Score from 357 reviews Good
Wifi, flat screen tv, location
Soft bed, no value to the money, clumpsy knives at breakfast
Room was a good size, as was the bathroom, if a bit outdated. Fridge in room & excellent wi-fi signal. Food in restaurant is excellent. Good choice for breakfast (self-service). The location is good, with plenty of free parking. Easy to get to Rotterdam, Gouda, Utrecht and other areas
Would have been nice to have had tea/coffee facilities in the room. Bathrooms need modernising
Location was ideal for us as we were visiting family in Lekkerkerk. The bar and dining facilities were social and inviting. We had a lovely dinner there. Breakfast was pleasant. Luckily we had a newly renovated ground floor room.
No bedside table for my night time water. NO WHERE to put make up in that silly bathroom. The sink was useless. Had to place make up above toilet. Lighting useless. Useless furniture and arrangement in room.
Handy if you wish to stay in the Lekkerkerk/Krimpen area. Good breakfast choice.
Room rates changed, hotel unable to provide a rack room rate. Ended up paying considerably more for single occupancy of a twin room than the cost of a twin room. Answer - always book a twin even if travelling solo!
clean, female staff very helpfull
on booking.com they said this hotel was 10k from dordrecht when in fact it was 21 miles !!!!! it put us under a lot of pressure and spent too long in our car as we had to make daily trips to dordrecht, the male staff were so unhelpful, and when i purchased 2 cups of tea i was charged e5 and as a paying guest i think that was disgracefull, also another man was charging us e5 for 2 cups of hot water !!! unbelieveable ! every room should have a kettle, near the end of my stay a very helpful lady gave us a kettle...would never ever go back there ...
There are not enough parking places for hotel's guests and on Friday and Saturday the guests that visit the restaurant occupied all parking places, without any alternative solutions for hotel guests! Everything is written only in Holland, which caused some misunderstanding with the Sunday's breakfast timing!
I booked a double superior room 2 months in advance, however after checking in the room was neither a double or superior. Upon inquiring about this, the man at reception informed us that at the time of booking there was not actually any superior rooms left and they had given us the next best thing. It was very disappointing from a supposed 4 star hotel that they could not have informed me of this within the months of booking or even at checking in. Only after complaining about this was i offered the actual price of the room I had been allocated instead of paying for a superior room. The amount of flies in the breakfast room in the morning was also a little disturbing.
nice family room, with a seperate area for the bunk beds. Spacious.
the bed the matras was hard en I didn sleep well my back hurt a lot in de morning
Facilities were beautiful. Nice restaurant + terrace. Children's playroom. Quiet.
Smell in the room.
Location was good. Restaurant was excellent value
Stair Carpet could do with either cleaning or replacing.
Excellent service during the stay. However, there was no staff present in the morning and therefore could not check out as we had requested with a prepared breakfast as it was included in the rate.
No staff present on in the morning of the check out.
Rooms a bit dated
- Bedden not comfortable.and there is no tow persones bed. - no Aircondetioning . - no atmosphere -bad welkome staf en bad service.
I stay with my friend at the hotel for one night. Great location for those who like nature. Breakfast was very good. Staff in the hotel very helpful and pleasant. Room have everything that you need. We check out in the morning, left our bags at the reception and rent bicycles from the hotel for 4 hours to cycle around the area!! Fantastic day out. Will definitely recommend it to others.
we had a family dinner and really enjoyed the food and wine in the restaurant
The restaurant food was excellent, with good service. Able to hire electric bikes. The surrounding area is so gree and relaxing, with lots of little drainage ditches. The Issel river is very close, with lots of boating activty to look at .
The bed rooms were littlle tired. I think it probably only requires brighter lighting (change lamp bulbs), and tidying up of the various cables, and provision of a free socket for plugging in your phone/laptop charger. The corridor carpets need refreshing (I don't know if its dirt or wear).
Ideally situated in a village away from the hustle and bustle of Rotterdam, yet close to. Close to various tourist attractions. Spacious rooms. Would recommend despite some issues.
Key card to room never worked properly - was a pain every time I wanted to get into my room. Bar shut early in the evenings, felt it was more for the staff's benefit - so they could get home early!
The willingness of the staff and management to make us comfortable. Easy and free parking. Peaceful location.
The pre-renovation room you offered us at first. We did not expect that of a Fletcher's quality property.
Staff were very friendly & helpful. We had booked a room with a double bed, but on arrival found it was a twin room. The gent who checked us in told us they did not have any other rooms as the hotel was full, but he could come and put a double sheet on to make it a double! Fortunately a lady on reception intervened and said there was a double room available, but was smaller than the one they had given us, but we could have that instead (with a discount as we had booked a room with a bath). Restaurant staff were great and allowed me to have one of the starters as a main course. Food very good in restaurant and good choice, although menu doesn't vary too often, but ok for a couple of nights. Free parking on site. Free wi-fi throughout hotel. Fridge in room (not sure if there was one in our first room, but certainly one in second room!) Quite location, but a good location for exploring nearby Gouda, Rotterdam, Utrecht and many other areas.
Flies on the bread at breakfast. Bathrooms are a bit outdated and need modernising. No tea/coffee facilities in room
We were three sisters, with three adult daughters travelling throughout Holland, Germany and Belgium. We choose Lekkerkerk because it was in the country and not in a big city. We stayed two nights and had two rooms with three beds were excellent, spacious, and comfortable. We also choose it because of the free parking and WI FI. Free breakfasts were also very good. The town was close to tourist attractions, easy to get to, a pleasant town to walk in and the staff at the hotel gave us helpful advice as to what we could see. We highly recommend it to anyone.
