Alkmaar is a traditional Dutch city, known for its authentic cheese markets in the summer season. You can visit the cheese market every Friday morning from 10:00 till 12:30 on Waag Square.
The artist village of Bergen is nearby and you can see the work of various local artists in several galleries. Bergen also has lovely shops and a charming town centre. Within 15 minutes you can drive from the hotel to the coastal village of Bergen aan Zee and Egmond aan Zee, with their beaches along the North Sea.
The capital of the Netherlands, Amsterdam, is only half an hour’s drive away. If you visit the Netherlands, you cannot forget to visit Amsterdam with its lovely canals, markets and art galleries.

The location of the hotel is excellent as it is right in the centre of town and very close to all the shops and nightlife. The rooms were very big, clean and comfortable. |

Enormous space with 2 separate rooms for 4 people. The kitchen and the toilet/bath/WC were in common use, but clean, comfort and fully equipped. The owner very helpful. Located at the centre of the city. Open parking place available. Being there in the future, I shurely book there again. |

It was great to be able to cook for ourselves after 2 weeks of dining out and do some much needed laundry. The location was great and the appartment is huge and very well appointed. I wish we had known that we had to go through the shop on the other side of the building to check-in or call the person. Since we couldn't read the sign that was probably saying to do so, and the booking didn't mention anything about it, we saw a phone number and my husband had to track a pay phone all over town to be able to check-in. I would suggest that booking.com mention that point in their hotel description or the booking voucher. |

The Hotel isin a very suprizing location, the room is very comfortable and clean, 5 minuts from the center and we loved it. The only remark is that you shuold mantion in the web site that during the day to come to the adress of the book store. |

I would go back to Alkmaar just to stay at this family hotel again. It was so nice and comfortable, that we did not want to leave to do sight seeing. It is in the middle of the shopping district and very close to the cheese market, so you can easily pop back to use your own bathroom facilities rather than public ones. |

A small hotel with enough space and daylight to feel confertable. You can use the kitchen, the refrigerator, washing machine and dryer. It's clean and modern. You have to share the toilet and bathroom (maximum 8 people) I prefer my own. |

Zeer vriendelijke, behulpzame, flexibele eigenaar. Rolstoelbeheer geen probleem. Liftgebruik. Mogelijkheid zelf te koken. Ruimte. Comfort. Soms lang wachten tot douche vrij is. 1 douche voor max. 12 personen. |

Très bon accueil. L'hôtel est très bien placé dans la ville, au cœur des rues piétonnes d'Alkmaar. L'ensemble de l'hôtel est très propre, les chambres grandes et comfortables. Il faut juste savoir que l'accueil est assuré par la librairie "Bookers&Strippers" dans Boterstraat. |

Zentrale und ruhige Lage, sehr schöne Zimmer mit guten Betten. Etwas schwierig zu finden, keine direkte Anfahrt mit dem Auto möglich. Vorher unbedingt eine Anfahrtsbeschreibung schicken lassen und einen Parkplatz reservieren. |

Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Das sehr große Zimmer und das Badezimmer waren frisch renoviert und sehr sauber und ordentlich. Es gab sogar einen DVD Player. Und zum Frühstück gab es Zeitungen auf Deutsch! Im Gemeinschaftsraum stand ein Getränkeautomat der nachts sehr laut war! Das Hotel liegt in einer idyllischen Fußgängerzone, die für PKW nicht geöffnet ist. Da Hinweisschilder am Eingang der Fußgängerzone fehlen, war das Hotel ohne Stadtplan nur schwer zu finden. |

Äusserst freundlicher Gastgeber. Riesengrosse, blitzblank saubere Räume, attraktiv eingerichtet. Komplett ausregüstete Küche/Speisesaal (gemeinsam) mit Waschmaschine/Trockner, Kühlschrank und Kaffeemaschine. Ideal für Familien. Super Lage mitten im Stadtzentrum. Gemeinsam 1 Toilette/Dusche und 1 Toilette für die drei Zimmer. |

Freundliche Aufnahme durch Bob, die ästhetische Einrichtung, die Appartementform Die Anreisesituation ist etwas umständlich, da man das Hotel selbst nicht gut mit dem Auto erreichen kann; Wir hatten keine klare Wegbeschreibung. Die Parkplatzgebühr des Hotels ist mit 10 €/Tag relativ hoch. |

Voor een vierkoppige familie ideaal, er is een ingerichte keuken aanwezig, waar je gebruik van kunt maken. De gezamelijke douche/WC geen probleem als niet alle kamers vol geboekt zijn. Het zou perfect zijn geweest als er een prive wastafel op de kamer was geweest, als je even snel je tanden wilt poetsen of je gezicht wassen. |

Der Vermieter ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Die Lage ist toll Im Internet wird nicht darauf hingewiesen, dass es eigentlich 2 Apartements sind und dass bei voller Belegung von 8 Personen (bei uns warens 5) nur ein Badezimmer zur Verfügung steht. Das kann mühsam werden |
