The room was enormous and very clean, the staff was friendly and courteous and we really liked the history and location of the building. The room did not have a coffee/tea station which is always very nice when coming back from a long day trip or waking up really early. Also, we were surprised at how old the television was considering this is a 4-star boutique hotel.

Old English style, very nice and perfect English speaking team, big rooms, free (!!) wifi, breakfast was ok, near the port - rather calm corner, good restaurants around. Old remade building , so not one of the top modern hi-tech buildings, but if you like the Old English style, you will love this hotel. I'll be back for sure!

Great location in the Shipping quarter and close to plenty of bars, restaurants and the river. Also only 1 min walk to tram #7 (to & from Rotterdam Central station) & 5 mins from Leuvehaven metro stop. Hotel staff all very friendly and helpful. Room 20 was huge with sofas and a very large ensuite bathroom. If you can get a good room rate deal, then it is a good choice. Certainly wouldn't describe it as a 'boutique' hotel. It's basically a nice independent 3 star hotel. Decor of rooms ok but the old crt tv and digibox combo seemed out of keep with the image that the hotel was trying to project - small investment of a flatscreen would make the room seem much more stylish. Beds were also a wee bit too soft for our liking.

Interesting design elements, large room, free wifi, good location for access to Ahoy stadium. Poor services/amenities for a four-star hotel (no minibar, tea/coffee making facility, or comfy chairs in room), no public rooms for reading or visiting with friends, no bar or eating possibility in hotel.

Good, quite location near the water. 15 min walk to restaurants/bars (great cafe, 'Loos' a few doors down - gets all the morning and afternoon sun - good breakfasts). Although basic, rooms designed well, lovely little 'boutiqey' hotel. Few damp marks on the walls in our room, could do with a little bit of 'beautifying'

de lokatie is prima , het ligt in het mooiste deel van rotterdam, bij een schilderachtige haven en in de verte het brede water van de maas met aan de overkant daarvan de cruise terminal en hotel new york. watertaxi's meren vlakbij aan. er zijn prima restaurants in de direkte omgeving. het centrum van de stad is op loopafstand je moet wel goed trap kunnen lopen, maar dat is inherent aan het oude gebouw waar het hotel in gevestigd is.

De ruimte in de kamer! Personeel is niet echt bereidwillig en slecht op de hoogte van de Rotterdam mogelijkheden! Van de Rotterdam comfort card wisten zij niet van alle mogelijkheden en hoe het precies in zijn werk ging. Met gevolg dat wij een kaart hadden voor 1 persoon 1 dag ipv 2 personen 1 dag!

Mooi gebouw, fijne ligging tov restaurants Ontbijt was 33,80 euro (ex btw) ipv de afgesproken 25,00. Voor dit geld kun je veel beter bij Loos gaan eten. Geen koelkastje op de hotelkamer, de tv is wat verouderd en er ontbreekt een prullenbak op de kamer. In het veem van het westelijk handelsterrein is helemaal niets te doen, alles is open maar er is geen publiek
