I ‘d like in the Bilderberg Garden Hotel the personnel, the fireplace in the lobby, the bar, the breakfast, the apple in the evening... I didn’t like in the Bilderberg Garden Hotel the fact that they charge the credit card at the arrival a 50 Euro/day warranty deposit without pre-notice at the reservation moment, expensive internet connection, the broken wallpaper in my room, leaking heating system and some other parts which look old and well-worn such us hangers, mirror in the bathroom, stained tapestry of the chair, etc.

I liked the sincere interest that the staff showed for all guests, my daughter and I felt very well welcome and attended to .The rooms are really comfortable and spacious and very clean After departure I found I had forgotten my daughter's 4 soft toys in our room , a quick email and phone call and the toys will be posted to us, great service . There is absolutely nothing I did not like about our stay at the Bilderberg Garden Hotel.

Hotel is ok. Room was clean, spacious. Breakfast quite ok. A little bit far form the center (about 20 minutes by tram). Expensive brekfast and wifi. Especially the last one should be free. Hotel is rather 4-stars than 5-stars.

cleanliness staff not so friendly, we were asking for a double bed and we found a twin room - they didn't want to change that, not even a word of sorry about this; the bathroom looks very big in the pictures but it is 4 times smaller if you see it live.

Some of the staf were exceedingly helpful. The poor attitude of some of the staff and £25 per night extra for a small pug dog on top of the appalling overpriced room rates!! I travel Eurpe extensively staying in some of the best 4 & 5 star hotels. This hotel I`m afraid is NOT 5* unless 5* means paying ridiculous room rates for average rooms.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable, and the ensuite was functional. The breakfast buffet was very good The hotel room appeared old and dated. It was overpriced for a fairly basic hotel not even in the centre of Amsterdam. Having to pay for Wi Fi, when it was already an expensive room was a bit rude

The Garden Hotel is comfortable, clean and well located in a quiet and wealthy neighbourhood south of the Voldenpark - but is certainly no 5 * hotel. Such a rating is definitely exagarated according to international and usual Dutch standards. Upon arrival was the welcoming rather fresh. That was also the first time in my life I was requested to (actually) pay in advance upon check-in a 100 eur caution "for extras". Disappointing.

Nice, calm location, but still not far from the centre. Take tram 5, it is about 20 mins. Rooms are clean, bed is comfortable. Expensive breakfast and wi-fi. These should all be included in the price.

Nothing, bad hotel, poor service level, not worth 5 stars at all. We (father and 19-year old son) had booked executive twin room, upon arrival at 8.00 pm only a king room is available. Receptionist obviously is not interested and offers two bed covers. Later another receptionist comes up to the room and informs that there are no extra bed covers. So not only do we sleep in the same bed but also under the same cover. The receptionist offers a free drink. I ask for late check- out but is not possible. Nothing else is offered to compensate. We have booked the room for its location and 5 stars, needed peace and comfort for important interview for the son the next day. The hotel is not a garden hotel despite its name. The executive room has kind of a walkway outside and large glass windows but nothing can be opened. Ac is not working properly. But above all, reception should not give king room if twin is booked. And also, attitude, like it is not my fault, this is what we have, there should have been profound apologizies and compensation. Hotel made very bad impression, will not come here again. And I travel a lot.

Very nice hotel in a quite area..just a stone throw from the Hilton. The rooms are modern and clean. The staff are all friendly and very helpful...they bring apples to your room every evening. We choose this hotel because of a price deal. The only down side is, its a bit far from the City Centre...but we coped as tram 16, 5, 24 is near by and all goes into the City Centre. Will stay there again.

It has a good price for a 5 star hotel, but it would not have this category according to the standards in Spain. Anyway, the overall experience was positive. The breakfast and the room were good.

The room was clean and the barman in the hotel bar was knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. They charge for the wi-fi and not just a single charge but they charge for every device you have. So a traveller with a phone, a laptop and a tablet will bay eur 31 extra for every day to use their devices on the internet. Wi-fi should be free in hotels that wish to receive business travellers. The signal of the wi-fi was also really weak and even though I called the supplier they were unable to boost it. The room itself was very warm at night and even when I tried to drop the temperature the air conditioning didn't work. Very disappointing altogether for an expensive hotel which is not a 5 star.

The locality was excellent, a lovely affluent area of Amsterdam. Tram services superb (every 10 minutes) and some lovely local bistros and cafes within 15 mins waking distance. Very efficient service. Would definitely visit again.
