The hotel staff were very nice and friendly. It was very nice to stay in silence. It takes 20 minutes to reach the central station. Additional charging of 5% for credit cerds should have been mentioned at the hotel web site.

The bedding was comfortable. The room maid was nice. A lot of negative points in that hotel. Firstly, we took the "family room" which was as large as a corridor with 6 beds, a couch and a wardrobe. The plastic door of our room was fixed with brown Scotch. There was no shutter on the only window of the room which was closed with chains and a lock. It's very dangerous in case of fire. We asked someone at the hotel if he could open it but he said he wasn't able to do that. To air the room, we only had an electric fan. One of the most shocking thing was that there was only a bathroom for three rooms. The walls of the room was full of black & brown stains. We found a horrible big black bug (cockroach) on the wall. Very dirty. The hotel was far from the center. It was too expensive for the presentation of the hotel. The staff wasn't really welcoming. The pictures of the website don't match to the room.

Check in was easy. Room was dirty and smelled. Paper thin walls. Common shower and bathroom was not maintained well by staff. Hotel is located poorly to a good feel for Amsterdam. Staff decided it was ok to put 4 people in one 11 ft x 11 ft room which was never advertised as such. When I inquired they simply said "too bad" and was very dismissive. If you want a hostel experience (but want a hotel price) then you should consider Flipper Hotel. If you want a hotel I'd suggest another place in the city. I have traveled extensively and this was the worst hotel I've ever been to - it put a major damper on our Amsterdam visit.

Nothing... Sade... Because the night before we are in hotel in centrum with a bedroom more large without noise, with bathroom, with toilets, with the same price... And at the breakfast, there are cakes. We are very deceived for the hotel flipper. No quality.

Don't believe photos of Basic Single Room with Shared Bathroom! The real room is about 4m² and consists of a single bed, a chair and a small drawer. Also it's cold in the room (at least, it was in Feb'11).

Well managed small Hotel with very friendly staff. The room was very small. It was okay with me since I was out all day, but people expecting a longer stay within the hotel might be disappointed.

Pretty good value. With free breakfast from 7 to 10am. It has free wifi but restricted to 1st floor. Also 1 free computer for guess to use on 1st fl. Wifi is nearly no signal when you go inside your room. It's within walking distance to the Amstel Train Station. You can take Tram then switch to train to airport, location is convenient but a bit far from city center. Room service everyday, room is clean. Thanks. Will recommend! No elevator, a big hard to carry big luggage to 3rd floor but hotel staff are willing to help. Thank you. Free wifi only available at 1st floor. When get into room, it's nearly no signals.

Cheap, breakfast was standard, but you get what you pay for. Night time reception was sociable. Day time staff, extremely unhelpful had to raise my voice just to even get sugar for the room. Rooms were cleaned quickly I.e no dusting under beds behind tv etc etc. bathroom ventilator didnt go off all night. Location was 15 mins from centre.

It was cheap and that was mainly the reason for chosing it. And I got what I paid for! The hotel had good access to the tramp and the staff was friendly. A water boiler was available in the room. There were fruits available for breakfast. The room was tiny. we had one without bathroom. We stayed there for two nights and it was ok, because we spent only little time in the room. But moving was only possible when one person was sitting on the bed, while the other one could move. The washbowl was tiny, too, so cleaning anything or brushing teeth led to a wet ground as a result. The breakfast was ok, unfortunately they didn't have any real bread (only toasts), but again, that's something you can survive for a short trip.

The location was good. Otherwise the room was a laugh, I wouldn't have taken it if I knew how crammed it was; there was no place around the bed at all, no (room for) chair. For the same price I hired decent hotel rooms in (quite central) London.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. In general, the hotel is not bad, good balance of price and quality. Pretty nice breakfast, hearty. Very clean, cleaned every day. The room has a kettle, tea and coffee. At the reception a lot of discounts in completely different places. Helped in the museum of Madame Tussaud, I advise you to take. Do not like that were problems with payment of the hotel. In addition to the fee for a room, you pay excluded tax. The rooms are small. Comfortable, but small.

We found overall that the hotel was very clean and the staff helpful. Breakfast was adequate. Internet access was good. Shower was excellent, along with the comfort of the bed. Overall the quality of the hotel is basic and of a low standard and therefore, in my opinion very expensive. This is also a reflection of the cost of living in Amsterdam. We didn't find our hotel room very warm and the curtain was of an inadequate width to cover the window. Our initial room was so small that it was almost impossible to walk from one side of the double bed to the other and so we opted to pay extra for a bigger room. Based on our expereince we would never stay at this hotel again.
