Location, was only few mins from anne frank house Guys that ran the place were friendly enough Very basic room for 70€ per night, not very clean, however Had no problem with the shared toilet and shower though. Backside rooms, if you are a light sleeper the nearby clocktowers constant 15 mins chimes 24/7 will keep u awake.

If you want to put your head for one night its ok. The staff are nice and helpful. First of all, there is no elavator, you need to climb a 78degrees stairs. The rooms are horrible we had mouse in our room and stains on the bed. Worth even 20 euro per night. There are much better places and more value for your money.

Location, location, location and cheap.Sais no smoking, but there was an ashtray in the room, and I opened the window, so no problem for smokers. Breakfast- the worst meal I ever had. No juice, no toaster, no eggs. All i got to choose was coffee or tea and a white dry bread with marmelade in a can. And wait, i did get a slice of cheese too!

The only one good thing about this hotel is that its location, few steps away is the anne frank museum, the other way is Dam sq, so its excellent for that. We thought we would get a little more for our money, you are greeted by steep steps which is hard for most to get up and down and more so with luggage, we had a room all the way at the top so more steps to get through. Run by a group of guy friends or family, the reception man was nice but the breakfast time man was awful and was not giving a good service to anyone. Our room was looked like a box with red walls, the bed was tiny and built insitu, which is not comfortable at all.

Don't expect any luxury at all, but that's why this hotel is so cheap, anyway the staff is very nice and helpful, the location is excellent... if you can afford this hotel instead of any hostel... do it!!! oh, and beware of the stairs, if you fall you will die!!!!

It was in a decent location which I ended up exploring extensively and became quite attached to during my stay. It's facilities were poor and the room was not cleaned once during my three night stay, I also had a terrible view from the window and no entertainment whatsoever in the room. I am also not convinced it was value for money as at a similar (marginally more expensive) price the Saint Nicolaas hotel just down the road was far better.

The Room was very small and simple, but it was clean. Shared bathroom was clean too. The location was great. Friendly stuff. Breakfeast was very simple. Outside I could hear the voice of Chuchbell or somethin every 30 minutes, so it was disturbing when I was trying to sleep. Otherwice the Hotel was silent.

The best what can I say about is hotel is localisation. Very close to redlight district, dam, restaurant ect. Trams, buses to the central station, Too expensive just for bed. There was no tv, wc (only shower in room), wc on the hall was very small, I touch my head to the door when I was... And I am not a big guy. I had very late plane (9pm) when I ask in the frontdesk if I can leave my luggeage for couple of hours, becouse I wanted to go sightseeing. The man said - that I can leave for 1hour. So I had to take my bags to central station and put to the lockers, which costs me about extra 20euro. Breakfast was the simple breakfast which I've ever eaten in hotel: chease, jam, bread, tea. I have to add that there was nguy on the night shift, who was very kind and probobly if he was working the time I was check out, probobly I could leave my bags. But I wasn't so lucky.

The room we stayed in had an awesome balcony looking down a street. Great views and a very nice unmentioned detail to the room! The room came with a private shower but not a private bathroom, both were nice and clean however.

The location of the hotel. Right in the centre They did not accept credit cards (although the reservation said they did accept them) alleging they machine did not work. The old-fashioned look of the room and the beds. The steep access to the rooms without elevator. The limited time for breakfast (from 7am to 9am). Small rooms. Carpet in all the hotel (except in the bathrooms). Staff distant, aloof and not friendly nor willing to help. Too expensive for the service provided.
