Hotel GalamaDammen has a unique location along the water of the Frisian lakes and offers spacious guest rooms. The restaurant has unique harbor views. The restaurant has a variety of meals on the menu. When weather is nice, you can have a drink on the waterside terrace and watch boats sail by. The sauna, solarium and swimming pool offer a relaxing setting after a busy day. Kids can have hours of fun with the ping-pong table. We have visited this hotel several times and it always meets our expectations so your question "how did Galamadammen meet your expectations" is not relevant. we expected the hotel to be superb and it was - it did not exceed this, hence this fantastic hotel could only score 5 in this question which is not a true indication of our satisfaction. The question "which words best describes Galamadammen Hotel Yachthavens" is again poorly thought out. In a country famous for its watersports and the word "Yachthaven" in the name I would have expected watersports to be a category. Excellent hotel, poor survey!

Rent a boat and sail tourought the small towns and channels, can also go to the open waters, was really nice using a boat to visit those places. Area itself is nice. Hotel is old, rooms are big but not nice, the bar is a joke, looks dirty and not nice at all, we had dinner and it was very crapy, really disapointed and very expensive.

Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was bright and large and had a kitchenette which was nice. The views were pretty. Breakfast was very good with a nice variety and all very fresh. Travelling with 2 children and 2 teenagers I felt that the staff in the restaurant was reluctant to seat us in the 'nicer part' of the restaurant. We had a table away from other guests, and after half an hour of waiting in the almost empty restaurant had to call the waiter to order our food.

Being able to relax and having a nice meal at your hotel location. Loved the morning breakfast buffet included with room. The only complaint I have is with the internet. It has only a half hour limit per room and it is also very slow. I would suggest that they upgrade there system to be like a normal hotel and have free wifi available all the time.

Goed gelegen om Friesland te ontdekken. Mooie ligging aan jachthaventje. Familiekamer is echt een aanrader. Spijtig dat het ontbijt niet in de prijs was inbegrepen. Dit maakt een overnachting met ontbijt wel nogal duur.

Die Atmosphäre im Hotel, das Flair des Hotels, und die herrliche Landschaft. Das freundliche Personal. Netterweweise wurden uns die Speisen der Speisekarte liebevollst übersetzt. Leider sprechen wir kein niederländisch.Der Kellner brachte uns sogar Zutaten aus der Küche um uns zu zeigen woraus die Suppe besteht. Besser gehts nicht.Ich war schon mehrfach in diesem reizenden Hotel und werde es immer wieder besuchen und weiterempfehlen!

De faciliteiten waren uitstekend: het restaurant was goed, de kamer meer dan prima: ruim, fijne badkamer, goede bedden en schoon. Verder zit het hotel direct aan het water en loop/fiets je zo het mooie Friese landschap in.

Prima locatie, goed uitgangspunt voor fietstochten. Prima zwembad met een heerlijke watertemperatuur en whirlpool. Het restaurant bood prima eten/drinken. Geen fohn aanwezig op de kamers. Het bleek dat deze via de receptie te krijgen is.

De ,locatie is schitterend, het personeel bijzonder gemotiveerd en vriendelijk.Eten fantastisch.We hadden de oude kamers ,maar die waren echt aan een opknapbeurt toe,daarom vond ik de prijs wat aan de hoge kant. Een locatie om terug te komen. De oude gedateerde wat smoezelige(muren gescheurd,gaten viezig gestopt)ongezellige kamer

Mooie goed verzorgde kamer, geweldig ontbijt. Unieke prijs-kwaliteits verhouding. Dit viel niet echt tegen maar zie het als tip: * geen ijskastje op kamer; hadden we eigenljk op gerekend * zeer traag internet * we waren 2 nachten bij jullie. de 2e dag werden de gebruikte plastic bekertjes gewoon teruggezet; die hadden gewoon vervangen moeten worden

Zeer vriendelijk personeel, goede en vriendelijke bediening in het restaurant en uitmuntende keuken. De voegen in de badkamer waren niet schoon en behoefden wat aandacht, bij het uitchecken erkende de medewerker dat het bij de komende opknapbeurt als eerste aangepakt wordt.
