Staff very friendly and the experience of sleeping in a ship is amazing.
Wish he staff could have explain us something about the boat and everything to make the experience complete.
Location is convenient. Amazing service. Great feel to it.
Showerhead didn't stand up by itself but besides that worked great.
Very friedly and attentive owners of the boat. Tea and fruits are available at any time. You may regulate the temperature in the room youself. The boat is rather close to the city centre.Very good breakfasts!!!
It was rather cold in the bathroom and no hairdryer there. The room is very small - it's even difficult for 2 people to stand between beds, one should seat. But we didn't spend much time onboard - that's a good variant to sleep and to have a perfect breakfast for reasonable cost.
Great staff. Very friendly. Breakfast was terrific & very tasty. Great location. Definitely recommend!!
First of all - great hosts. Everything was clean, comfortable and we had a really nice and quiet sleep there. breakfast was ok, no complaints there. We really loved that "boat way of life" so thank you guys for your kindness an hospitality. See you next time beacuse Amsterdam deserves at least one more visit (but longer this time).
They don't have caffettiera. Only thing I could find I didn't like :) That's not even a minus so I can't say anything else. That's it.
Location very central, friendly hosts, Great breakfast and coffee, tea always available. Nice and warm. Carlos and Micaela answered all our questions about Amsterdam and are a great team to get the most from your trip. Would recommend this as a place to stay and would stay again.
Fantastic with kids: it had a strong adventure feeling for them (staying on a boat!), but it didn't lack any comfort at all, on the contrary. It felt like home. Staff extremely nice and friendly. Being right opposite the NEMO science centre made it absolutely perfect. I can't think of a better place to stay.
On arrival we have been greeted by staff who made us feel instantly at home. The accommodation is very clean and is an amazing value for money. There are tea/coffee facilities in the communal area (dining). Breakfast is more than sufficient and in addition to continental cold foods we were also offered freshly cooked eggs (fried or omelette) which was a pleasant surprise. The boat is about 10 min walk from train station and is very close to the centre. Would definitely recommend this place to have a short break!
Nothing that we didn't like. :)
Awesome location, great breakfast, very friendly staff. Warm and adorable rooms, little bit tiny, but after all you can't expect bigger space in a boat. Hotelschip Gandalf made the idea of staying in a boat, one of my best experiences. Loved it!!!
There was nothing to disappoint
It wasn't our first time here, so that tell you everything...
Staff is very nice and we received a warm hospitality. The location is very particular, being a boat. It's also pretty close to the central station.
Being a boat, rooms are pretty small, same for the bathroom.
I really like the place. It is very clean and the staff is very friendly. What I really like more is that the place is calm and not noisy at all. It feels like almost your staying in a friends house.
We have a huge luggage with us. Its really difficult to get into the boat if you are a girl with lot of luggage.
Itcis great located (near red light, dam square, crntral station...)... Very cheap and what you get is great. Clean, friendly staff, breakfast included (tea and coffe all daz free unlimitrd)...
Very well situated about a mile from the station and centre of town. Carlos and Michaela were excellent hosts. Breakfast was brilliant
fab views over harbour, friendly staff give you a warm welcome, something different!
Great localisation. Very nice owners!! Breakfasts really good everyone can find something to eat. Clean. Adorable dog on the bord very cute. If I will be again in Amsterdam definetely going back there.
Small rooms and quite damp. But it is boat! Still would recomend that place to stay cause there is more positives than negatives.
The boat is warm and clean even during bad weather thank you to the staff we really enjoyed amsterdam because of good nights of sleep ;) I will come back if I get this chance cheers
I like the stuff. They were helpful and even if we left so early, italian lady woke up and prepare us something for breakfast.
The location is great, only 5min from central station and maybe 10min from the city center...braekfast is nice, from 9-11 a.m., cheese, salami, tomatos, cornflakes, tea, coffee,...you can use the kitchen if you want to cook your own food, you can take drinks, beer from the fridge, but pay of course
First I thought the shower+bathroom was too small, but its a cabin on a boat, so for that circumstances it was nice
You feel like you are at home
Lovely stay, informal and relaxed and very good value indeed.
the location of the ship in the harbor is most excellent, easy access to the city, canal bus, bike rental etc. The staff was excellent, very helpful and a language genius (I think): I heard him converse in 5 different languages; very helpful, talkative; great breakfast; fantastic low price for centre of A'dam
The cabins were small but we only sleep there, so no big deal. Our cabin was a little bit nosy with the arrival and departure of other guests on the gangplank right by our cabin - other than that; superb value for money.
The staff was very pleasant and helpful
It rained while we were there, and with no air-conditioning, and having to close the portholes, it got a bit warm in the cabin
Excellent and helpful host. Unique experience on the water. Small cosy cabin but was as expected. Really neat and different. Would love to try the bike and boat experience in the future. Thanks Carlos.
Would have liked access to cold water and slightly larger towels - but with space at a premium can understand why. Ice machine not working. Bit warm in cabin however the noisy fan did help.
