Hotel De Gerstekorrel

Positief is de ligging van het hotel, in het centrum van Amsterdam. Verder is het baliepersoneel vriendelijk.

Ik ben zeer ontevreden over het ontbijt dat we kregen. Dit kwam totaal niet overeen met de foto van het ontbijt zoals afgebeeld op de site van het hotel. We kregen 1 broodje, een mini glaasje jus d 'orange en een kop koffie of thee.

(Kind)vriendelijk personeel en zeer alert, 24 uur bezetting zodat hotel alleen toegankelijk is voor eigen gasten, echte 3-persoonskamer: 3e bed (mét bedlampje, leuk voor mijn dochter) niet zomaar in een hoekje bijgeplaatst, alles was schoon, heerlijke bedden. Perfecte ligging midden in het centrum.

Erg gehorig, kon o.a. precies horen wat mijn bovenburen in bed uitspookten. Niet al het personeel sprak Nederlands, wat voor ons geen probleem was maar waarvan ik mij kan voorstellen dat het voor anderen wel problemen oplevert of op zijn minst stoort. Erg kleine badkamer waarvan de deur niet goed sloot en niet op slot kon.

Not your fault, but the steep stairs to the 4th floor were a killer to someone not used to mountaineering.

The reception staff were freindly,and the location of was good.

The bedrooms are of a very poor quality,the beds are not good. Acces to the bedrooms are by a very steep stairs. There is not frontage bar the entrance hall(not a lobby),space here is at a premium.Some of the bedrooms are house in another building up the street.

Great location if you like to be in the center of it all - its just steps from Dam Square. The staff were very very nice!

If you like a quite street, this is not your hotel. Our room was quite hot, so if you don't like that you may want to pass on this as well.

Great location-walking distance to all major attractions in Amsterdam.

I have older children, so the marijuana air wasn't something I had to explain, but it might not be a good choice for a family with younger children. The steep stairs are to be expected in Amsterdam, but it makes luggage toting a little difficult.

The location of this hotel was fabulous. The staff were very friendly and spoke impeccable English.

The room was very hot, the window did not open very far, and the one small fan provided didn't make any difference to the stifling heat of the room. However, when we asked around, we were told that the heatwave was extremely unusual for Amsterdam and this is why the hotel was not prepared.

The hotel is an incredible place in the heart of Amsterdam. Absence of a restaurant bring you breakfast room between 7 and 10 AM, which is great. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Each morning with breakfast bring you a note, which says what will the weather today and what will be tomorrow. In the room there was a place for clothes and was clean. Breakfast includes fresh juice, coffee, bread, cheese, butter and jam. At next visit to Amsterdam I'll sleep in this hotel again.

The hotel has two parts, which are located in 50 meters of a street. We are registering an address of a hotel was elsewhere. Sorry, no free internet, unlike the majority of the hotel, but could sit on the stairs in the reception and use the internet with my laptop. The room was 51 and every morning from 8 o'clock in the morning just beat us the building, which was accompanied with a loud noise.

The location right on the Dam, walking to Central Station and totally central to everything was the best part.

Room 25 was way too small for two tall adults with only 2 large pieces of luggage. Not enough room for us to pass each other on two sides of the bed and around desk. One of us had to climb into the bed every time from the foot.
