Amrâth Grand Hotel Frans Hals  

We got an upgrade upon arrival,we had the choise between a junior suite and the bridal suite. Because I was with my daughter I preferred the junior,it had twin beds. Nice soft bed and sleeping with windows open. Location of hotel is excellent, Parking garage at 50 meters.And reception staff very friendly.

The junior suite was very dark without a vieuw. The furniture looked a little out dated.

Quiet at night with double glazing even though quite close to noisy bars. Good wifi. Very clean and room was a good size. Everything works.

Breakfast on the pricy side. I went over to Stempels hotel for breakfast.

Overall a very good experience. Helpful and polite staff, quick and easy check in/out. Fast wifi. Complimentary fruit and water. Very good breakfast. Very well placed in the centre.

Glass door on the bathrooms that was not flush fitting (excuse the pun). A little expensive, but they all are in the area More sugar as standard in the room.

Comfy beds, very clean, the hotel is very unusual design. The location is perfect, right in the centre of Haarlem, great restaurants, bus and rail close by.

Shower was poor, channels on tv ample for Dutch German but only news for English speaking.

Rooms were quite large and comfortable. Location was excellent, close to the main square and shopping/eating areas. A 5 min walk from the bus stop that delivers you directly from Schiphol airport. A good business hotel overall.

The price of the hotel breakfast is way too high. Just go to a cafe in the area instead.

This hotel suited us perfectly for our stay. Right in the centre of Haarlem, we had no complaints. Nothing flash, just a good basic hotel with pleasant staff, good size room, and excellent location.

The hotel was in a great location and was very comfortable and ver clean. I would say it was one of the cleanest hotles I have stayed in. The hotel staff were very friendlier and provided me with very useful information about the tourist places I wanted tio visit. I would recommend this to people.

There was breakfast however if you don't have it included in your accommoation is is a bit pricey. The only othe rproblem I found was that there were not may other choices of places to choose from if you wanted to have breakfast somewhere else.

Location of the hotels was great and I liked that it is a medium size hotel. At the check-in I got non-smokers room which turned out to be smoker (with a heavy smell in reality), I immediately turned back and my room was changed to a wheel chair accessible room, which meant it was spacious, I can say that all in all staff was friendly and helpful (however, I find it inappropriate to try to "sell" smokers room for non-smoking booking as even the key was given to me with a text that it is non-smokers).

For a 4* hotel there is a lack of attention for details. In bathroom, you get only a shower gel (attached to walls, so no clue about the name and quality it has), there was even no soap. Towels were clean, but a bit worn out. There was a wine in the mini-bar, but no wine glass in the room, only regular juice glasses. (OK, they say you can call reception and ask anything, but there are some things which any guest would expect to have in a 4* hotel)

To have to pay cash at the arrival to the hotel. Poor breakfast.

Location. Excellent reception staff. Nice rooms with good facilities and excellent bathrooms. Comfortable beds. FREE Wi-fi !

All staff were wecoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. Rooms clean and comfortable Hotel stylish and in brilliant position for the city centre Water coolers outside rooms and fresh fruit available that extra touch.

Hôtel en plein centre-ville, près de tous les emplacements du centre. Stationnement public juste à côté, un peu cher mais, après tout, c'est en Hollande... Ils découragent l'utilisation de l'automobile!

Central location, convenient for walking in the city, great room, even umbrellas for the guests to use when it rains, internet in the room.

No Parking and not possible to find by the navigation system

Got a good late deal courtesy of this website. Enjoyed the stay in the hotel in a place I had been to several times before. If you're looking for central, then this is the hotel for you.

Lack of parking but was directed to an area outside the parking controlled zone by the helpful staff.

Hotel and the rooms were clean and modern. Perfect location to explore Haarlem. Nice touch is the free fruit in the hallway. Very friendly desk.

No parking and public parking is very expensive. Everything in the hotel is basic. We paid a discounted price which was therefor ok. The full price is not in line with the more or less basic quality of the hotel. Advice! Add some extra coffee and sugar bags to the coffee making facility in the room. Very cheap to see only two sugar bags and two instand coffee bags....

Courteous and friendly staff, good sized bedroom, able to access room in the morning of arrival before check-in time. Very clean throughout. Overall very satisfied.

Very minor issues only. Cooked breakfast could have been hotter, and seating in the breakfast area a little cramped.
