Château St. Gerlach  

Everything was perfect as usual... we were there on a Monday afternoon and as the hotel was not full booked we enjoyed the spa/pool just for the two of us, a 20mtrs private pool. Perfect relaxation. We wen to the casino in the evening where I won back the price of the room and the dinner... the hotel is nice and cheap :)

Beautiful landscape, very friendly environment in general, the swimming pool is perfect and you can enjoy a fantastic, really relaxing massage

The breakfast is overrated, the sauna and the hamam are a little bit small and you should walk outdoors in order to go from the spa to your room which i find uncomfortable

Buildings are aesthetic and grounds are very nice

No bell service. You have to get a golf cart to bring your luggage from the car park to your room. No Gymnasium

The estate was gorgeous, the room was spacious and "modernised". I mean for a continental european wellness hotel, the rooms were modern. Usually I find these sorts of hotels are usually old and unrenovated and for older persons. It was refreshing to have something newer, with some depth. The restaurant food was also excellent and we asked for a wine recommendation which was also great.

We really liked the spacious apartment (it did not feel like we were crammed into a small space despite the fact that we were a group of 4). The rooms were clean and spacious. We felt at home instantly and would defnitely come back. The dinner at the Bistrot was fantastic. The chapel was impressive. The location is perfect (not too far from a big city while giving one the feeling of being away from busy city life)

Since we had an apartment, we bought food and cooked our breakfast. We found the price of the breakfast (28 Euros) discouraged us from having breakfast at the hotel. While we can imagine that that breakfast would live up to expectations and would definitely be delicious, we found that spending over 100 Euros for breakfast was a bit much. Perhaps different types of breakfast can be offered (or some a-la-carte choice) allowing guests to fit breakfast in their budget.

What a beautiful facility! The grounds were immaculate, the restaurant was first class, the service was impeccable...I could go on and on. We will definitely come back to this lovely hotel!

I loved my apartment to the max , it was like travelling back to Medeival age ... everything was great

I feel if you can replace the name on the door as per the people who stay there , it would make the stay more royal for the people.

The castle, the grounds and the countryside location are fantastic! Food and service for both dinner and breakfast are exceptional!

It is a stunning location in the countryside but located near Maastricht and Aachen.

The bed in the appartment could be a bit more comfortable

Excellent price and size suite (suite with 2 floors, very large rooms - we were renting the appartment). I've been traveling in different places and in several high level hotels, including palaces. This hotel is one of my favorite I've been in. Very romantic castle, quite, nice place. Very good restaurant. Prices are correct

Staff attitude - apart from breakast dining staff - was very poor for an expensive hotel with upmarket pretensions.. No one asked if I was enjoying my stay during the five days I was there.I was charged as two persons although I was clearly on my own. Wi fi did not function in my room. Silly stand alone fan instead of air conditioning. Absolutely no aspect of the hotel gave justification for the very high room rate. Cycle hire rate was enough to purchase a complete new bike.

The hotel is located in the middle of a park and gardens, which gives it a really quiet atmosphere. The swimming pool is not very large but early in the morning you can enjoy it alone. The apartment was very spacious, nicely furnished and cosy. We had dinner in one of the hotel restaurants, they are ready for little children and the food was fantastic.

Overall the favourite aspect of this hotel is I think the staff. The staff was very friendly, very professional, very polite, which is a treat that makes a hotel different from all others. The environment of the hotel was very elegant, antique and wooden decorations made it even better. Swimming pool, sauna and turkish bath were really clean and everything was well-thought. The food at the bistro was really delicious, and the hotel bar was well equipped.

I would be happier with a room that has more light, our room had only one small window.

I loved the peace of the hotel and its surroundings - together with very friendly staff. It was great to have touches like a running route on a tag that you could hang around your neck - and it was a great run. Although breakast was expensive for a simple buffet, altogether it was very good value with large rooms.

The church bells in the night and early some mornings.....

Great hotel and location. Loved our stay there, room was very cosy, hotel facilities and spa are great, it's in a beautiful location for hiking and enjoying the nature. Would love to come back.

Breakfast is good but for what is it it's overpriced for 29 eur. 18 eur would be more adequat.
