The staff was helpful and friendly, the rooms are up to date, clean and very comfortable. The hotel is in a very nice location for walking anywhere in the city, I will stay there again and I reccomend the hotel to anyone looking for a nice luxurious place to stay. |

Lovely facility, pleasant and helpful staff. Location, close to central station, was good for travel both out of and within Amsterdam. Their climate control is not air conditioning. It was very hot while we were there. Windows opened only an inch or so in our first room. Also, close to central station means close to red light district and tourist craziness...noisy outside. |

Where to begin: If you are looking for a quality 5-star hotel experience, do not stay here. This is just an ok hotel. I'm not sure how this place scored the other raving reviews, but our experience was that there was no climate control (we could barely get the conciege to acquire an electric fan for us and it was still too uncomfortably hot to even sleep in our room), and the room I had booked with a city view -- at an extra cost -- was not available. We complained about these basic things immediately and throughout our stay, to no avail. This is not how a 5-star does business. It's simply unacceptable. Just don't stay here... |

very impressive building, great location, in the center but still far away from the crowded places, good food rooms could be bigger, for two people deluxe room feels like a shoe box.I think that the Hotel staff should be much, much better trained for a five star hotel. The whole experience was not like in a five star hotels, which is a shame since the building itself is such a unique sight. |

Lovely rooms with 16-20 foot high celings, excelent facilities, free mini-bar,top of the range Nespresson coffee maker. Art deco style, you almost expected to see David Suchet as Hercule Poirot passing you in the corridor. If I was being really pedantic, one day we were left bath towels rather than bath sheets, as I say that is being really pedantic. In any case if we had asked I have no doubt that they would have changed them. |

The rooms were beautiful and the location ideal. The gym / fitness facilities were unsatisfactory and not in keeping with the rest of the hotel good standards. |

Bedding is perfect. Breakfast is mediocre, but in the evening the restaurant cooks really delicious food and the service is perfect. The spa centre is not luxury at all. Art Deco design of the hotel made me feel uncomfortable. |

Spa was pretty good but a lack of dressing rooms (had to use the shower room) was dissappointing. Room was fine but small but overall the staff were excellent, generally Shower controls were difficult to use ( no clear marker for hot/cold controls. I had to wait for 45 mins to get into my room even though at check-in the lady said I had to wait for 10 mins. They never came back to me so I had to chase them to see if the room was ready. My colleague was also overcharged on checking out (350 euro as opposed to 250 euro) for the night - only that i had my internet booking form, they would have probably insisted on charging it. Apart from that, fine hotel really but I wont be going back to soon because of the few bad experiences as shown above |

Rooms were very nice and seemed quite unique, some with high ceilings, others with unusual arrangements tastefully done. Somewhat difficult to access by car although that is a feature of Amsterdam and not unique to this hotel. |

I found the location of the hotel to be very central to the city centre for shopping, tours and proximity to Grand Central station. It is located just far enough to avoid the noise and bustle of the city but near enough to walk for dining or walking to the city centre. The staff were very helpful and attentive at all times. I have no fault at all to find with this hotel. |

really lux hotel in great location very close to central station.Good spa facilities and divine bed and pillows.Glad we payed the extra to stay here. For an executive room,it was not of great size(even drawer in wardrobe could not open due to proximity of locker,)but saying that ,having such high ceilings one did not feel clausterphobic and the bathroom was a great size. |
