Hotel De Gerstekorrel

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral zwischen dem Königlichen Palast, Rotlichtviertel und Einkaufsstraßen. Sehr gut war die Sauberkeit der Zimmer, außerdem gab es TV.

Das Hotel ist leider sehr hellhörig, was vor allem stört wenn man ein Zimmer hat, das zur Straße liegt. Außerdem war das Frühstück sehr mager, nur eine Semmel und ein dünner Kaffee, es ist wohl besser woanders zu frühstücken.

Fehlender Lift, Zimmer nur über sehr steile Treppen erreichbar, innerhalb des Aufenthalts gibt es nur die Möglichkeit im Zimmer oder außerhalb zu frühstücken, da im Hotel kein Frühstücksraum vorhanden ist.

The hotel is an incredible place in the heart of Amsterdam. Absence of a restaurant bring you breakfast room between 7 and 10 AM, which is great. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Each morning with breakfast bring you a note, which says what will the weather today and what will be tomorrow. In the room there was a place for clothes and was clean. Breakfast includes fresh juice, coffee, bread, cheese, butter and jam. At next visit to Amsterdam I'll sleep in this hotel again.

The hotel has two parts, which are located in 50 meters of a street. We are registering an address of a hotel was elsewhere. Sorry, no free internet, unlike the majority of the hotel, but could sit on the stairs in the reception and use the internet with my laptop. The room was 51 and every morning from 8 o'clock in the morning just beat us the building, which was accompanied with a loud noise.

The location right on the Dam, walking to Central Station and totally central to everything was the best part.

Room 25 was way too small for two tall adults with only 2 large pieces of luggage. Not enough room for us to pass each other on two sides of the bed and around desk. One of us had to climb into the bed every time from the foot.

Breakfast could be somehow better although if you consider the other pluses, it's ok

Hotel staff was friendly and helpful, despite the fact hotel is located at busy street we were not disturbed by any noise except for the heating in our room ;-)

Great stuff, excellent location, room cleanliness, great value for money, our room was toward the street and had a very small balcony...

No elevator but I don't think that's a big deal...

Very friendly and helpful staff. Central location in a very touristy area. Not too noisy, if you are on the 4th floor. I'd imagine rooms on the lower floors would get a little more street noise.

No elevator and steep stairs! Very basic room, but very clean. Beds very soft, not too great for anyone with back trouble.

The location is excellent, very easy access to railway main station and other attractive city sighseeing.

No lift and stair is tiny. With large luggage guests, it is not suggested to stay in higher floor.
