staff was amazing and warm. the hotel is in excellent location near the vondel park and all museums. 5-10 minutes from hotel to dam square in Tram. the room was clean and very nice. the breakfast was very good and there was alot of things to eat\drink. it worth the money
our room was in ground floor and it was close to a small garden so we could hear the noice from there
- attentively personal - short distance to the museums - quite area - perfect connection to the city via tram
Lack of lounge
Staff were always engaging. Light laundry services available
The location can't be beat - 2 blocks from the Rijksmuseum, 1 block from the Van Gogh and Modern Art museums. Great breakfasts and a staff eager to make your stay very pleasant.
Nothing was disappointing.
Hotel is ideally located on quiet street in Museum District. Great breakfasts. Clean, modern rooms. Staff was very helpful in helping when my luggage was delayed on flight from Sicily. You can't go wrong staying here.
New bathrooms in renovated rooms have annoying shower design where the floor of bathroom is the shower floor= water everywhere after you shower.
Nice, small and guests friendly hotel; the centre of Amsterdam is to reach by walk. Few great museums are just vis a vis. You can leave the luggage in the hotel after checking out and comfortably enjoy Amsterdam before leaving the city.
The staff were genuinely friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The breakfasts were top notch. The little pancake I was always offered at the end of the meal is not to be missed!
I found it difficult to regulate the temperature in my room, and the quilt was too warm. The staff gave me a lighter quilt, and that helped, but it still didn't make for an optimal sleeping environment. Also, the door to the room had to be shut very firmly, otherwise the lock beeped annoyingly. You could hear this repeatedly from other rooms until the occupants had learned the technique. Staff would do well to explain this right at the start.
I liked everything , from welcome to good bye . Great pleasure and will certainly come back . Also the breakfast was excellent .
Hotel Fita is an authentic old Amsterdam building which has been modernized enough to make it comfortable but the character has not been destroyed. The staff could not have been better in any way.
So close to the museums very helpful staff quiet location very good breakfast convenient for restaurants of varied types
Perfect location for the museum quarter, very near a tram line. Very helpful and enthusiastic staff, and great Dutch pancakes for breakfast. Would love to come back
Location, very friendly and helpful staff and they did our laundry free
No air conditioning in our room
Hotel Fita is a cozy, clean, traditional Dutch hotel in a great location. It's not only close to major museums and public transport, but also set in a charming little neighborhood that gives you a sense of what it might be like to live in the city. There are a variety of good restaurants in walking distance. The staff is simply wonderful--and the breakfast is lekker. I'll definitely try to stay here again when I return.
nice staff, excellent breakfast, good location, good price, owner was very helpful with dining, sightseeing recommendations
The breakfast is very good quality even though not too big
Location was great & staff very friendly
Hotel owner and staff cheerfully take good care of their guests including large breakfast. Don't miss the pancakes! Location is great, near museums, public transportation and canal tours.
There are steps to get into the hotel, but if you alert staff they will help with bags. A small lift is there once you get inside. Some street noise on the weekend at night.
Mostly great - I would stay again for sure.
The hair drier in room 34 cuts out every 10 seconds and overheats. That could be a serious issue leading to a fire. However, you immediately offered a hand held replacement - thanks !
Room was small but comfortable, bigger rooms available. Roel and his staff were wonderful, even did our laundry. Bacon, eggs and pancakes for breakfast. A block from four museums, location can't be beat.
A bit of late night street noise from adjacent schoolyard.
Have only been home 2 days and have already recommended to a friend. Looking to revisit in April/May.
Great location ~ 50meter from Van Gogh Museum & not much further to the Rijks, & the chic shopping street PC Hoogenstraat. Walking distance to the centre and the many restaurants in Jordan. And still it is a very quiet hotel, there is no street noise at night which is great as Amsterdam is one continuous street party. No noise transmitted between rooms, although the hall doors are noisy when they close, but all the guests seem very thoughtful. The hotel is quite small and run by a very friendly family, led by the highly efficient and welcoming Roul, so it feels very safe. Comfortable beds, good hot shower, kettle&Nespresso in room (really appreciated) but no fridge. Breakfast is excellent, mostly cooked to order in the small but elegant breakfast room. Tickets for the museums can also be purchased from the staff at breakfast.
A very neat but small hotel just like a B & B, but with about 20 rooms. Rooms are airy, with lots of light and clean. Food is excellent like a B & B. Excellent location to museums and transportation. You will enjoy the friendly atmosphere of the owner /manager and his family.
Friendly and helpful staff, great location! Would recommend to anyone!
