I enjoyed my stay, and the staff are very nice and helpful. The hotel is perfectly located. It is close to a few major museums like Van Gogh(within 10-15min walk), close to the canal (one of the canal hop on/ off boat stop), and also close to alot of bars and restaurants on the other end of the street (3min walk). It is very well transport linked. A few major tram route goes through there. Overall, a perfect located hotel, I 'd stay there again next time in Amsterdam.

Great location. It didn't have any lift. We had to carry our baggage all the way up to 3rd floor. Stairs were really narrow. Bathroom didn't match with 3 stars hotel.

One of the reasons that I chose Hotel Freeland was the location, it is very close to the Leidseplein in Amsterdam. Although the room was too small, it was right for me, as I was a solo traveller, enjoying this beautiful city. I would stay again at this hotel: comfortable, friendly staff, excellent location and fair price. The room was too small.

The hotel is ideally situated - both for being central as well as in the heart of the shopping area, cafes and restaurants. The Freeland Hotel offers clean rooms, free WiFi and a hot cup of coffee is always available in the relaxed atmosphere of the cosy foyer. But the best thing about this hotel is the warm welcome and genuine hospitality of the entire staff.

The location just off Liedseplein was fantastic, just steps away from trams, buses, restaurants, theatres and Vondelpark. A 5 minute walk to Museumplein. The staff were all very friendly and helpful; the room very clean and comfortable. The fact that breakfast was included in the rate made it a better value than similar hotels, and you are supporting small private enterprise rather than a big hotel chain. Highly recommended, but book well ahead of time.

Nice staff, good location just off the Leidseiplein. Room first night very noisy and couldn't sleep but next morning when I said so I was immediately and kindly changed to a room in the back which was much better in terms of noise and space livability. Hotel Freeland is on a main road across from a bar so don't get a room on the street because it's very noisy, especially on the weekend. Also the room I had the first evening in the front was very tiny even for Amsterdam Be sure to ask for a room off the street or in the back. Decent but no more than that, you are getting what you pay for.

The price is reasonable, the staff was very friendly, the vending machine had Heineken and WiFi was included. You can hear everything through the walls - running water, conversations, doors slamming, etc. The ongoing noise makes it difficult to get a good night's rest. The satellite reception is too poor to watch on the old analog tv'S. Bring a tablet.

Good location!! Easy walk all over Amsterdam. The younger man that worked there was so helpful and nicer. I have never had friendlier and more welcoming hotel staff. The breakfast was generous and tasted very good. We were on the 4th floor and there is no lift. The stairs were so narrow and hard to walk up. It is horrible traveling up those stairs with younger children and luggage. The rooms did not seem to be that clean. There was hair from the previous tenant in the bathroom. There was also soap and conditioner left in the bathroom from a previous tenant.

Really welcoming staff who readily gave advice on what to see and how to get around.Nice rooms with an individual touch - good breakfasts and tea/coffe available.Great location from which it was easy to get to all the sights and it's right on the tram routes. The bus from the airport stops a few hundred metres away as well. I would recommend this for families. The prices were very reasonable too for a capital city.

It was fine, we had plenty of privacy and the staff was nice.the location was great, we were in walking distance to the tram and lot's and lot's of resteraunts and coffee shops. We found out upon visiting that if you are going for the coffee shop's and smart shops they are not in every area of amsterdam, so I think that's good to know. We would stay there again. You should know that there are 4 flights of very narrow stairs and if you are in room 15 or 16 you will have to climb all 4 to get to your room. So if you bring a lot of luggage or a dog this might be a pain. I can only speak for the room I stayed in which was 16 but the bathroom is very small the toilet and sink are kinda in the shower. The only other thing was the room took awhile to heat up, my husband had to move the extra twin bed in the room away from the radiator to get it warm in there, even then it seemed to take forever.

Calm welcome, clean room, good location, very low price, delicious breakfast. What can be more at this price? Rooms are not wide like most hotels at Amsterdam. Don't try to look for a better hotel, because you cannot find.

Very friendly welcome, all staff friendy. Allowed to change room (from two single beds to double bed). Lovely room, comfortable bed, toilet/shower clean, plenty of hot water. Room had balcony over busy street, but quiet when door/windows shut. Great location just 200m from busy Leidsplein. Had a fantastic time. Highly recommended. Just one thing. The waterproof mattress cover got a bit sweaty in the night.

They created a beuty wıth using small easy details. A very good example to show ıf you are creatıve enough wıthout havıng expensıve art you can create rooms wıth joyfull desıgns. Every room has pıctures, colorfull bottles etc. whıch make you feel ın a relaxıng atmosphere. I stayed in three dıfferent rooms (just because three different time reservations) and they were all the same. I stayed in Amsterdam for 15 nights in for different hotels. And Freeland's location is best of all.It ıs only 10 mınutes wallk to Museumplein. For the most ınterestıng areas lıke Herengracht, Prıncengraht,Leıdsepleın just 3 to 10 mınutes walk. All the nice cafes, comedy shows ın englısh, jazz cafes, irısh pubs around the hotel. But the street hotel ısnt loudy. The breakfast room is another taste of art. Even they have just a little space they created a beauty from limited facility. All the tables painted in dıfferent lively colors. Colorfull fake tulips on each table. And joyfull breakfast. There is nothing not to like about this hotel. If there are people who doesnt like something about thıs hotel they are people wıth so much expectations and they need to stay in a fıve star hotel.

Location, price, cleanliness. Not too soundproof, particularly thanks to the bar outside. If you sleep w/ headphones or plugs, you should be okay.

The location makes several locations in the city easy to walk or bike to. The single bed was not level, the Freeland does not provide a bar of soap, the room was not cleaned or restocked with towels during my stay and the male owner repeatedly lied about having booked the airport shuttle return.
