Grand Hotel Central  

From our experience, it is hard to think of the good points, considering how big the bad points are, however I think the best thing about this hotel is its location, as it is a 10 minute walk from the station, and very central close to the shopping district and not far to walk to the river etc. Secondly, the breakfast at this hotel was the best I have ever had at any other hotel. There was so much choice, that even a non breakfast person would find something they would like to eat!

Being a student, and having stayed in numerous hostels some of which of very poor conditons and also having slept in tents very often, I would say I'm usually very easy to please and slow to complain about the conditions of accomodation. I was looking forward to staying in this hotel and with the price being more expensive than I usually pay, expected it to be of a high standard. On our first night we were placed in a central facing room which was big and 'clean' and the noise levels were very low, however we woke up with water pouring in our window, and after telling the staff, we were moved very quickly. The next room was of a similar standard but was facing the nightclub across the road, this was very loud, and if you are a light sleeper, will definitely effect your sleep. The following morning I woke up with ten bites on one foot, knowing they were not mosquito bites made the rest of my stay unconfortable. On the final morning, we found a bed bug, it was very big and although we could not find more, under the bed the hotel had placed a bug catching device. When we left we told the staff of this and nothing was done or said, we paid the bill and left thinking that in future we will probably stick to hostels!!

Breakfast is great with big variety of dishes.

The is a night club nearby that is why it is always noisy at nights and it is impossible to sleep with open windows.

The internet signal is poor. I cannot access the internet. Difficult to find out the Hotel. The light of the hotel name was broken. It has just 'Hotel Central' no 'Grand' so this made us confused.

Good localisation. The breakfast was above the standard of the room.

The electrical lighting of the room did not work very well, we could only get light on the small lamps aside the beds. The front window did not close very well so all the street noise did enter the room.

Great central location near to shops, bars,tram etc. Good hot buffet breakfast and internet access in the hotel lobby.

Some slight noise from the nightclub next door.

Room was very dirty, smelled like puke. Bed very small. towells smelled bad, bathroom was very old and dirty.

Perfect location! 200 m from Hilton hotel in the city center. Towels - every day new. Staff is alright. Definitely good for individual traveler doing seminar, training or business when you want reasonable price. My colleagues got the same quality or even less for higher price in other hotels far away from city center.

Clean in the room, but not really clean in the corridors.
