In a quiet backwater of Amsterdam, situated just off the elegant Apollolaan, lies a small hotel with a great personality: the five-star Bilderberg Garden Hotel. Within walking distance you'll find the most fashionable of Amsterdam's shopping streets, some of the greatest museums (Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh museum) and the world-famous Concertgebouw. And if you come for business, it's only a few minutes by car to the RAI and the WTC.

Please note: as from 1 February 2008 our hotel will be entirely non-smoking.

Food & beverage

For more than 25 years, “De Kersentuin” has been an established name in Amsterdam. A restaurant with a rich history where traditional dishes are served creatively and where Michel van der Kroft reigns supreme. Enjoy an 8-course “amuse diner” or let the chef surprise you!

Area information

Amsterdam is shop-heaven with its profusion of up-market boutiques, where you’ll shop till you drop. Saunter through the busy Vondel park or discover the real Amsterdam on bike. If however you are looking for a truly unforgettable experience then behold the famous Amsterdam canal streets from the water. Also in the vicinity you could also place a bet in the casino, be active in the fitness centre or undergo an invigorating beauty treatment.

Cleanless of the room, quite place, availability of supporting equipment such as mobile chargers, US-Type electrical sockets, and the support from the staff.

It would be better to have free of charge internet use.

Peaceful neighbourhood, large rooms, near museum quarter, nice buffet breakfast open until 12:30!!! (only weekends). Friendly and helpful front desk personnel.

Decor, amenities, are to 5-star standards but not "updated" to what you would find in other similar rating hotels in 2008. No swimming pool, reduced parking available -though easy (and safe) to park on the street, just in front of the hotel.

Service and restaurant

The hotel has no leisure facilities. We stayed in two different executive rooms both on the 3rd floor. One was a very average 4 star hotel room, the other a spacious and pleasant luxury room. Same price?

In a very pleasant area, although not exactly 'close' to the city centre, contrary to the information on the Bookings website. City centre actually a 10 mins tram/tube ride away.

Whilst the reception area was clearly refurbished and modern, the rooms and other areas looked distinctly 'tired'.

The cleanliness of the hotel was outstanding.

I did leave the hotel with a bad taste in my mouth due to the fact , With an hour spare before leaving for the airport i ordered two drinks and a meal. After a fourty-five minute wait i asked how long will the food be. He said sorry i forgot to order it. So we left feeling very hungry !!
