Floris France Hotel    

It was very close to Amsterdam Centraal Station, even though we had difficulty locating the hotel. The staff at check-in was friendly but others were quite indifferent.

The room was pretty basic for the price. The room and shower recess weren't cleaned well everyday.

Owner allowed me to book in early since I had flown overnight. Easy walking distance to Central Station and quite a few restaurants was a bonus.

Unfriendly staff and very rude! We had asked to be ugraded to have x2 twin excutive rooms which basically means with a canal view. When we arrived we were allocated 1x double room and 1x twin room as stated on my confirmation from the hotel it specifiacally stated 2x twin rooms. When I spoke to the lady reception she basically said the hotel was full and that is what you have been allocated,we were not given the option of moving or a refund and basically we had to stay with what we had been allocated. The receptionist was rude and raised her voice at us which we did not appreciate! Will not be recommending this hotel

Location close to Central train station was great -- right on edge of red light district and China Town -- lots of cafes, bars, etc.

For 147 Euro, I consider this a real dump. While the room was clean and large enough, bathroom ok & clean, our room facing onto the canal was extremely noisy plus we had noise from folks clumping down staircase as elevators were so slow. Lobby area was dirty. Breakfast was in the pub next door -- very basic. All personnel were friendly however. Safe in room didn't work so had to leave valuables with front desk safe. Will never stay here again and will face the music, pay more and stay at regular chain hotel.

Everything, no comfort, old and not clean bathroom, air condition was from another age and very noisy, and on the top of that the price , 204 € for such a terrible room, it's a theft !! wonder how Booking.com can put such hotel on the website

The location was excellent

The ac didn't work very well, the walls were dirty and for about $200 per night, the accomodations were overpriced.

Not my idea of a hotel, more like a portacabin, in fact the floor we were on was definitely an add on portacabin. All 'facilities' totally inadequate. Depressing place to stay. Molly Malone's for breakfast was fine.

Location very good. Excellent value and great breakfast.

Smoking could be smelt in our room as it was coming in via the air vents, and as this was a budget room with no windows this was not nice.

The friendly reception

The breakfast was next door in an Irish pub and the staff ther did not tell you where everything was. The drinks were on a shelf hidden at the back of the room. The coffee machine was rubbish - excuse given it is difficult to cater for a hundred guests! The food was not outstanding. The ventilation in the bathroom is insufficient. The tatty curtains which did not close properly thus diminishing privacy. The size of a single room would not be considered okay for an animal. The shower tubing leaked and sprayed everywhere. There was rust/dirt on to tubing! There was no hot water on the sunday morning. Later the excuse was "its on now I have reset the boiler" This after most people have gotten up for breakfast! The price paid is normally a 4* hotel. This was definitely not even a 1*. The WiFi did not function and the staff were not informed how to reboot. I had to explain how it should be done. The "hotel" misplaced the reservations of friends of mine. Fortunately they were able to be assigned a twin room - in the cellar (no windows).

There was a lift. I would recommend everyone to visit Keukenhof Gardens, truly amazing!

Problem checking in, seemed I was checked in when I was still in Prague! Room I booked existed but without a window (not what I had booked), I settled for a double with a window (bed was made with 2 single sheets across the bed and only one side had a single top sheet!) Breakfast was served in Irish pub next door - was so cold had to wear overcoat as doors were kept constantly open.

Location, proximity to bars, restaurants and Train station and tourist attractions. You can walk to most places. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Can be a bit noisy at the weekend but this wasn't an issue for me.

Local parking is poor. Arrange with Hotel to have parking service collect car from Hotel when you arrive. Decor and facilities are basic.
