Easy to get to and park. Short walk to the excellent metro system. Staff were very helpful and friendly

Very big room with air conditioner. Quiet. Breakfast is not luxary but everything simple can be found. Easy to get to airport (20 minutes driving from hotel), so that you can have a nice rest at hotel.

Window can not be opened(blocked). Internet in room costs fee and even the free WiFi in lobby shows slow or inaccessible entrance of some website. The whole hotel feels a little bit dark and creepy.

- They don't have their own restaurant, --- No free WiFi - Dirty sheets - Very poor breakfast

Friendly and helpful staff. Nice spacious rooms, and very clean. Although the restaurant is a short walk from the hotel, the food is excellent and worth the walk.

I've stayed at the Grand before and so I know that it is not the best hotel if you want to visit Amsterdam city centre.

Convenient location

There was no alarm clock in the room so we requested a wake-up call --which they never made! Rooms could use updating (bedspreads) Breakfast choices were limited

It was very clean, very large rooms, staff discreet but on hand if required. The rooms at the rear of the hotel are very quite. Very good continental breakfast,choice only one little flaw, in the box below.

Only the cooked part of the breakfast (3items) where dry. But not worth complaining about.

No mirror over dressing table! Towels small and thin. No double beds available in hotel.

Internet access - wifi must be available in all rooms for free. I' had go down to lobby to check my emails everyday. We are in 2012!

Difficult to stay here without transportation. Grand Hotel is quite a way out of Amstelveen.

Breakfast was very basic and really too basic fo such a hotel, no scrambled eggs, but sausages and baked beans. Limited fresh fruit

Nice clean hotel with spacious room. Restaurant is located a short distance from the hotel but excellent food and service. Wi Fi seemed better than many hotels and reasonably cheap (although I think hotels should provide it free).

No air conditioning in my room (I am told it is being fitted soon) and my room faced towards the afternoon sun. Curtains had been left open, so room was like an oven. Access to public transport is not the best, with the nearest metro stations being about 20 minutes walk.

With the fantastic bus info from miriam, I was able to go straight to van gogh museum and kukenhof gardens.

38 euro taxi from airport, I wish I had known about bus service upon arrival at ams.

Nice, big, quiet, clear room, good breakfast, parking place for free. Amsterdam is near.

Very spacious rooms value for good price

Staff very friendly, only due to understaffing they were under a lot of pressure and stressed. Not to blame the staff but the management!
