The location was really good and close to all major attractions and restaurants. Very friendly staff and good soup downstairs and a blond receptionist. The stairs were too steep but i guess its normal for amsterdam, the beds were horrible, the beds would move away from each other every night, so me and my girlfriend had a hard time sleeping together. The room is very small so before you go there you may want to consider taking big luggage with you. No storage space in the wardrobe, the bathroom too small to shower in, the window blinders can not be lowered so you will have to sleep in the sunlight in the morning. The window was cracked so be prepared to get the cold freezing breeze on your head and to wake up with a blocked nose, coughing! Room service is in the early morning so if your going to party all night long and sleep in the morning you are sure to have a dirty room. |

I thought the locatioin of the Frisco Inn was great. It was right in the heart of the Red Light district so if that's what you were wanting to see i would definately reccomend staying here. Its also very close (8 min walk) to the train station. The stairs were very steep to get to the rooms but was worth it when you considered the location and the price. |

Staffs were very friendly, and offered a help when I was bringing my heavy baggages to the room. Steep stairs almost like 70-80 degree inclination. No lift all the way to 4th floor. But even this may be funny experience in Amsterdam for you. |

Modern "boutique" style rooms. Comfortable and as central as you can get, great value. We stayed 3 nights, our room was only cleaned once and all they did was make the bed so by day 3 we were using damp towels, our bin was full, floor covered in crumbs! and of course...the stairs! |

Hotel location in town is pretty good. The rooms are clean, breakfast is bad. Stairs are steep at the bottom piece, but it's not worse. What we are disappointed is that the images on booking.com not correspond to the rooms. We had booked 2 double rooms but the beds were not together. There was nothing, absolutely nothing that made be a little cozy, there was only the towels we got when we arrived. There is only room with bar, which also has a reception. Pool table is also there and you took breakfast at the 3 small tables. So not a hotel, we would recommend to others. The staff is friendly and helpful. Better facilities for breakfast, both the space, but also the breakfast. More comfort in the rooms and larger rooms, so the beds are a double bed, where a double room you book. And then there are other pictures on booking.com, so you do not feel cheated. |

Hotel close to main train station. Relatively quiet, despite being right in the very heart of Amsterdam. Room wasn't cleaned, bins emptied, bed made etc during our short stay at the hotel. However, staff were keen to charge an extra €5 if we wanted to stay any longer than 10am in the morning. |

Clean, nice and a great location. The hotel also has a small bar/resturant on the first floor that is operated by whoever is managing the hotel that day. It's an easy and comfortable way to sit down, have a beer and ask about the area. |

Very fresh newly decorated room, soundproof windows, good bed ! Very clean and superlocation close to railwaystation and shoppingarea, bars downstairs, lots of restaurants nearby, perfect. Also like the friendly staff, very helpfull. The steep stairs, windowblinds could have been darker, you can ask for a hairdryer which is okay. |

The staff were exceptional.kellie, steve & jennifer.the frisco was very central to everything ie.dam square, central station, red light district.only minutes of a walk.the room was very clean and comfortable with an excellent view onto the canal.ROCKY The cat was the purrrfect bar host.the rooms were cleaned every day and clean towels laid out.there was plenty of hot water in the en-suite for a shower.we did not have the breakfast but found a nice cafe 5 mins walk from the hotel.it was beside the barbizone palace HOTEL.a large cup of coffee was 2.50 euro.full english breakfast was 7.95 euro.the staff there were very friendly.we don't fully agree with some of the negative reviews.FRISCO Is by far one of the best hotels in amsterdam. Not a problem for ourselves but the stairs are very steep and narrow.a very busy and noisy street.this hotel will not suit elderly or people who want a quiet holiday. |
