Hotel Friesland is situated in the center of Groningen, a 5 minute walk from the Grote Markt (market square). There is free Wi-Fi access. The basic rooms have shared bathrooms with showers in the hallway. In the morning, an extensive breakfast buffet is served in the bright breakfast area. The location is very good, and the rooms spacious. It is very dark in the rooms: the lamp gives barely any light. This makes it a gloomy place. And the price is definitely too high for the value you get: note that I was overcharged as they said that the booking.com price is a mistake.

We were able to stay there with a dog. Central location. The place is very noisy, the bed shakes when someone upstairs walks around.

Location was great. Not far from the train station or city centre. We were travelling on a budget so all we required was that our room and the facilities were clean. However, we found nail clippings on the carpet...so we wore our shoes in our room the whole time. Unsure whether our room was cleaned before arrival.

Good central location, inexpensive. The heating in the room did not work properly (or got turned off at night), so it was freezing. No soap at in-room sink, or in the shower. Street outside is quite noisy (there are bars on the street below), but this is to be expected for a down-town location.

Die Sauberkeit des Zimmers war unter aller Sau! Nachdem wir ca. 10Min im Bett gelegen haben, haben mein Reisender und ich synchron angefangen, einen trocken Reizhusten zu entwickeln. Auch die Haut hat etwas gejuckt. Der Grund: die Kopfkissen und Bettecken. Beide Decken wiesen mehrere Blutflecken und Brandlöcher auf und scheinen seit längerem nicht gewaschen worden zu sein. Ekelhaft! Nachdem ich die Rezeptionisten um neue Decken gebeten hatte, kam sie mit den gleichen Decken und einem neuen Bezug wieder und meinte, sie hätte keine anderen Decken. Unglaublich! Wir haben dann die Nacht in Jeans Hose und Pullover geschlafen...

locatie en prijs kwaliteit voor een week prima omdat we iets dicht bij centrum zochten omdat we nog geen kamer hadden - maar er als je alleen op je kamer kan zitten omdat er geen lobby is of ander vertrek is het wel heeeeel jammer dat ze de tv niet maken! het ontbijt is ook niet echt geweldig

Ik heb niet genoten Kamer zeer matig, bedden zeer gedateerd, slecht matras, vuile lakens, kamer niet echt schoon. Ontbijt zeer matig.

Ik heb het meest genoten van de ligging van het hotel in het centrum van Groningen zodat alles op loopafstand te vinden was. Verder is er in dit hotel niets te genieten. Het is niet meer dan een dak boven je hoofd en een bed om in te slapen. Ik heb niet genoten van de toilet en douche op de gang. Ik kan me niet herinneren dat dit vermeld wordt op de site en was dus een onaangename verrassing. De douche was bovendien niet schoon 's ochtends en het water werd al na een paar minuten koud. De kamers zijn erg klein, zeeeeer sober ingericht met oude bedden en oude matrassen. Het lawaai van de kroegen voor de deur is 's nachts in de winter zelfs niet te harden, laat staan in de zomer als iedereen buiten is.

het was fijn om voor een lage prijs een vierpersoonskamer te kunnen hebben voor ons gezin. de kamer was bijzonder gehorig (we konden het telefoongesprek van onze buurman midden in de nacht bijna verstaan). het was veel te warm in de kamer

Mijn internationale gast Kinda Tabbah (vanuit een project van de Hanzehogeschool) moest het hotal verlaten wegens de gehorigheid. De hele nacht was er lawaai. Verder was het toilet en de douche ver weg en op de gang. Na een nacht heeft Kinda Tabbah het hotel moeten verlaten (na betaling van een extra nacht)

Het was een stille kamer, maar het was een maandag dus er was verder niemand.. Het is een oud pand dus zal wel gehorig zijn. Top locatie. Erg budget

Het was een verschrikkelijk lawaai, door de dancing tegenover het hotel. De mensen stonden buiten te roken tot en met 6 uur in de ochtend. En de muziek was keihard. In de kamer naast ons zaten veel te veel mensen op een kamer die de hele nacht doorkletsten. De gezamenlijk WC en douche waren erg vies.
