Hotel Freeland is a charming hotel right in the center of Amsterdam. Stay in one of the pretty rooms at walking distance from most of Amsterdam's famous sights. Free Wi-Fi access is available. The owners Pascale and Rick do their utmost to make you feel at home in one of the lovely rooms. Each room is named after a flower and has unique decorations. Coffee and tea making facilities are available in each room. In the morning, you can taste a real Dutch breakfast before heading off into the capital. Coffee, tea and soft drinks are available at the reception during the day. The hotel is situated in the Jordaan quarter with many cozy cafes, bars and restaurants. The lively Leidseplein is just around the corner, as are all important museums and the Anne Frank House. Hotel Rooms: 15

I enjoyed my stay, and the staff are very nice and helpful. The hotel is perfectly located. It is close to a few major museums like Van Gogh(within 10-15min walk), close to the canal (one of the canal hop on/ off boat stop), and also close to alot of bars and restaurants on the other end of the street (3min walk). It is very well transport linked. A few major tram route goes through there. Overall, a perfect located hotel, I 'd stay there again next time in Amsterdam.

Free and functioning WiFi. Helpful staff. Relatively quiet but earplugs are recommended. A good hotel for that price. Perhaps best described as a decent english b&b (it even has a cat). The breakfast was described as 'dutch'. Apparently that means: toast, cheese (and ham for those who eat meat), orange juice, coffee/tea and a boiled egg. I would say that it's a continental breakfast and I would have appreciated if there was at least a bowl of fruit. And I would have loved to have some yoghurt or cereals.

This is a delightful, quirky hotel convenient for Museum, Jordaan and Dam Square districts. Friendly reception and lovely breakfast. Our large bedroom and spacious bathroom with twin sinks suited us perfectly. Bit short on butter and coffee at breakfast and would have liked to have been asked rather than having to ask for more. A minor point really but a tweek that would make a difference.

The location is ideal for central Amsterdam, with handy tram stops nearby. Free internet connection was very good. It was annoying having a non-smoking room, and yet still getting the smoke from other rooms, through the vents in the room. The breakfast room and service was not ideal - a help-yourself buffet would be more convenient and faster for those with less time.

Very convenient location for shops, nightlife, restaurants, etc, around Leidseplein. Good transport links to airport and into city centre. Within walking distance of many tourist attractions. Friendly and helpful staff. More choice for breakfast would be very welcome

Hotel Freeland is a very nice place. The staff is warm and polite. I wouldn't say is a place for little children anyway (we could say, for example, the abundant breakfast is more "adult" than childish). But if I ever come back to Amsterdam I will probably come back to Hotel Freeland. Free wi-fi for customers. Quite quiet. Near main streets but far enough from city center. Value for money. Can't think of anything really wrong right now. It's not a very suitable place for children, maybe (for example, they don't have milk to choose in their otherwise abundant breakfast).

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful with information. Great suggestions about tours. Nice and personable. Room was plenty big. We had a private bath and that was nice size too. Overall enjoyed our stay there. We would stay there again. Stair were really steep to all other floors. Didn't bother us so much but would caution travelers who have trouble with srairs or young children. They are almost straight up and down.

The staff are friendly and eager to please. The hotel is centrally located to the Leidseplein entertainment district which is full of nightlife, restaurants, and shops, and also it is convenient to tourist attractions such as the Rijksmuseum and the Vondelpark. Leidseplein also has frequent tram service to other points throughout the city. If your aim is to see the city's many cultural attractions during the day, and enjoy Amsterdam's wonderful nightlife at night, you can't go wrong here.

I was given a lovely room with a private terrace garden and conservatory! The room was spacious and had a nice bathroom, and there was a nice selection of hot drinks in the room. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, and the location is great - just a few metres from Leiseplein. Breakfast is served a bit late at 8am - i was there for work, and an earlier breakfast would have been better, but it was a nice breakfast anyway, so worth the wait!

It was fine, we had plenty of privacy and the staff was nice.the location was great, we were in walking distance to the tram and lot's and lot's of resteraunts and coffee shops. We found out upon visiting that if you are going for the coffee shop's and smart shops they are not in every area of amsterdam, so I think that's good to know. We would stay there again. You should know that there are 4 flights of very narrow stairs and if you are in room 15 or 16 you will have to climb all 4 to get to your room. So if you bring a lot of luggage or a dog this might be a pain. I can only speak for the room I stayed in which was 16 but the bathroom is very small the toilet and sink are kinda in the shower. The only other thing was the room took awhile to heat up, my husband had to move the extra twin bed in the room away from the radiator to get it warm in there, even then it seemed to take forever.

The location are convenience and the breakfast are good. The stuff are friendly. They provide free coffee and tea and wi fi. And they provide the hot pot in every room, this is the best facility for winter trip in amsterdam. If I go back to amsterdam, I may stay again in this hotel. without hairdryer.

Calm welcome, clean room, good location, very low price, delicious breakfast. What can be more at this price? Rooms are not wide like most hotels at Amsterdam. Don't try to look for a better hotel, because you cannot find.

Very friendly welcome, all staff friendy. Allowed to change room (from two single beds to double bed). Lovely room, comfortable bed, toilet/shower clean, plenty of hot water. Room had balcony over busy street, but quiet when door/windows shut. Great location just 200m from busy Leidsplein. Had a fantastic time. Highly recommended. Just one thing. The waterproof mattress cover got a bit sweaty in the night.

They created a beuty wıth using small easy details. A very good example to show ıf you are creatıve enough wıthout havıng expensıve art you can create rooms wıth joyfull desıgns. Every room has pıctures, colorfull bottles etc. whıch make you feel ın a relaxıng atmosphere. I stayed in three dıfferent rooms (just because three different time reservations) and they were all the same. I stayed in Amsterdam for 15 nights in for different hotels. And Freeland's location is best of all.It ıs only 10 mınutes wallk to Museumplein. For the most ınterestıng areas lıke Herengracht, Prıncengraht,Leıdsepleın just 3 to 10 mınutes walk. All the nice cafes, comedy shows ın englısh, jazz cafes, irısh pubs around the hotel. But the street hotel ısnt loudy. The breakfast room is another taste of art. Even they have just a little space they created a beauty from limited facility. All the tables painted in dıfferent lively colors. Colorfull fake tulips on each table. And joyfull breakfast. There is nothing not to like about this hotel. If there are people who doesnt like something about thıs hotel they are people wıth so much expectations and they need to stay in a fıve star hotel.

The concierge services were grand and friendly. They did not hesitate to offer their guests insight and guidance to the city's inner workings. The friendly atmosphere made it so a guest may venture with comfort and sureness--key sensations for a useful vacation. I enjoyed the stairs and the readily available coffee. No complaints. Price was right. Room was right. Location was right. No complaints.

It's sweet and comfortable enough. The location is awesome. It's a bit noisy in the room we had because it was near the reception and stairs and it was a bit cold too but comfortable enough.
