Very low ceilings for the tall folk. Not a big issues.
Quirky little hotel with lovely staff and within easy walking distance of Waterlooplein station. Very easy to get around from here.

I got a very small and narrow single room on 4th fl, and only narrow, steep , and complicated stairs were provided, so I would not recommend if you travel with heavy or big lugguages.
The location is not bad, but a bit tricky to find. More details on direction would be appreciated.

Amsterdam is not cheap. I thought the room wasn't worth the money paid. But I am afraid this might be a problem with the town, not necessarily the hotel.
Could walk to many of the places I wanted to see.

The staff were very friendly and most helpful.

The walls are thin and you wake up any time someone opens a door or goes to the bathroom. Not to mention the VERY drunk guys in their 20s who came back after midnight and lost their sense that this is a hotel and not the dorms...There is no elevator so you think twice before going back to your room once downstairs. The mattresses are of rubber and are extremely hard and not comfortable. In fact, this is the main reason I will not go back to that hotel.
The hotel is clean and has been upgraded so it looks OK . The staff were very friendly and helpful. I did not try their breakfast. The espresso/coffee machine and cookies are available at all times. Amsterdam is very expensive and this hotel is affordable - you get the value of your money. The location is excellent and there are various trams in the neighbourbood.

The bathroom was small and not well thought out. The big sink in the bathroom made it hard to sit on the toilet and get in the shower. Should have got a smaller sink.
Bed was comfortable, room was small but had everything we needed. Breakfast was good as long as you got up early enough to be able to get choice of everything.

breakfast ,nothing special
the situation, next to the city;I could drink tea or coffee at any time of the day

Toilet/shower very cramped.Knees touched wash basin under cupboard when on toilet. Not enough space to shower and dry body properly.A kettle in room would have been useful in view of number of flights of stairs which had to climbed.
Management and staff excellent. Quiet location. Free tea and coffee.

no electricity plugs
comfortable, clean, simple, affordable

Room 101 of the hotel is not a double large room as they claim and I paid, it is a small one. For paying with credit card adds 4% to bill - this is not mentioned on booking.com.
Relaxed atmosphere of the city, location, free tea & coffee, cleaning
