the stairs no toilet nearby
Budget friendly, clean accommodation in a great central area. Would use again and definitely recommend to all.
Minor gripe: No ensuite. Toilet and shower were on the floor above, but this was just a minor hassle.
The staff is incredibly nice. The position is great, close to the museums and a transport hub (5'), not far from the Central Train Station (20' by foot). It's a quiet street.
The room was nice, but definitely not "deluxe" as mentioned in the announcement.
the location is perfect, it's in the city center so you can just walk till the main sights
Location was ideal, rooms very clean & comfortable. Arrived earlier then agreed check in time but staff were very accommodating & allowed us to leave our cases in a secure room
Spiral narrow stair case to rooms, didn't cause us a problem but wouldn't be ok for the infirmed or elderly
It was in a brilliant location. The room was lovely and the staff helped me to organise a surprise for a friends birthday.
The stairs were so steep but that can't be helped.
Location is excellent! Bed was reallly comfortable. Good WiFi
Room was a bit smelly We could hear our neighbors loud and clear.
location, bathroom at deluxe rooms are good
there were dirty towels at bathroom when we check in. We asked for new towels. They gave. But did not took the dirty ones. Room is not clean at all.
The location is perfect for me
This hotel has gone down hill rapidly from last year since it changed hands - those who have stayed here many a time remember it as The Unique - the service was good, there was a proper breakfast room - now its just in reception - and pictures on your website of the hotel still show how the hotel used to look - not how it looks now - this is misleading on your part, you still show the original breakfast room which is no longer there! A great shame that this once superb little hotel in Central Amsterdam has fallen by the wayside big time - I shall be looking at other hotels on Kerkstraat for future visits
Location is good! Near to flower market!
Cleanliness still can improve!
Location, room were very good, the staff friendly and helpful.
premise for breakfast a bit small (in the reception lobby), sometimes noisy from outside at night (close nightclubs) but with closed windows it is OK
I just love boutique hotels. Massive improvement since the renovation. Will always be my humble stop in amsterdam.
No kleenex box in the bedroom. Thats all.
Stayed here for a weekend! Location is good but that's the only positive! Requested a quite room but was put in room 31 in basement with a small window facing the street and a parking area for bikes!! The noise was unbearable not only from passing traffic but from the staff! The laundry room was outside our door and bags of laundry lay in the corridor! The steps/ladder to the room was a death trap as so narrow! We were woken on both mornings by the staff banging equipment and doing laundry !! The room was serviced ie: the bed made and given 2 clean/torn basically hand towels to shower with. The rubbish bag from the other rooms was left on the floor!! On checking out at 11.30 (should be 11am) we were informed but a very rude staff member that we had to pay €5 as we were 30mins late checking out!!! Obviously, I angrily refused to pay and left very disappointed by the whole experience!! Speaking to other guests, they had the same comments. Amsterdam is a fantastic place but my advice is pay a few more Euro for accommodation and research research research!!! Avoid Quentin hotel at all costs!!
The shower was excellent Location is ideal for Museums, Jordaan and Leidseplein.
My (superior) room was in the cellar and as the window opened onto ground level I wouldn't open it in case something crawled in. I stayed here years ago and had a fantastic stay it's changed some what and not for the better.
No 24 hour reception
Everything from location to them winding stairs great place, great time
Perfect location and nice and helpful staff. Good shower. Good wifi.
Basement room, with nearly vertical stairs, almost impossible to carry suitcase. Tiny, dark room with a view on a pavement and even more stairs. Double bed made of two singles, but not attached to each other, so during a night we were driving apart. Breakfast must be booked at least 24 hrs in advance, consists of some toast bread, cheese and ham, all for 10 Euro. Around hotel you have a tens of little restaurants serving amazing hot brekkie for less.
Location central, easy access to sites etc.
Although budget accommodation the facilities weren't great, they are clean but only one shared toilet on the top floor.
I loved tge location and the sevice. everyone I spoke to was excellent. Special mention to Marie who was amazing. such good value for money
tbe stairs and the bathroom were tiny. But these ae small gripes in an otherwise fabulous stay
Noisy, can here walking about in other rooms, toilet flushing, generally noisy. No wifi signal in room. Uncomfortable bed.
Very central, staff very friendly, we're very quick to our assistance when needed.
Location and price
Non working Wifi and no space in room for luggage .. You literally slept on top of your luggage.
You can hear what everybody is doing... The number of bathrooms is absurd considering how many rooms there are. Bathroom smells very bad.... Room was not clean at All.... I even found cutted nails on the rug.....
Dangerous stairs & unfriendly staff. Fire trap. Breakfast facilities were inadequate.
Breakfast is very poor; It does not have lift and the stairs are too short (as an old construction). If you have a big luggage, be prepared for a nightmare; There is no air conditioner nor ventilators; There are carpets on floor; WiFi is very poor. Conexion drops constantly.
