Bilderberg Garden Hotel  

I ‘d like in the Bilderberg Garden Hotel the personnel, the fireplace in the lobby, the bar, the breakfast, the apple in the evening...

I didn’t like in the Bilderberg Garden Hotel the fact that they charge the credit card at the arrival a 50 Euro/day warranty deposit without pre-notice at the reservation moment, expensive internet connection, the broken wallpaper in my room, leaking heating system and some other parts which look old and well-worn such us hangers, mirror in the bathroom, stained tapestry of the chair, etc.

Hotel is located quiet area. Convenient location near Museemplace (15 minutes walk) or 2 stops with trams. Suggested walk through cornely schuystraat with many nice fashion shops sand gourmet shops, and trendy cafés and restaurants, and then you can reach in 20 minutes, Rijksmuseum and VanGogh museum.

Service: 1- There is no separate Reception and Concierge desk, and during day only 2 persons and at evening only 1 person are available.That means, bit is necessary to wait every time, you need information about Amsterdam and/or about your room. 2- Internet works very poorly, even if you choose Business connecting service provided by Swisscom (WIFI hotel provider). In addition, necessarry to register twice separetely, (2x the cost) for a pc and let s say a Iphone or Blackberry, which is a ripoff.

After a previous good experience at the Bilderberg Garden Hotel we returned hoping things would still be the same, and I have to say that yes, they still maintain the high standards that I remembered .The efficiency of the staff, especially at reception and also in the Restaurant was excellent. This was carried out in a very professional but also understated way. The cleanliness of the hotel overall, including our room. Although the hotel is a fair way from the city centre, it is in a quiet, upmarket area of Amsterdam with a few good restaurants, which suited us fine. Would recommend the hotel highly to everyone.

The friendly reception and quiet location. The room felt airy and light. The beds were comfortable and the room was pleasant.

Staff were very polite.

My phone did not work, had difficulty getting an outside line. My heating was not effective. Breakfast was expensive and finished at 10.30am The servces and ambience need work , for those prices. Stay closer to the centre of Amsterdam.

Clean rooms, friendly staff

Breakfast is very expensive, above 20 euro/person. And we got only one cup of coffee with the buffet table for this price...

The rooms were comfortable.

I stayed in room 1007 which obviously has a connection with room 1008. There was no sound proofing between these two rooms whatsoever. We could easily hear conversations being held by those people staying next door and it was quite uncomfortable when they put their tv on - it was as if it was in our room. When I complained I was told that I could move but that there would be a charge as the only room available was more expensive. I didn't think that this was acceptable as this issue was not my problem. This spoilt my new year break as the boys staying next door were obviously in amsterdam to party!

The hotel was very comfortable and the staff were friendly. It is located in a quieter part of amsterdam which we preferred. It was located at the right side of the city to get a taxi to schipol early in the morning.

We stayed at the hotel on new years eve and new years night and unfortunately the restaurant in the hotel was not open.

Friendly and helpful staff. Absolutely lovely and elegant facility. Neat and very clean, absolutely spotless. Great location to public transportation, restraunts and groceries.

The breakfast & location.

Painters and decorators operating right outside our door - evening times.......but expect that was a one-off!

Very friendly staff. As it has only two floors movement in hotel easy. Very quiet neigbourhood yet close to town. Safe.

The Internet charge of 17 Euros per day is too high (more than 10% of the room charge!) and it takes some work to get connected. The beds are a bit hard.

Located in a very quiet place (during the night and the morning you couldn't hear any noise). The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very polite.The tram stop is about 300 meters from the hotel and during the night the tram is in service until 00.30.

The city center isn't very close to the hotel and you can easily get lost along the way, so you have to take the tram.
