/7 access to free hot drinks and snacks v. welcome. Didn't realise there is mini-gym - would have taken kit if realised. No complaints at all. |

location in historical heart of A'dam yet very quiet simply cannot be bettered. the hotel is very well organized and has a friendly and cozy atmosphere. rooms, lobby and reading room have a classical and romantic design. one can sit and chat here, coffee or tea are free. breakfast is not included in per night price but is terrific, well worth the extra cost. most of the personnel are very helpful. our room was rather small. the beds were comfortable but a bit narrow. also the minibar was empty save for 2 bottles of water. ubiquitous warnings against cannabis use incl. stiff fines suggest hotel may have problems with this recently. |

The hotel was very elegant with an old world flair and situated in the heart of Amsterdam, but away from the craziness of Central Station and other touristy sites. Close ride by tram to everything and on a charming street with a canal right in front. Neighborhood restaurants were excellent and one had the feeling of being part of city life. The amenities of coffee/cocoa/cookies/treats were always welcome after a day of sightseeing as was the soaking tub in the room. Lovely experience overall and enhanced our visit to Amsterdam, a first for us. |

Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, all free 24h at lobby (great!). Location is fantastic, downtown, close to averything and yet distant enough from red light district not to be in the crowd, noise and confusion. Great restaurants close by. Tip from hotel: Restaurant Haeje Claes, great food, dutch cuisine, good prices. Parking very expensive (55 euros a day!), yet safe. Best tip: don't go by car! Driving downtown is terrible, cable cars (trams), narrow streets, bridges all over, bikes and scooterts... Impossible to drive around. Plus constructions everywhere around Amsterdam and Utrecht. Plane and taxi or train are better options. Personnel very good but night reception could be more helpful and kind. |

Excellent location and very nice room even if it was a bit small. The beverages and cookies provided during the day was a nice touch. The room was missing a clock which was inconvenient. You could hear the room next door and people in the hallways but I guess that is unavoidable with these old canal houses. |

Very nice atmosphere, great location, lovely decor Comfortable but tiny room at the back of the hotel - canal views were extra. A high price, even for the centre of Amsterdam |

Because they could not supply the exact room they promised, we received an unexpected upgrade to a magnificent suite! Not something we could count on every time. But anyway, excellent staff, and great location. The recent hotel renovation has been really impressive. Really, nothing negative - very good experience all round |

Lovely hotel with a character of its own: canal house in the historical centre of Amsterdam. Beautifully old-fashion styled interior with some air of luxury but at the same time very comfortable and homely. Very reasonably priced for its category. Would recommend it equally for bisiness trips and holidays. |
